When I started this project I didn't believe I would be able to finish it. I wanted a fishing camp and thought this looked so fantastic I would give it a try, figuring at some point I would reach a place I couldn't understand or wouldn't work in my space but then I planned to wing it and count the experience good. I completed it!! Replicated the whole build, totally stable and looks amazing. Now I'm adapting the decking to my terrain and decorating the interior. Too much fun, thanks! Missing from the video: Nights, storms, raids, auto saves and falling off the roof... lol.
@@marceloarnas Unfortunately yes... however if you leave the area very quickly when it starts to rain your exposed wood won't turn grey because it only rains on you. Run away and take the rain with you, it's a pain to do but it works. I know there has been a lot of complaints, so maybe the Dev's will implement some system where we can varnish wood we would like to remain in good condition. I haven't tried mods yet, but I saw there is one that repairs buildings with a few clicks, so maybe that's also an option for you.
Awesome build! I love all the layers. Thanks for not using the flight cheat as well, it helps being able to see how you position yourself for each placement, and adds entertainment.
Lovely work, i was able to use these blueprints and build one of my own. My only downfall was that i still can't get those double wooden borders along the front and back roof. That second slanted row of boards just doesn't want to position correctly. Other than that, i was able to follow along rather well! Very pleased with your build. Was fun making it. On the plus side, i got attacked 3 times by surtlings er whatever those fire guys names are...and they dropped enough cores for me to build my portals to and from the dock without me having to travel to get them. Subbed!

great Video, really nice Build and very helpful camera positioning, re-positioning and measurement animations - I can tell that effort went into making these Videos, you got a sub!
Very nice house, pal, although I'd have prefered more guidance through the building process. Just some subtitles about what you are doing, especially those time when the camera is quite far away or when your character is obstructed. however, very nice house and very good video. I rebuild it right away, having the luck to fins a spot with almost exactely the same landscape features.
Very nice. I stopped playing as my builds were kind of ugly, and I didn't really see much of an end-game. Such a great game at the start though, and sailing out for the first time is a hoot. I hear they are expanding the game though.
Camera work and editing are on point ! Really good job :) as for the building, excellent work too ! I may give it a shot soon ! Here's my sub and like sir :)
Any chance you could show us the structural color of the various components of the frame? I love these types of buildings but always seem to worry once I start seeing orange and red. I love your builds!!
yOuNeEeDtOfLaTtEnThEgROuND - thumbs up from me for actually not doing what everyone tries to tell you to do but actually living with the given ground. Especially with small to medium builds, living off poles is perfectly fine indeed and rather underused concept.
Hey sorry I have a dumb question, I’m new to the game and just built this house by this guide, how am I meant to now set up a fire without the ground to set a bed down?
To be fair, anything built on the water needs to be elevated or the waves will crash over the floorboards. Flattening (elevating) the ground doesn't help either, so this is the "correct" method for building on the water.
Hey! Thanks for the comment! There are important points to pay attention to: 1. All beams touching the ground must be blue color (maximum stability). 2. In the center of the building there is a metal core (metall beam), it must be built from the ground to the very top. P.S. In the next video, we will devote more time to this moment.
I love this^^ esp. The coloured measuremens and that you have the dock in many different levels that looks really good :) Out of curiosity do you plan your build before you start or is it something that develops as you go? I'm trying to figure out how to build cool houses myself - still stuck at making "square with roof" but recreating vids like this has helped a lot. Thank you for a great build and very relaxing video ^^
Hello! Thanks for the comment! We plan each building in advance, the only thing that can change is the final placement of the items. Sometimes we place the blocks incorrectly, it definitely needs to get rid of. Enjoy!
Hey man, awesome build but can you explain the roof outline at 4:00? I build it like how it’s shown but it keeps toppling over on me I’m not sure what I’m missing
Hi! Wonderful build. Trying to build the exact same house but having trouble with stopping the tall chimney from crashing due to weight endurance. Switched to iron post ground up but still didn’t work. Could u help me out?
@Storm Breaker I ran into the same problem, I followed and placed iron beams down through the house and down below the house... still the top beams were red, so I dug into the ground a bit and saw the iron beam wasn't actually touching the ground so it wasn't anchored. I placed a final iron beam under it and then they were green all the way to the top. Hope this helps.
@@nex3cute772 My site was different than BROOVERs so I started by making a seawall and flattening the area where the house would sit. It was supported by core wood posts and was raised off the ground, but there wasn't a lot of work room under the house in my situation. The work angles were weird and it was hard to see what was going on. So to solve my problem, I dug out the area beneath the iron post, snapped another iron post beneath it and raised the ground back to cover it about 90%. At that point it all became stable and I could finish the tower. Everyone's site would probably be different so the important thing would be just to get the iron posts supporting the tower all the way down until they were anchored into the ground.
Wrong, rain will only drop it to 50% durability no matter what. Won't break anything. As long as you build some defenses so creatures can't get to you (I raise a rock wall with a teleporter on the other side where you have to jump across a moat)
How much planning in advance does it take? And how much trial and error beforehand when you start building by the water to realize how high to start off at in the first place?
inspiring, Maybe someday I'll stop living in barns, and build something like this... :D By the way, I would love to know what music is this, It's great for the background when working.
I had the same issue. I had to add core wood poles for the overhanging roof. I don't have iron supports yet so the tower is going to have to be incomplete for me now.
A lot of nice houses and bases in Valheim but they don't take in consideration that you have to protect them from enemies, and after that they become in something not so great...
