    Hi Ollie. I was a cab driver for many years my badge was 56466. I was a Kilburn boy and worked the Waitrose rank on Finchley Road for many years. I now live in the west of Ireland and don’t miss London at all. I do enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. You have a great way about you.

      Thank you. Yeah there was a few more jobs but the map had stopped recording after the last job, so just made sense to finish the video there. So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks as always for taking the time out to leave a comment 👍

    Hello Ollie great videos helping me massively while doing the knowledge. I do try and call some of the point to point by pausing the video call it. Then watch the way you go and see what you route you take. Got my written exam in june, fingers cross i will be there soon keep up the great videos they are a massive help to anyone doing the KOL. 👏

      Thanks for your comment Ben. If you haven’t already, get the BB done asap then take your time pointing. The written test is passable by just knowing your BB and guessing a few points. For the runs they’re not trying to catch you out, just bear in mind road junctions may have different names, eg York Circus maybe called Wandsworth Roundabout. It’s the same run just a different junction name. As long as it’s ‘legal’ that will be the run good luck 🍀

    Big thanks again Ollie, for taking us along with you👍 and please don't think any of your videos might be "boring" if they happen to be a bit longer-I will never tire of seeing how you nip around and any hold up/unexpected "can't turn left or right here" is swiftly sorted! Just brilliant stuff! Apologies if you've already answered this one, but was it always your goal from an early age to do The Knowledge and get your badge, or was it a later decision? As always, keep 'em coming! Michael

    • @ALondonCabbie
      @ALondonCabbie  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you Michael. I’m just going off the ‘average view duration’ and longer videos get hit more, so won’t show up on the RUclips home page if it’s too low. I said for ages I could remember all sorts of things and reckon I could do the knowledge. In the end I decided to give it a go and got hooked on the learning part pretty much from the 1st run. Some nights I would ride 10+ runs. 99% of my knowledge runs were done between midnight and 6am as I finished work at midnight all week. Thanks for taking the time out to comment and your continued support is really appreciated

    Another great Video Ollie, keep them coming mate. just a quick Q from me. Currently coming to the half way point of book 3 now. I am averaging 10-12 runs a week. Can you tell me once you learnt the BB what was your pointing like? I am doing this in a car at night (7pm-12pm mostly) so want to basically use my time as efficiently and I read you did the whole thing in just over 2 years so you must have hit the method bang on. As always thanks for the content

      Thanks for your kind comments. I did 99% of my KOL between midnight and 5am all on a scooter. I got my hand shake and had never drove through Hyde Park. If you do the WizAnn radius maps, get the biggest points and complete the radius as fast as possible

    Is this a set fare job ,or metered journey

    • @ALondonCabbie
      @ALondonCabbie  5 месяцев назад +1

      Metered fare. I would only do a fixed price job if it really suited me. I don’t think I’ve done more than 5 fixed fare jobs in the last 2 years
