As a general machinist, I am always mesmerized by the art of these turning projects. I stare at aluminum and steel all day and wish for as much color and art in my work as this demonstrates. Also, I watch these videos with 'epic film scores' music playing and it makes it even more mesmerizing.
Even with modern tools, this is extraordinary art and skill. Watching these videos I have come to understand the true uniqueness and value of this type of work.
I think this is one of the best (if not the best) woodturning resin rootball ever! You couldn't get any better choosing the colors. You are very talented and love watching your videos.👍❤👍!!!
Now that is absolutely stunning! I like the way the resin isn't just red it's got the fire in it the pinkish reds.Adds So much more interest with the beautiful wood. I'm a huge fan of resin and wood. My only negative besides this piece you and the other guy I watch. (I wish I knew of more lol) but you guys always just use solid colors of resin like blue green or red. I would love to see like pearlessence thrown in with one of those colors and or holographic glitter with one of those colors and the wood. That would be absolutely stunning too! Please consider taking your resin colors to the next level thanks in advance
I am a wood carver and I have sometimes messed around with resin, never thought of mixing the two. The finish vase reminds me of the patterns of Blue John stone and the vases produced from it. Thanks for posting the video, cheers.
I have literally sat for hours and watched you. It is very calming for me, and the things you make are just gorgeous!! I want one of each!! I wish!! LOL Don't ever stop!!
As for me, I believe that's THE MOST BEAUTIFUL vessel I've ever seen! Love the resin color with the warm hues of the wood. Just awesome! Who the hell would give this a thumbs down?
It’s just so cool when whatever you’re cutting turns so fast that it doesn’t look like it’s moving anymore. Like it’s frozen in time. I be hoping it happens each vid 😂
What I love about this piece is that it was beautiful before you polished it, in less than 5 minutes it went from beautiful to exquisite! It looks like it's on fire! Exquisite piece Andy! Bravo!!
My jaw just dropped when I saw the amazing art ( Tallies) you poses. My hat is off to you my friend. I’m speechless from the sheer beauty you have cultivated. My I know the cost and if I can even afford it . I would be honored to have in my home and show to everyone who walks in such beauty was created by your hands.
You are a True Artist and Visionary. I Love the Finished work on a piece of scrap. Beautiful doesn't even do it any justice, it is completely beyond Beautiful! Gorgeous work! Thank You for Sharing your Art Work with us all!
That's what I was going to say. It's beautiful. If I may be crass how much would you charge for that? I couldn't afford it, but it is a work of art and belongs in a museum.
I'm a 44yr old female and have never seen anything like this! Only little tidbits of vid, never from beginning to end. And after 4-5, I subscribed. Can't seem to get enough!
An absolutely marvelous piece of art Andy. For me the colour and the addition of mica powder exagerate the chatoyance after polishing immensely. It really make this piece of what most people would put in the fire, pop with brilliance. Thanks for posting and sharing as always, it's appreciated. Looking forward to your next adventure. Regards and best wishes. T.
When you made the resin, it reminded me of Ghostbusters II. I was waiting for something to jump out hahahaha. This is a very beautiful piece. It amazes me to how you can take nothing and turn it into something.
Unbelievable. I saw glowing roses, hell, lava, music, life and death. This is pure magic. I know this thing, it happens sometimes. You are doing something without knowing whether it will be good or bad and out of sudden simple ingridients mix up in right proportion and shape the ethernal masterpiece. I think this is God creating it with your hands, you just open the door for Him.
I think you're really, really clever! And this is such a beautiful shape... I see several owls in here, depending on the size of the rings and the angle of the view. Such a gorgeous rich colour complements the complexity of the grain. Other plainer woods would have been overwhelmed by the resin. This is a gorgeous piece, in design, execution, materials and finish. (In my humble opinion!) I'll be subscribing, and binge watching for the rest of the afternoon! Thanks for posting.
Damn fine vessel my friend. I loved watching the video as the chunk of wood changes shape, size and color. This is a very very nice peice of work, keep it up,. Thank you
I have a great idea for you. Use wasp hives inside resin as decoration for your wood-turning. Wasp hives are always spectacular to look at. There are several videos on RUclips on "wasp removal job" that will show you what wasp hives look like. Wasp hives are preferable to bee hives because bees use wax and wasp use wood pulp and their saliva to create a sort of dense cardboard. So wasp hives will preserve indefinitely inside resin. Also, wasp hives have bigger hexagon cells. They are nicer to look at that way. It does't really matter because people will think it's a bee hive. If you use wasp hives inside resin, you will have to inject the resin with a syringe in each hexagon cell in order to avoid bubbles. This idea of using wasp hives inside resin to decorate wood turning art has a huge number of variations. You can spray-paint the wasp hive to make them stand-out more and for variation. I can imagine a bright yellow or pink or grey or black or metallic-gold color for coloring the hives. You can have a different colors for different sections side-by-side. Imagine a bowl or vase with a big section missing (like 1/4 to 1/2 section missing). You can then use resin to recreate the missing part. Inside the resin, you can put bit sections of wasp hive of two colors (pink/grey or yellow/black, ...etc)). That would look great!
The pressurized capsule he uses gets rid of bubbles. The resin ends up infused throughout the wood, not just the cracks. Doing that to a wasp nest would be the same.
I love the whole process of wood turning and resin casting and all. But my favourite every single time I watch a video like this is when the oil/wax/shine is applied and the grain and structure of the wood is visible for the first time...
Stunningly Beautiful.. Good to know that even the most ugly dead looking hunk of nothing - something beautiful can come from it and a creative mind. Well done.
You turn a piece of wood into something magnificent. And so beautiful. And I wish it was sitting on my table. And I'm sure it is sitting on someone table or mantle.
Hola Christian, imposible saberlo salvo que lo diga Andy el va por el bosque y recolecta trozos de madera que ve que puede aprovechar y los transforma en obras de arte, Saludos
Hello Andy, it is now the second time that I watched this video, now I don't like red but this red that you mixed is stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. The complete piece is just awesome and fantastic. Thank you that you share it with us especially us that are not woodturners.
I could sit and veg out, watching your videos all day. So interesting to watch and do something no one else sees in a old piece of discarded wood.
As a general machinist, I am always mesmerized by the art of these turning projects. I stare at aluminum and steel all day and wish for as much color and art in my work as this demonstrates. Also, I watch these videos with 'epic film scores' music playing and it makes it even more mesmerizing.
You took a piece of wood that would normally be discarded and worked it into a thing of beauty. I'm astonished! I want one!
Unbelievable! Looks like owl eyes where the knots are and your choice of resin colors was absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing!
Сколько посмотрел видео с вашими работами и каждое видео потрясающе. Работы очень красивые и выполнены с душой. У мастера ЗОЛОТЫЕ РУКИ.
Интересно, сколько стоит такой горшочек?
Even with modern tools, this is extraordinary art and skill. Watching these videos I have come to understand the true uniqueness and value of this type of work.
Andy, I admire how you are able to evaluate your subject material and see something which no one else can. Well done, as always.
I can't believe what I have just witnessed. I'd be proud to have that displayed in my house. Well done!
I love the metallic red colour of the resin, which makes it look like lava flowing round the piece! ❤️
Could've added some yellow luminophor for even better effect, but yeh, it's pretty good as it is ^_^
I think this is one of the best (if not the best) woodturning resin rootball ever! You couldn't get any better choosing the colors. You are very talented and love watching your videos.👍❤👍!!!
Thanks Sherrie .. I've just made another which could be cooler ..you can check it out on my instagram 👍

That was, for lack of a better word, magical. Not only the transformation, but the beauty of end product.
What love about your videos, apart from the finished product, is you don’t feel the need to have music. Just the sound of the work is enough.
That is so unbelievably gorgeous. The blue resin is pretty but that red... stars above. 😍
What an absolutely beautiful bowl. I love the colors. It looks like its burning from the inside out. Simply amazing.
I just loved that like all the ones you make and what I really like is the colors you mix into them Andy.
I am a wood carver and I have sometimes messed around with resin, never thought of mixing the two. The finish vase reminds me of the patterns of Blue John stone and the vases produced from it. Thanks for posting the video, cheers.

All I can say is wow. The colours blended beautifully.
Once again I am amazed at your exceptional work. I could watch you forever

This vase is so beautiful, it simply took my breath away!
The red is glowing like Lava! Beautiful!!
As for me, I believe that's THE MOST BEAUTIFUL vessel I've ever seen! Love the resin color with the warm hues of the wood. Just awesome! Who the hell would give this a thumbs down?
An ass/donkey/completion
Or a soulless - see above.
This guy is really great!!
That is absolutely gorgeous. I love what looks like a parliament of owls sitting around it. Fantastic!
I was wondering who else saw the owls.
Of all the beautiful pieces you have created, this one remains my favorite! 💛
It’s just so cool when whatever you’re cutting turns so fast that it doesn’t look like it’s moving anymore. Like it’s frozen in time. I be hoping it happens each vid 😂

Невероятная красота!!! Смотрела не моргая! Как мне нравится такое ремесло, жаль, что у меня нет такого станочка, я бы все коряги облагородила!

I've had my eye on a scrub oak rootball. I've been waiting to harvest it until I had a good idea. Thanks for the good idea.
You are a True Artist and Visionary. I Love the Finished work on a piece of scrap. Beautiful doesn't even do it any justice, it is completely beyond Beautiful! Gorgeous work! Thank You for Sharing your Art Work with us all!
One simple word, Andy... STUNNING! Truly! That resin looks miles deep is places.

Andy, your an absolute artist, to make something so beautiful from a small dilapidated peace of tree. amazing..
A thing of beauty. The owls look out on the world from within the bowl. I just love the shape and the rich tones.
You are a true artisan. Kudos to your wife for letting you do this in the living room.

Amazing art work. Born as a real natural artist. You 're so hardworking an talented and have a good sense of mixing colour.
When you made the resin, it reminded me of Ghostbusters II. I was waiting for something to jump out hahahaha. This is a very beautiful piece. It amazes me to how you can take nothing and turn it into something.

Amazing color! Beautiful! I do the same but you are excellent...
Unbelievable. I saw glowing roses, hell, lava, music, life and death. This is pure magic. I know this thing, it happens sometimes. Owls are awesome ( and yes , I saw a couple of them , too )
It's GORGEOUS!..your skill is unsurpassed Andy. The colors are so cool. In my opinion, a bouquet of black roses would look magnificent in it.
Thanks 👍
Кто мог подумать, что в руках мастера трухлявый пенек преобразится в такую красоту! Молодец парень, золотые руки.
I love this vase. It is different than all the other wood turning vases.
Always amazed!!! Unreal talent and foresight into what something can be!!!! Thanks for the video
I love resin work. The swirling colors of this are absolutely beautiful.
Captivating. This is a random find for me but I could watch this all day.
Просто нет слов, как здорово! Любавался бы такой красатой и любовался👍👍👍
Damn fine vessel my friend. I loved watching the video as the chunk of wood changes shape, size and color. This is a very very nice peice of work, keep it up,. Thank you
WoW! Keep making your own colors. So much better than anything you can buy. 🤟🤟🤟

This might be the most harmonious mix of wood and epoxy that I have seen. Spectacular!
Now make another and send it to me! ;)
I love the whole process of wood turning and resin casting and all. But my favourite every single time I watch a video like this is when the oil/wax/shine is applied and the grain and structure of the wood is visible for the first time...
Same here, that's beautiful. So satisfying!
Watching those strings of resin spew all over is basically my favorite thing 😄
DANG THAT REALLY IS TALENT, BEAUTIFUL WORK. 👍👍
My jaw dropped down when I saw the end result. that is a very nice piece of art right there.
I would love to see the inside dash of my car like this. This makes me want my clutch to look like this.
Shifter knob?
