I mostly watch knife makers at the moment, and found your channel through the chisel restoration video, so finding this was a nice surprise. Holly made a beautiful blade, and watching her sand the spine and choil shows that she takes care to ensure that it's actually comfortable to use, too. Seeing the effort that goes in to making what is honestly also one of the most beautiful knife handles I've seen gave me a new appreciation for what is possible in the craft, and for the cost involved in high end knives with meticulous woodwork.
Brilliant collab and end product!
Those shops you're working in are a dream for any maker!! Having the right tools just makes the creative process so much more efficient. Great knife!
They didn't even know what the guillotine was... Two human brains and between them decided to cut the metal up with a pair of scissors... Are these two female?
If Holly gets on YT I can promise at least 1 subscriber. You ladies did an awesome job. Big congratulations to you both as individuals and as a team.

I'd definitely subscribe. She's amazing
Nice pattern! It looks more organic and natural than other damascus seen on RUclips. It looks more like wood grain, stone or something else. Geometric patterning, like for example the works of Kyle Royer, can of course look more "splendid" or "luxurious", but this creates an ancient and mysterious feel to it that I like. It is like it has a soul.
I'd love to see a collab with Mary Spender, i reckon she would absolutely love your guitars
Yasss!
I need to see this collab!

Or with Ali Spagnola
I think this is the only knife-making video where the handle was formed using proper woodworking tools and skills. Beautiful handle, beautiful knife!
That is some super excellent craftsmanship on building that, or should I say, craftswomanship! I'll buy one! I make tools for rebuilding pianos, but none are quite so finished as these. Great job ladies!!!
This is still one of the best things ever. You ladies both did a great job and I'll be watching this more than once.
It was such a pleasure watching you two artists put this project together. Great job, both of you.
Wow really impressed. It's so nice to see women interested in knife making, blacksmithing, woodworking etc.
You guys did a fantastic job on that knife.
She did a wonderful job on the blade and you did a beautiful job in that handle and they both came together wonderfully.
Really impressed.
Very cool. As a musical instrument maker, who also makes lots of his own tools, I applaud the workswomanship here. What a great tool you've created.
cheers from sunny Vienna, Scott
I've seen a lot of similar videos but as a woodworker I never quite understand what is going on with the metalworking side of things. I liked how the process was explained in this video and learned a ton from it. Also as a photography nerd I have to say the camera work and editing is quite nice.
I met Holly in Atlanta she is extremely talented and makes beautiful knives! Well done both of you!
💓 was lovely to meet you!
I'm not sure which is prettier, that amazing knife, or the two hard working & creative women who brought it to life. (Who am I kidding, it's the ladies, of course!) Well done Holly & Daisy.
I'm so stoked to see female makers on youtube thriving! I want my daughter to know she can take on a trade if she chooses and that there is no gender to craftmanship!
I was enjoying it too until she went woke. Craftswomanship?
@@michaelairheart6921so... ur telling me u would rather be a sexist prick n call em craftsmen even tho their plumbing is all wrong for the term? Gotcha
@@michaelairheart6921 cry about it
I liked that word ! You can always call a male nurse "midhusband", if he helps to deliver a baby 😉
@@michaelairheart6921 I am really wondering how hard life must be, seeing and searching for "woke" everywhere...seems to be the biggest problem of our time.
Utterly stunning, and a perfect way of recycling dead strings, love it
The contrast of nickel and steel is soo beautiful!
You've created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. GREAT WORK!
This turned out such a nice piece. It's great to see two very talented people create something together. Thank you for sharing the process with us and I hope your shop move has gone smoothly. 🙂
Wow! What a beautiful and unique piece of art! This is quite a process and a lot of work is involved. Thanks for sharing, Daisy and Holly!
Knife making is an interesting subject, but you also make it even more interesting.
What a breath of fresh air to find this great English site.. This is how it should be done.
One of the nicest Damascus I have seen here. Excellent work Holly!
What an amazing project, thank you and Holly very much for showing us the whole process!
the strong, sapphic, craftswoman vibes emanating from this video are unmatched i feel like my skin is clearer and my heart is fuller
lol what a creeper comment...
Kudos to you for succeeding in preserving the wound string textures without having fused them entirely! Very impressive! As was your woodworking skills! Very creative and very inspirational for the rest of us watching your processes. Thank you!
You two are BOSSES! Wonderful work, and a very enjoyable video.
You are an amazing filmmaker! Your closeups and selective focus are so cool! Loved this video. Oh... and the knife is AMAZING. Kudos.
Kudos is spelled with a K.
Such a wonderful thing to see true artisan workmanship in areas that are sadly disappearing in many parts of the world. An excellent illustration of why it is worth it to pay extra for a handmade knife rather than the mass produced offerings readily available.
Fantastic work by both of you and what an amazing knife! Also every aspect of the video is superb! Thanks for sharing! ❤
You girls are so real, you rock ! The knife turned out amazing, nice work
That wasn't at all what I expected. Fascinating project
Wow. That was amazing. Such a beautiful knife. Great to see what careful work goes into making something like that.
Congrats on a brilliant project!
Great job on the handle and the knife Daisy & Holly :) that looks great :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
Holy hell that's a beautiful knife, i really have no idea why i ignored this video so far, nice job!
I was expecting a Bushcraft knife, but hey... kitchen knives are cool too 😁 Beautiful craftwomanship. Thanks for sharing.
Both parts of this knife making process were very entertaining and interesting. Good work!
Watched these originally. It was good to watch them again.
Very nice! I wasn't sure I liked the blade shape at first, but when it was finished with the handle it was fabulous. The pattern turned out really differently than I expected too. Thanks!
I've seen a lot of blacksmithing and woodworking and knifemaking videos, but this was fresh and unique. I think I'll be sticking around. Such a cool process and product!
i was not in any way impressed. feels like i got everything explained to me like a child being lectured by low key lesbian feminists.
ffs she actually said "craftswomanship" it doesnt get much more cringe. never heard anyone but cringe feminists talk like that.
@@ElectricalExistence You should have a big cry, you'll feel better afterwards.
I guess RUclips knows I've been watching Forged in Fire on TV and brought me here. What a beautiful knife. Love the work you did!
How about a collab with Alec Steele? I think he's back in the UK. It would be awesome to see you build a wood-steel piece like a big axe. Maybe a guitar string damascus axe with a nice handle?
You both did a great job. Great concept and execution. Looks like she ground the knife pretty thin which is great to see and it should be a hell of a slicer. Props to both of you.
Beautiful one of a kind.
Very high-quality editing.
Fabulous work - such craftsmanship from you both 😊
Often watching this type of vid, I am impressed by the ornate handle solutions people make. Yours is actually gorgeous because of it's simplicity. Not even rivits to break the lines. Very well done.
holy god, you guys did an amazing job on this. absolutely fantastic work, and the video work was a real pleasure.
What a beautiful collaboration! Well done!!!!
Absolutely fantastic, brilliant production work too!
Enthralling and charming video, thank you
Such a cool video! What an awesome collaboration. Hope to see more in the future!
What a gorgeous knife. Beautiful work!
Wow! That's an amazing, beautiful knife! Well done both of you!
The proportions of the knife and handle are excellent. A splendid collab, great to see the cross-influences of your respective making. I would have tried to weave the wires into plaits and sinnets as I'm a basketmaker as well as a metal-botherer.
Beautiful work by both artists, well done!
The project was well done by both of you and the video production is first rate. You'll have millions
of Subs well before you're done here, another RUclips sensation! Cheers
the videography on this video is just absolutly amazing! the exact same goes to the editing. i love everything about this video down to the music and the quack quack quack subtitles of the workers in the background
Wow, that looks incredibly awesome. Really unique materials equals a astonishing one of a kind knife. So cool.
I´ve been working with guitars all my life, but only with the wood - working with metal really is another world. Wow - so much power and beauty!
great job! the simplicity of the handle is magnificent!
Glad this crossed my screen. I love knifework and have always wanted to get into forging steel...
Gorgeous work!!!! And sharp!! :)
A very beautiful knife and the Prettiest Craftwoman on youtube ❤❤
This is indeed a very nice piece. Thank you for sharing this!
This is as good as any Television show on cable TV! Very entertaining thank you.
Beautifully filmed and edited as well as being original and captivating. Excellent as always.
What an amazing video, incredible storytelling and an awesome knife at the end 🎉👏
I never ever ever tire of seeing crafts people so their thing. Both the blade and handle came out perfectly
I really liked that you used so much hand tools instead of loud power tools. beautiful blade and handle. excellent work.
Not to disregard the BEAUTIFUL Chef’s knife you have built, everything about the idea, materials used, craftsmanship and collaboration was off the proverbial charts! And I would like to add my name to your list of fans who would like to see another collaboration between you and Holly! In fact, I have an Idea…
As a luthier, you employ a variety of cutting tools for various purposes… Perhaps a chisel, or a blade for a planer, made of guitar strings, tuning hardware, etc, used to build an instrument of Holly’s choosing?
Truly harmonious work Ladies! One day I hope to be able to afford one of your guitars, Daisy…
Absolutely wonderful l, lovely both of your craftsmanship
That's beautiful, well done to you both.
that is a tiny tiny edge. great video editing. Holly seems like a badass🥰
Such an interesting project, hope to see more collabs like this in the future!
I don't say awesome unless something is truly awesome, which the knife and the project to make it are. Hats off.
Well, after YT trying to force me to watch this video for weeks, I finally caved in. And was pleasantly surprised. Cool project, well executed.
I do love to watch a professional knife maker work!
Great build and video! Keep up the amazing work!
Wow, now that's a knife! Its totally unique and great to use in the kitchen. A lot of skill and science goes into the manufacture - really interesting.
Breathtaking. You made me feel actual feels.
I'm sorry such a master crafted knife deserves a name the lends towards it's origin story forged in the fires. God it needs a name.
GFBSA.... What an absolute pleasure to watch the birth of something beautiful at the hands of two Master Crafts Ladies. Great job girls. 😁
As an amateur knife smith myself, I'm not nearly at that level but it helps to recognize the amount of talent put you into making that, nicely done
Teamwork…great job ladies!!!👏👏👏
i cant decide what i love the most... the end result of that absolute art piece of a knife or the video itself, which shines as hell with the photography direction, immersive sound and cool voice over. amazing work
Jolly good, ladies! A very nice piece of work, under every aspect... 👍❤
I enjoyed watching the forging, been doing it for a few decades myself. I was glad to see you use Koa for the handle, I spent seven years in Hawaii, used a good bit of Koa for a number of projects, it really is a great wood to work with, nice color and very nice grain patterns. Your knife turned out very nice indeed!
Great collaboration. Your skills really compimented eachother. Keep it up!
Enjoyable video - very professional on all levels.
I'm both a former guitar builder and before that, former metalworker. This is the best.
That is sooo cool. Thanks for the great video.
Incredible work and such a creative idea!
That is a stunning piece of work. It's amazing to see professional artists at work, not just "Content" creators
Really love this.. Amazing cover! Must be great to be able to make and play your own amazing guitars. Love the channel.. 👍
Plenty of Forged in Fire vibes--nicely done!
You know what you are doing. That knife is beautiful!
OMG - what a beautiful knife and handle. Thank you for sharing this
Thanks so much!!!
What a cool idea. Now I need a forge to make use of all my old guitar strings lol. Great Video!!
Simply a beautiful work.
What a beautiful knife - awesome work!
What an interesting video of two very talented and patient young women . As I watched this I thought how I might be tempted to cut corners as opposed to the care and attention you both took doing your part. Holly should definitely consider a RUclips channel to allow us to watch her create things I couldn't even dream of
