I love how Sully sounds like he's consistently a drunken toddler. There's just something about him talking that makes me giggle every time he opens his mouth.
With a thumbnail that appears to depict Adam and Sully recoiling from Laurie in what appears to be a meltdown the likes of which Jon Gracie would approve of; I feel this episode of BGC is going to be something special to behold.
this makes sense, but I'm much more reading Adam recoiling immensely and pushing Sullivan even further and trying to hide behind our beloved Beau Brown
@@der.Schtefan Brook and Sully broke up in April. Also, what's going on with Adam? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything, I would really appreciate if someone could explain
I forgot this was the source of both "Clean Baby Sully" and "Adam and Sully: OTPs" Fun fact: Lovecraft was born with syphilis due his father's philandering, so he likely WAS already quite mad when he wrote "The Call of Cthulhu," where he describes the pronunciation as "unpronounceable by a human tongue." I think Dom's got it about as close as it can go.
Don’t get me wrong but Laurie is the most lovable person I’ve ever seen. There is something about him that just makes me think of a big loyal fluffy golden retriever.
1:37:39 That really got me. Tom was amazing this whole episode, but man did I lose it here. P.s. The irony in Adam advocating for a joint victory is incredible.
Surely I can’t be the only one who really wants to read / see Dom’s Lovecraft play. I was curious but weary and fully sold when he said it’s mostly about what a jackass he was and featured Edgar Allen Poe. Gimme gimme gimme.
"I know there's life after this round!" Yes, but say the wrong thing to Brook there, and it might be cut short! 😄 Honestly, some of these burns caused by the silent card hit harder than the entirety of the Mean Girls game! Who knew Tom would be such a proficient pyromancer? Super stoked for next week too!
This is one of THE BEST episodes you have done. I have returned to this video many times, it has all the best elements of NRB. Good gameplay, clear rule explanations, amazing bits and humor, ups and downs in the game, amazing cast and just super good time! I wanted to leave a comment in this older video 'cause its one of my favourite videos.
Sullivan may be the funniest man I've watched. Every episode of NRB he is in, he is the funniest, which is saying something as almost all of the players are entertaining.
Thank you all for filming yourselves playing fun social deduction games and being so entertaining and funny. I love your vids of playthroughs of social deduction games. All of you are great at playing them in a fun entertaining way! I wish I tried watching your content years ago.
I've recently discovered this amazing channel and i've been binge watching a bunch of videos, but god damn Sullivan has completely turned into my favourite character in this video, i love it
1:35:34 Watching Tom clench his fist and then straighten the cards. Then visibly wince when Sullivan immediately puts down a third card going the wrong way. I feel the OCD from here and can really commiserate!
Can I just say that I live for Tom’s OCD with the cards like I do? Love you Tom and every time someone put the card in the middle upside down he got an annoyed face😂
I found this channel recently and I want to say.... damn you guys for making me spend MORE money on games. I got Whitehall the other day and I'm scared what else I'll buy
I think I may have watched every episode of board game club and just want to say a massive well done and thank you to the NRB team. Easily the funniest and most informative board game channel I've watched and I've watched a fair few! Never fail to make me laugh and I am a miserable cow haha
I seem to remember back in the very first episode of Board Game Masterpieces, Adam told us about the lovely game of Cosmic Encounter. He also went on to talk a lot of shit on the entire concept of "joint victory." How curious that that particular tune seems to have changed here huh? Congrats on the victory Adam!
Whenever I'm having a bad day a video always appears to make it better! I need to visit this rock town I could use a few lol. Laurie actually startled me lol. Great job to one and all!
I do want to talk a little bit about probability, bc Brooke is actually correct. And so is everyone else. The chances of any particular person being a cultist is always 2/6 with 6 people, but the chances of the same outcome occurring consecutively does get smaller the more times it occurs. Like, the outcome of rolling a particular number on a dice is always 1/6, but the chances of rolling the same number twice in a row is 1/36.
One of these games IS for Adam! And it’s Don’t Mess With Brookthulhu. Has Sully been seen alive and unharmed in public recently? Also, I’m very much looking forward to Sheriff of Nottingham next week. Plus more LOTB.
Will absolutely be taking my copy next week to Airecon. I love introducing this to people at conventions as so often people have not come across it and it always goes down really well
I was just waiting for a; "Card says im not allowed to talk while i have it . . . doesnt say anything bout throwing you across the room!" *cue violence
this seems to be a skin of a game ive only ever seen on tabletop simulator called timebomb its flavored like a team defusing a bomb, looking for Successes amongst Duds, and avoiding the Boom! card, and the flashlight is a pair of clippers
Hehe I love the little sped up shot of them grabbing there cards it’s kinda funny watching them get dealt and all there tiny hands come in to grab them
The way Laurie screamed 'You absolute pit of fucking vipers' killed me. As much as that bit did his friendship with everyone at the table.
That was absolutely incredible
@@RepKyle95 And completely deserved!
The way Adam pretty much jumped on Sully😂

my god dam eyes were watering
I’ve never identified with anyone more than Tom silently fuming as cards are placed upside-down.
I love how Sully sounds like he's consistently a drunken toddler. There's just something about him talking that makes me giggle every time he opens his mouth.
Laurie unraveling after being silenced is one of the best moments. Watching everyone's reactions was priceless
I watched this game twice just for that.
To be fair that wasn't an unraveling, that was an anger explosion.
Evil Sully unravels later though
watching Tom's silent anger at people placing the cards upside down is a beautiful thing 1:35:35
Tom getting slightly pissed towards the end when people didn’t flip the cards right was hilarious. His little head nods
With a thumbnail that appears to depict Adam and Sully recoiling from Laurie in what appears to be a meltdown the likes of which Jon Gracie would approve of; I feel this episode of BGC is going to be something special to behold.
It's worth the wait to find out why Laurie had the meltdown.
Oh, Jon would unravel by Round Three of Game One and never recover. And it would be beautiful.
The funniest part is that Laurie could have talked, just not about his cards
this makes sense, but I'm much more reading Adam recoiling immensely and pushing Sullivan even further and trying to hide behind our beloved Beau Brown
I really trust Dom's Lovecraft expert credentials after he said not to trust Lovecraft about ANYTHING, very true
The Brooke's boyfriend Sully and Sully's boyfriend Adam energy is a total vibe
My partner loves it coz me an my best mate are the exact same so she shares in Brooke's pain
Polyamory is a thing.
It's a meme from parks and rec
Imagine someone from 100 years ago reading this
@@der.Schtefan Brook and Sully broke up in April. Also, what's going on with Adam? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything, I would really appreciate if someone could explain
Sully just cracks me up every time. "Good Round for the Good Team, Bad Round for the Bad Team" absolutely killed me 😂
Is that taken from a different routine/ video, or was it just from here?
That bit made me laugh way too hard! 😂

The rage when Laurie was released from the spell was so awesome.
Tom is legit my spirit animal, his humour is so dry and just great, and makes it even better when a shit joke cracks him
Tom's strategy for being evil is really sound. I'd like him to release a guidebook called "How to be evil" and disclose all of his strategies.
Don’t get me wrong but Laurie is the most lovable person I’ve ever seen. There is something about him that just makes me think of a big loyal fluffy golden retriever.
Like a British Elmo

Not sure how fluffy a bald golden retriever would be 😂
Shout out to Tom for turning all the discovered cards right side up. Appreciate it!
Watching Tom at the end being absolutely bothered by the cards being placed in the round reveal upside down was a nice treat at the end of the video!
I like how Tom said he wouldn’t share his strategy for playing evil and then immediately did.
Brooke saying R2D2 like “Hello fellow youths”
Then Laurie freaking out… rock town… perfection
As a geologist, I am intrigued by Sullivan Beau Brown's Rock Town
I love watching everyone on this show. The way they just play off/against each other is so heartwarming and hilarious.
seriously! makes me want to stick it in a hamster :P
I dont know why I was so tickled by: "Dom: I want that one- the far one please..." "Adam: that one's for me" (33:37) 🤣🤣
1:37:39 That really got me. Tom was amazing this whole episode, but man did I lose it here.
P.s. The irony in Adam advocating for a joint victory is incredible.
Somehow Dom and Adam shouting "It rhymed!" At the same time was the most hilarious thing ever to me 🤣

Brook was here? I see Laurie, Blair, Adam, Sully, Dom and Tom.

@@kurtwagner1915 this is how we revive the old Adam is Sully joke all over again
Never mind dissing trees, to annoy Tom all you need to do is put the card upside down. You could practically see his soul leaving his body!
Everyone claiming they have so many Cthulhu's 30 minutes in already took me out lmao
43:05 had me in stitches. Sully was hilarious

Laurie's outburst at 1:00:50 🤣🤣
Sullivan may be the funniest man I've watched. Every episode of NRB he is in, he is the funniest, which is saying something as almost all of the players are entertaining.
57:00 poor Laurie being taunted, but all he needed to do was wait quietly…
This episode was just phenomenal! So many secret Brooke jokes, moments of rage and simmering hatred, big surprises
57:10 hits different
Just hit that part and came to the comments to see who else caught that
The funny thing is that Laurie could talk, just not about his cards
The card literarily says "[...] you cannot communicate.", that means pretty clearly to me _no_ communication, full stop
Adam's taunt to silent Laurie hits way different now
Why??
39:15 No Dom, please get into the Derlethian stuff!
1:00:55 For *that* Laurie moment

Gotta say this was one of the best NRB episodes ever: everyone in red-hot form!
Idk how many times I’ve watched that outburst… but it is funnier every time, I’m a terrible person
This game is one of the best secret role games. No one is eliminated and there is no night! easy to play and quite fun!
I was CRYING once Laurie came back from being mute
Tom's evil strategy works really well. Can confirm
I don't think I've seen so much anger leave someone's body at such a rapid rate before.
Don't worry, if Cthulu comes after you, just call Mintberry Crunch. He'll rescue you.

Dom is quickly becoming my favourite part of NRB!
Great episode, kind of amazed that with all his rock talk we never got a "don't be fooled by the rocks that I got, I'm still Sully from the block!"

Watching Tom clench his fist and then straighten the cards.
Then visibly wince when Sullivan immediately puts down a third card going the wrong way.

I could honestly spend the whole time watching his reactions when people put down cards facing opposite directions,it is truly fascinating.
Laurie is fantastic. Love the absolute rage the man brings.
Can I just say that I live for Tom’s OCD with the cards like I do? Love you Tom and every time someone put the card in the middle upside down he got an annoyed face😂
I would love to see this replayed, especially with both Dom and Tom again

Props for Dom for dunking on August Derleth.
I have to respect the long-term booking towards Lori's eventual Heel Turn.
Words can’t express how much I love Sully.
The bits in this video in particular are brilliant.
I don't know if I have ASD but I have literally watched this upwards of fifteen times.

Someone should now make a boardgame named 'say nothing' and have NRB beta test it.
The "Rock Town" jingle was a welcome surprise xD
"say nothing if trees are shit" lmao.

Silent Laurie; greatness! Too funny
I wondered why I got a random letter from Tom in the mail today!! 🤣🤣 Wonderful content as always!!
That game title makes me think a game designer actually tried to mess with Cthulhu and now I’m worried for all our safety.
Tom’s explanation as to how he plays evil may be the most logical thing I’ve heard in this entire series
