So good to see Will again. I didn't like him at first. Felt like an intruder on Alec's channel. Then I grew to love how well they worked together and covered each other's weaknesses. Now it doesn't feel the same without Will.

@@DH-xw6jp Alec loves shooting guns and is pretty proficient with them, and he is a pillar of the blacksmiths on YT along with the Man at Arms guys. So I think it is a fair complement and comparison when Matt is also a pillar in the gun community along with FPS Russia (Kyle).
man.... it's going to suck never seeing this shop again, having been watching for years now, and becoming a blacksmith myself, this shop is so well set up, the equipment is so nice, it's a sad day

Man, this brings back to many memories of the early Montana days, Will and Alec working together on different projects, seeing the shop come together and the company being built. Back then, it was like those days would never end!

They've revised the knife laws here in Pennsylvania pretty much any blade is now legal including balisongs, gravity knives, daggers, and other things that were previously on a restricted list. This opens up a whole new world for someone like myself that would like to get into blacksmithing and knife making.
The steele shelter will always be one of my favorite iterations of your channel but hell I enjoyed the beginning with you learning and explaining it to us. Thank you for all the years of content

Man, I really hope you visit often. Seeing you 2 together is always fun. Im saddened you cant come back and continue on your American dream. But you did accomplish a lot on the few years you were here. You now have life long friends, awesome stories to tell and experiences you've learned from. The complicated motor doors breaking 3 days in being solved by just adding a bent piece of round as a handle is just perfect.
This is the most fitting way for Alec to kick off leaving is a last minute frantic build with Will.

@@weasle2904 from what he said in the last video due to a number of factors like the business issues it was just better for him to go back to the uk. a lot of stuff behind the scenes we don't know of probably played a major role but that's not for us to delve into. the American dream doesn't work out for everyone but either way lets cherish the time he had in America and look forward into whatever he has planned next
Alec comes by for a single day visit and STILL manages to get Will to do all his grinding and sanding. I'm telling you, that's some kind of devious power at work.
Really loved seeing the two of you collaborate again. Hopefully it can happen again in the future. Keep your mind positive Alec. We all love you.

I started as a blacksmith a few years back .. and I gotta say if it wasnt for alac I probably wouldn't be a blacksmith today .. alac ..you inspired me to become a blacksmith. I really hope you don't give up on this dream, because you inspired me to pursue my dream.

Alec, I know you are still keeping up with your blacksmthing journey but you have inspired me since I have Ben young enough for my dad to have to wait for me to quit forging at our farm and while I have enjoyed your time i the USA, keep working and doing what you do and inspiring people especially young blacksmiths… my fits forge was a haridryer set to cool, a peice of pipe, and a charcoal forge. I used a railroad flat As an anvil after mine got stolen but I’ve kept going. I love your videos and they inspire us all no matter how much or how little equipment you have
This brings back wonderful memories! It´s a little shame that the damascus handles did not work. I really hope you will do something like this back in the UK again. It was a beautyful piece od metal and I still remember how you made it.

nah. I think they would have done a better job if they had more time and the blade is still made from Alec's Damascus. IMO

Yes!!! I’ve always loved these. Since being a kid and seeing them in karate movies. I few years back I bought a butterfly style bottle opener. I learned all the flip tricks but never practiced with a real one!!
I love seeing you guys work with each other. Been here for a long time (even before chef Mic died) I hope you still get to do some projects in the future.

This is also a sad moment for the channel, from watching Alec move to the US, rent an apartment, buy his F150, build a bed, go to Ace hardware (a lot) and just be there enjoying the scenery.
As someone who loved the US and did live there my heart aches for Alec.
I am disappointed we didn't get to see Will hand sanding. We all know how much he loves doing that.
