One of my favorite moves that has saved me a few times. In a situation like the first story where someone takes you by surprise? Look past them (not too much, you want to still be able to see them with your peripheral vision), give a half smirk, and a "sup" nod. You'd be surprised how often the person will actually look behind themselves. Which could give you a live saving moment to react.

I've stayed in a hotel room alone before. I'll admit, the first time was a little strange, but I got used to it. I went on a business trip alone and went to see some friends out of state, so I've had my own hotel room a handful of times.
There's a phobia called "Phasmophobia", it's common in childhood, sometimes when a person grows up they get over it, on the other hand they still have it. It usually occurs at night, u feel a ghostly presence in your room, and you think you will be in contact with a super natural creature any moment, it prevents people from sleeping alone. I once had it at night, I can't tell you how I felt. And when you even hear noises, they're just tiny noises but you accept them as evidence of a ghostly supernatural presence. It's a bad thing, trust me
A year after my grandma passed away I was siting on the couch talking to my mom and then the light flickered and a shadow appeared that looked like her then it flickered agin and it was gone
A few days after my father passed away on a July day I was sitting in his recliner. I felt a cold chill in front of me. I extended my arms to acknowledge its presence. Never experienced it again. Don't know if Dad was trying to let me know there is a afterlife or if he just wanted me to get off his recliner.
The last story kinda hits hard cuz I’ve been having a lot of fights with my dad the past 4 years. Well, it’s more of a one sided fight of my dad telling me how useless I am and me just standing there silently. So yeah, that one hit real close for me.

I've stayed in a hotel room alone before. I'll admit, the first time was a little strange, but I got used to it. I went on a business trip alone and went to see some friends out of state, so I've had my own hotel room a handful of times.
There's a phobia called "Phasmophobia", it's common in childhood, sometimes when a person grows up they get over it, on the other hand they still have it. It usually occurs at night, u feel a ghostly presence in your room, and you think you will be in contact with a super natural creature any moment, it prevents people from sleeping alone. I once had it at night, I can't tell you how I felt. And when you even hear noises, they're just tiny noises but you accept them as evidence of a ghostly supernatural presence. It's a bad thing, trust me
A year after my grandma passed away I was siting on the couch talking to my mom and then the light flickered and a shadow appeared that looked like her then it flickered agin and it was gone
A few days after my father passed away on a July day I was sitting in his recliner. I felt a cold chill in front of me. I extended my arms to acknowledge its presence. Never experienced it again. Don't know if Dad was trying to let me know there is a afterlife or if he just wanted me to get off his recliner.
