Really killed it on this one man. Love it
First, beautifully done. Second, welcome to the world of through tangs! They are extremely addictive. You're going to hate here, lol!
No joke, I'm in love with them now lol.
Great build! I’ve been learning a lot from your channel. I saw a few new toys in the background. I think you should do a competition chopper next if it’s not too late
Great looking build! Thanks for sharing.
impeccable work. A beauty. Thanks for showing us. A greeting from Spain
Thank you very much!
Beautiful knife 🔪 man nice job 👏
Thank you 👍
Very beautiful seax and The handle pops out.
Thank you Tomas!
I have never seen the small belt sander mounted like that , going to use that , thanks for your videos.
Heck yeah!
Absolutely stunning nice job man
Thank you Craig!
Awesome amount of work. Love the knife (sword)! ❤ 🔥
Thank you, it was a ton of work lol.
I respect that you forged to 85-90% finished. I would have loved to see you go a little farther primitive and use files and hand stones to finish it, but hey can't all do things how I do. I keep it all by hand only using a grinder if I absolutely have to (like material can't handle or is to hard for hand methods). I don't use power hammers or presses. yes I do mosaics, pattern welded, and canister using a hammer and anvil. yes it is way more difficult, but our ancestors did it that way and I do this in there honor. I wish someone would honor them on youtube, I don't have the equipment to video and edit to be able to put it on youtube or I would. again I respect you did forge 85-90%, and thank you for showing proper method for doing so. wonderful blade.
Nice job. Looks really good.
Thanks Jim!
Legit man!
Have you done a "blacksmith knife" yet? Might go well with the series..
Thanks! That sure would go great with this series.
Beautiful and skilled blade
Thank you Chip!
Just an awesome sax. Amazing job! Loving this forge series, learning a lot.
Thanks Jeff!
Saludos y bendiciones amigo me gusta mirar tú trabajo artesanal
Awesome build man. I just started one my self yesterday
Love it, nice job. You have inspired me to take a piece of W2 I have to forge into a short sword this weekend. That thing is really cool.
Thank you Ed, looking forward to seeing what you end up making.
Love it
your system is good in getting the banana out as long as you are able to thin that top down to make it go back. I assume it was around 3/16 thick so you had enough to play with. Really like the outcome. Playing with a large file doing the same thing but got belayed with other work :)
I'm working on one myself.
Heck yeah!
Лайк за ручную ковку!
Looks great as always….I think you better ask Santa for a power hammer and/or a press before you get carpal tunnel!
Thank you Jason! Yeah, I've been asking Santa for one lol.
this was my suggestion from the last video! nice blade man ive made some of these too. its my favourite blade style.
Yup! I was like, "you know what... I'm gonna do that" lol. Great idea.
What a wicked blade! It really came out beautifully. The seax is one of my favorite blades, because Vikings!
Amazing work! Beautiful knife! It’s hard not to love a seax! Have you ever made an integral hatchet or tomahawk? Just a couple ideas
Thanks! I haven't yet, but I will be.
That’s crazy man 😂what a hammering session 💪 you did a great job 🙏 beautiful work 🍀🍀🍀 perfect
Thank you Klaus!
Oh that is a really major amount of work. Great to see you moving into that type of handle construction too, its more or less perfect in terms of the fit up and I'm genuinely impressed!
Thanks Kris, it was definitely a lot of work lol. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
L I K E 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 ❤🧡 💛🧡❤ 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
really clean forging, not the easiest blade to forge as I know from experience of doing a couple myself, looks a simple shape but it really isn't as it seems lol, should try a broken back next time with the reverse distal taper from forging the tip etc, that will make you think some, but then this one has come out really well, congrats
Thank you Andy, I was thinking about doing a broken back in a few weeks.
@@theriversexperience9383 go for it, a well forged and shaped broken back is a thing of beauty
Would love to see a 3 Tuesday build of a Drop point sdinner finished up to say Drop point sdinner finished up to say , 2000 grit
You're killin it with this series, man. The through-tang with the caps turned out awesome!
As for what next... I know you just did one recently, but you could always try forging a kukri style knife. I loved that shape.
Thank you Cory!
Can we take a minute to admire the donkey Kong sized balls this man has.....
5 MIN EPOXY!
For those who maybe unaware, 5 min epoxy doesn't mean you have 5 min to work... it means it's unworkable in 5 min lol
You have like 2 ish min before it starts stiffening up.
To do that on a handle you better be SURE your fit up is perfect... AND you can clean up the joints in like 3 min 😳😬🤣.
Great work bro.
🤣🤣 thanks man! Yeah, it was a little hectic luckily it was like 40° outside and not 100°.
Un-banana the banana lol. Big fan of the seax and it’s variations this is beautiful. Finishing up my 1st knife now, a little edc seax. Where do you get that wood from? I think you mentioned it before but I don’t remember. It just sets off the build.
Thank you Victor 😃. I get my wood from Knife-wood.com. Good luck on your knife!
@@theriversexperience9383 awesome thank you!
Good hammer workout. I find it's more fun but just cuts of new steel is easier faster and pays the bills if I was charging for my hobby
J L P Services a lady BlackSmith someone who knows how to move steel
Thanks I enjoy this Sir.
Thanks John, it was definitely a workout lol.
Man that thing is freak'n 100% bad A$$
now is that handle from Oleg?
Thank you Tim! Yup, from a long time ago though.
You did a good job over all .. Everyone is different but I just don't like the look of "brute de forge" ..
