- AUCTION DAY! I made a BIG decision to auction off my wrecked rebuilt 2021 GMC AT4 Duramax truck that my Dad and I fixed. I bought this truck a few months ago from a copart auction with no intention to sell it for along time. This truck has had such a cool story behind it I wanted to continue that. Normally I would sell it online on my own but I thought it would be cool to film the sale at a live auction. I learned alot..
DID I MAKE A GOOD DECISION??

Did yall think I made a good decision?
no
Yea. New 2023s are $69k
I love the fact that you made some great content. And was albe to upgrade to a better truck. It doesn't matter what we think. Do you think that you made a good decision?
Build them,flip them,repeat..😎👊🏻
Yes. The drug runner looks much nicer.
That bond you have with your dad is awesome
thanks buddy we have so much fun
Wow Dad sorry for the lost. But Man the relationship and time with your Son. Is A Father's dream . That is priceless 👌
I love your respectfulness when the truck sold. You can tell you actually cared an wanted to be respectful of the bidders. Your Dad raised you right. Love you’re relationship with each other
Humble move brad. Spending time with your dad is priceless, so don’t worry about the labor hours u put into
Treasure every day with your dad. What you guys do together is super cool. I lost mine a long time ago during a restoration project of a car. Haven’t been able to work on anything since. So just walk up to him and say thanks and give him a hug.
After spending 8 years building a 69 Camaro pro tour. I took it too Mecum. I understand how your nerves felt. I was actually sore all over the next day. It’s was worth every minute. I did much better then expected as well 😅. Incredible deal for the buyer as well
I’ve enjoyed these Duramax build series videos with you and your pops. As a 43 year old Law Enforcement father it’s been reminding to create some great opportunities when doing things like this with my 17 yr old son so we can have some forever memories. So thanks you for sharing the love, and inspiring others to do the same. As soon as I can afford to put a small lift on my 2020 Silverado LT 4x4 I plan on including him every step.
thank you very much!! your son will dig the time you spend together. Life is short so we have to make it fun
Hard to say, until you replace the truck. That was good unit. Best wishes, young man. Life is about finding how each of us makes a decision and then weeding out our flaws. Everyone's doing it.
I just moved from next door of Riverside CA but my brother-in-law just bought a 2022 AT4 2500 Duramax diesel for a lot more than $60k (almost double that)
Whoever bought it should know it was a win win for everyone involved
Congratulations!! Natural high is best high
thanks for watching
I was one of the 97,000 registered bidders for this auction. I saw multiple state represented on line, Kentucky, Ohio, both Carolinas ,Texas, California, Georgia, New Jersey that I remember off hand plus we had bidders from Peurto Rico, Canada and China too that I saw online. I am from Wisconsin but I was signed in under my Kentucky account. glad you made out. your dad has the right attitude and is right, you win some and lose some the trick is win more than you lose and you figure it quarterly or by the year and not by the auction. If you do lose at an auction, just shake it off and learn from that mistake.
Wow you did amazing on that truck. Looked like a great auction. That's what you want, tons of serious buyers in one place ready to take stuff home.
thanks buddy! I was pretty surprised how many people were there!
Please keep uploading. Some of us are still big fans from when you guys were on TV. Now RUclips great channel love your father and you still working together
wow, thanks so much for your support over the years
I'm glad u put a resume on ur truck an im glad u got ur truck of ur dad's. Got great truck
Thanks for taking us along for this process. I think you did great for your first time at auction. Hang in there, you win some, you lose some but the experience is priceless. Great content, keep it coming!!
Thank you so much
Was waiting for your dad to bid on his own trailer waving his hands around lol. Was also waiting for your dad to prank you and tell you he decided to keep the black truck 🤣
ha ha
Sounds like the family broke even, plus you got some good content
Even with that little of a loss you still get that big chunk back to possibly try with something else. I do it with shoes. Huge difference on payouts but it's a gamble. It's fun though.
Auctions are tough they are anxiety-filled. You have your ups and downs it's an emotional rollercoaster. I'm happy for you guys. I feel bad for pops though that he lost out on five racks that's a lot of money.
Ive learned that.. I was a mess dude hah I know im super bummed for him as well
Great job
I used to go to the auto auction with a cousin. Was always a great time.
I read threw comments and see some good and some not so good at end of the day regardless of how much money is thrown around memory's are priceless you cannot put a price on that I wish my dad was still here to be able to enjoy that time with him!
Dad got them crazy eyes! I wouldn't fuck with him! Lol. That's what you call a hillbilly auction, outside in the elements! I love it! Someone got caught stargazing with the truck. 🤷
ha ha, it was a lot of nervous fun
always have great memories with your dad.❤
Ive been to many auctions. I've bought and sold at them but this auction had me NERVOUS as well! This was a fun video.
I heard your dad tell the auction guy that you guys buy and sell houses, I would like to see some of that as well. Maybe a separate real-estate channel.
I knew you should have went to cars and bids, it's Doug's enthusiasts car auction from the 80s 90s and today
That’s crazy , I just bought a 2021 Denali hd black diamond addition with 23,000 miles on it for 67,000 clean title, one owner. You guys did well on that for sure.
Wow congrats y'all and sry to your dad but he took it well. Hope y'all have a great safe blessed week 🙏. Till the next one be safe
thank you so much
You deserve a lot more than $6,000 for all the labor you guys put into it! That person is getting a good deal on a brand new truck.
5k not 6k.
Keep in mind no warranty, many insurance companies will not write comprehensive or many banks will not loan on those.
@Greg Roy they will loan on a R title lol.who cares about the warranty lol.used cars don't even have warrantys with clean title if so the warranty is only good for 90 days so warranty doesn't make no difference.
@@jerrywilcox9890 Loans an Warranty’s matter? This truck at a GM dealer has recall warranty’s only! The 36k mile or 3 yr warranty is nullified by the Salvadge Title Most banks now days will not give loans on salvadge title vehicles. A lot of Insurance company’s also put very high rates on them too. If bought an totaled or trying to trade into dealer the payout would or trade would be 30% less.
Awesome glad you made out on that truck. Bad for your dads trailer but at least he is out from under it. Great video!
How did he make out on it exactly? They sold it for $67k but had $61k into it on the build and that's not including any of the HOURS of labor. After auction fees+taxes, he probably broke even and breaking even... Is far from "making out".
@@ryanturner3432 that’s my point he didn’t take a loss in general he made 66k. Like his dad did on the trailer where he lost 5.2k.
That was nerve wracking. Congrats man. Cant wait to see what you do wotu the black beauty
Take a sippy sip everytime you hear the word auction.
It looks like you guys had quite the day and a incredible experience
Hi Brad congrats on your truck, well deserved. That truck was better than buying it new off the lot.👍👍👍👍🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
Brad, you sold a nice truck and deserved ever penny.
You're a good, respectful young man. God bless
Looks like you might need to do this again. Although the stress was pretty intense!! You did great though.
Man idk if I can handle it again lol!
I’m glad you guys were able to sell the truck make a little
Asome Day.
One For The Book s.
Love you Guys.
Keeping it Real.
thank you bud
Congratulations. I've been to many auctions both to buy and to sell and the weather has a lot to do with what the price will bring. Unfortunately for your dad he might have gotten more if it wasn't raining and cold.
thanks for watching
I knew you would do just fine 🤩! You and your pops are good people and even tho he lost a bit on the trailer still exciting you guys made it on the truck and hey your pops can use that loss on his taxes 🙌🤩. Write off baby! That was fun 😁
Thank you!! 😁
I’ve sold several items at auctions and it’s still intense! Also addictive you’ll be back.
Great job. Nice return on your investment and a very nice truck for the buyer too. It was 100% fixed right and better than oem. I love all the internet experts with their naysayers comments. The used truck market is through the roof. Truth be told, it only has to be a good buy for the actual buyer. If he’s happy that’s what matters.
Pop’s feeling hurt hurt 😂
I assume since there was no mention of auction fees the auction let you in for free for the online exposure? If so that’s awesome for you guys. Those fees usually eat up any profit you might make.
That is correct
Just started watching and love the content. But I mostly watch on my tv and the audio is super low on your videos but normal on my phone.
Congrats 👏🏻👏🏻 Having the DeBerti name behind the truck definitely increased its value ✌🏻
thanks for watching
Build one of the work truck with your bed tray see how much it would go at auction
Respect 🫡
Thanks for sharing man.
Keep up the great work and keep following your dreams.
Best life to you.
The loss on the trailer sucks man but you have to keep in mind the use you got out of it also.
If you would have had to rent one like that to fit your needs that makes the loss nothing man.
Big respect to you guys.
thanks bud
Appreciate that
Would love to see video about y’all buying and selling Houses.
Auctions do drive your emotions, I know the feeling
This channel great, you both do some really impressive things and with that said I’d love to hang out with your father and you, he’s a hoot. I’m a bit older than he is and think you are a lucky guy to have him, he must have always been fun. Heck watching him play air guitar with your baby in the Denali video was hilarious. That little girl is adored by him.
thank you for watching. yes my pops is crazy over my daughter.
2023 truck. $109.0000 and up. But have full coverage.
Glad you made out bro, im on brads team for this one nice job brother!!
Brad the black looks much better I know you're going to change it up but you got a sweet deal and a clean canvas 😉
I lost 5k last night at casino so yea I know how that is 😂 good job on auction sale jam packed with excitement!
I’m happy you got what you needed for the truck.
thanks man. Would of been awesome to get more obviously but i so thankful on what it did
your truck is going back to cali like you guys should! maybe it is a follower of yours?!
Would love to see what lift and tires you go with
You and your dad are an excellent team ! Hopefully you cover his losses with your gains and everything works out aces!
thank you so much
Hi guys .Great content.Take your Dad out for some beers and JDs .He might say just give me half of the money and were good son lol.
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
ha ha ha!! that's great!! thanks for watching
It’s life brother. You did good on that sale.
Don't stop now! Time to log back into copart!! lol Definitely loving the new content
thanks for watching
So I'm guessing he pulled the chrome trim off the Denali, and put it on the AT4, since he was going all black on the Denali. That's how the chrome ended up on the AT4, and you can see the Denali now had black trim around the windows.
Why didn't you show the trailer when it was being sold? Also, why be worried if you have a reserve?
He let the trailer go bellow reserve.
Well Brad....don't forget the auction fees. Auctioned a 67 427 4spd corvette convertible years ago thru mecum and my selling fee was 17k....lol
Good decision, thanks for sharing your day with us.
thanks for watching bud
Anyone who bought new trucks 3-8 years ago. You gettin all your money back when you sell with reasonable miles and good care.
Watched the auction. I was biting my nails the whole time!!!!!
I was pretty nervous not gonna liee...
Congratulations the black truck is yours now that's awesome buddy it's a beautiful ride had a feeling that truck would do well pops took a hit that's a bummer Barrett-Jackson was in town in Las Vegas I was going to sell my 69 convertible Chevelle and backed out best decision of my life doing a Yanko tribute with it now
thanks! that's awesome you kept your chevelle
You guys made out great at the auction. Well not the trailer but it feels good to work hard on something and have it pay off and people realize the quality of what you guys did. Awesome.
HAAAAAA YPUR POPS IMPRESSION OF THE AUCTIONEER 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can tell a lot of the people didn't watch the prior video or don't get why you were talking about the number of people online for the auction. I didn't watch the prior video and caught it right away. You make a video promoting their auction and in return you don't have to pay fees. It will be mutually beneficial in the future. The auction gets a lot more sales and people online, and they can sell their item with no fee or discounted. Also, it will help them because more people generally means items will sell at a higher price.
Watch the auction and I could have sworn I heard you in the back ground Brad. Hope it worked out for you both. I hope we get to see Turbo bust out the air guitar.
someone got a smoking deal on that trailer. I am not a horse person but that trailer is incredible.
Crazy how damn trucks go almost as much as a small house nowadays
Love the videos watched for a bit now. Suggestion as a viewer, audio is really quiet compared to commercials and other videos. Maybe turn it up on the doting side?
Thanks for the tip!
Watching this, I was NERVOUS!
Happy it all worked out for you Bud. I love your Hat 🤙
Thanks 👍
Nice to see that it went well for you. 66000. - auction cost = ? $
Well, good odds are stacked on your truck. Definitely you'd get the reserve. no doubt about it. Too bad about your dad's; well, you win some, you lose some.
some of the adrenalin rushes I have had at auctions arethe biggest of my life!!! have fun
That’s cool man makes some extra that’s a great build God bless both yaa
Great content!congratulations on your truck selling.cant wait to see what you do with the black one
Thanks cory, im sad but also excited. Next episode we finish all the paint matching parts
They charge you a seller's premium? Usually auctions have both sellers and buyers premium so they can make a profit.
It's exciting to see how the bidding works at a auction. Did you get to 2023 Denali all fixed up? What's next on the rebuild list? Keep up the great videos.
Working on it. thanks for watching
I love the vids man content is amazing always itching for the next one
thanks so much for watching!
Congratulations fellas! Happy for you both!
thanks will!
Congrats but it’s crazy that someone was willing to pay $67k plus auction fees for a salvaged title, 2021 Sierra 2500 AT4.
Ya'll got me all nervous...😆
Congrats man, glad you got your truck price!
Congrats and God Bless America!!!
Someone got a hell of a deal on both
Ive watched you both for quite sometime, i wish i had the relationship wit my Dad like you did yours Brad! so cool man.
Thanks bud
You guys did alright on the truck you figure labor is anywhere from 75-130 .I calculated about 40hours of labor about 100 dollars a hour it gave you some wiggle room.
You over react you know you got your money back in the videos. That’s just profit congrats
You guys are awesome 👌 👏 👍
Stay blessed 🙌
Thank you so much 😀
U know u guys are the reason they got some extra attention/attraction
And they know it but they aren’t willing to admit it
for a salvage title truck?you did veryyyyyyyyy well!!!!!
It's a good thing you were happy with $61k because after the auction fees+taxes... That's probably what you'll get (if not less). Breaking even SUCKS. Especially with the amount of work that went into it.
