2015 - "Fox is Down" Animatic
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 фев 2015
- An old practice scene for A Fox in Space. It's being done more traditionally to the SNES/N64 games, while keeping most of the attitude and wit of the first incarnation.
This scene would've taken place shortly after Star Wolf's defeat on Fortuna. Fox has been ambushed by a squad of Venomian soldiers, temporarily fronted by Wolf O'Donnell.
I love Wolf's voice.
same here
I think the general opinion of wolf in this series is the same. Easily a show stealer.
ikr it's so...hot
Anna Meineke ikr
Shut you mouths!
I love the complicated relationship between fox and wolf.
Cozy complex gay furries
yes i want them gaayyyyy
I think that is the kind of relationship of most rivals.
*_Stop reminding me I'm gay thank you._*
It's such a great call back to Star Fox Assault.
I fucking love how he gives the basic information of a P.O.W. that shit sells it for me.
I like the way the first episode of A Fox In Space is written in comparison to this. It takes itself more mature even though there's violence and a swear word around the corner each second.
"there's NO violence and..."* ?
Honestly, I prefer the lack of swears just because of how much it’s used in other shows.
idk wtf i was talking about w this comment, i was way younger. keep up the good work with a fox in space, man. it's always a pleasure to see the updates. this shit requires so much effort, don't listen to a word i said 5 years ago LOL
As a Starfox fan, I'm so speechless! I've always wanted a Starfox series that focuses on the story and character development! Who ever is making this a reality, from the bottom of my heart...Thank you and keep up the good work!
So true.
Matthew is always a dream
What'd you think of the first episode?
Curious Lillian, do you know about the Star Fox comics published in Nintendo Power? Not sure how long the series is, but you might something you like.
Cant be the only one who feels bad for the third mercanary. Being the way he is portrayed in your other videos
+RolliePollieOllie This was just an experiment for the voice mixing/recording software I was setting up a template for. This bit of story never happens in the actual cartoon.
@@AFoxinSpace When are you going to start with the episodes?🤔
Yeah, I really liked that guy in episode one. I’d hate to see that happen to him.
You guys are great writers.
Amiibo Charles Its really one guy.
That voice for Wolf defines villainy, i love it!
HOLY SHIT THOUGHT THIS WAS CANCELLED!!
+2DXX Same here!
I like how wolf is much more positive in the previous videos like In the elevator or the one about Robotic Legs but then in this he's chaotic-neutral. I love it so much omg
Wolf makes brutal the new sexy. This Fox in Space project is fantastic. Nostalgia turned R rated badass-ness, thank you.
Weyy nooooooo😭👌
this gritty style and free use of expletives does wonders for these characters
I definitely prefer the final version of this scene, I like Wolf as being more relaxed and tuned down as opposed to trigger Happy.
However,
I _love_ thé bit of Fox quoting his rank and serial number and Wolf just calling him cute.
Maybe I just like how often wolf calls Fox cute in this series.
What can I say? I’m a woman of weakness
This would be a likeley scenario if Star Fox was rated M
I'm personally glad the final product has much less swearing.
NekoBoyOfficial same here!
NekoBoyOfficial an overuse of cussing can dilute maturity for sure
and it's less edgy and nuanced. The way they bent the rules to kidnap Fox is top tier worldbuilding.
@@SamTheCrazyOne One thing I loved best about A Fox in Space is the very small details. It's one of the better reasons to rewatch former episodes.
I watched this yesterday and had this scene playing in my head through my whole shift. Wowie this is beyond amazing!
It's awesome seeing how this show developed and changed. Like, the real episodes kept the simply great visuals, voice direction and writing, but cut the needlessly edgy stuff.
The whole project is better for it, and it's one of the coolest things ever
Is Fox's serial number the date of the original game's release?
Good observation, it is I think
Actually, I just looked it up and the release date of the original game was April 27th, 1997. Not March 1st, 1993(M/D/Y) or January 3rd, 1993(D/M/Y), depending on how you want to try and assume the number. I do wish it was a neat little easter egg like that, though, that would have been super cool.
+Logan Colp Mmm... FYI: I can remember playing it when it was released on SNES March 26, 1993. Japanese release date was February 21, 1993.
That's it! North American release date for the original SNES title.
@@orangejjay was just about to ask
The innuendos. Perfect.
i only played Star Fox like twice at the arcade but never thought i'd see the day for that to resurface online. plus the production of this animation is amazing. i've been binging the entire youtube channel. great work
Just love wolf's expression and pose when he says 'You are the Great Fox McCloud"
Always gotta love the darker concept alts for shows.
I know the first episode didn't call for this, but I really hope we get to see Wolf in this mental state by the end of the show.
Honestly glad it's not how it all went down and how the real thing learned much harder into the comedy angle.
I don't see why everybody's dissing the more mature tone and harsh language. It's like they can't stand it. Wish they had more of this kind of stuff in the finished episodes.
Kenny Stiles because since the original Star Fox games were E10, this comes off as contradictory to the original work and is way too edgy for it’s own good
you dont need that much swearing to send the message. It can be done in more clever ways, with swearing being "saved" for better ocassions.
Counterpoint: people don't get that hostile if they're just doing their job (which this is for Wolf). Coming off that aggro that fast makes him look less cool in contrast to the wannabe smooth talker you see in the final product.
@@bigmouthprick5852yeah ironically less swearing makes it more grisly
This is incredible. Great job. I can't get over how great this is.
I wish this was in the real episode.
Seeing Wolf just kill three guys out of nowhere was not pleasant.
to be honest this has like this western spaghetti like story or movie. i still love it
i loved every second of this
I'm glad you made wolf less violent and toned him down
As much as I like the drama of Andross' goons getting axed regardless of who gets blamed (i.e. Fox), Wolf's smarter than letting Andross have even a smidge of doubt about the whole ordeal.
He just like guardian of the galaxy , the yondu in there
Was honestly shocked when wolf turned on his own men! This and all of the 1 minute videos you pump out every couple of months are just amazing.
Now this is a What If? episode xD, love it!
Holy shit, I wasn’t expecting that from Wolf.
Imagine if Nintendo was actually consumer-friendly with the fans and actually hired people like this.
Dedicated fans who actually give a sh_t about the series unlike Nintendo these days.
It's so good man
Fuck, I hope you can making more of these, they're fucking awesome
1:20 WOLF POG
sooo this is basically an alternative version of the intro from episode 1 where O'Donnell saves McCloud from being captured.
if im not wrong.
this is very different from the calm attitude Wolf has in the clips you have out.
I'm still gonna ship them tho
Are they Chinese toys?
No?
+Cody Danny wat
i'm glad they toned down wolf a bit.
How has it taken me so long to see this?
Man I didn't like his voice first time I heard it, but by the time I watched this the second time I decided that this is gunna be the best thing xD
Dude, 8 years already holy shit!
How did I not see this channel before? Great stuff man.
This entire story of Wolf is so true I love it.
Even after seeing ep 2, wow! I'm stunned!
Ow, the edge. I'm glad you changed it.
WOW wolf was fucking brutal in this version.
it would be so cool if there was an alternate timeline where this happened and changed the whole story
Ikr? I like this more serious and violent tone that this gives compared to the actual series' comedic direction. I wonder if Matthew Gafford ever considered this incarnation of the series, Or possibly making it a separate project (Webcomic maybe?).
If nothing else, Maybe someone else could pick up the idea of a serious Star Fox fan-series. Although we couldn't be sure if it'd have the same feel as what Matt came up with here.
Zieekel The actual series is anything but comedic in direction.
It has good humor but it still is a serious show.
Zieekel Your totally misunderstanding, the series will be this serious in parts, it just hasn't gotten to crazy yet because only one episode is out so far.
Omfg. You guys are BRILLIANT
I love wolf's character in this
1:20 Wolf just striking a straight-up Jojo pose
Your progress since this has been amazing
Some possible Fridge Brilliance: Wolf intentionally shoots the obvious rookie of the group last, because he knew he'd take the longest to react to Wolf's turncoat rampage.
I got real StarCraft vibes from the voices and sounds
Wow this is ENTIRELY different from the final. I almost like this one better
Would love to see you animate this even though you went with a different plot direction.
I always saw this as after episode 1a2 and probably 3 since that’s about wolf
Captain FoxMcCloud, Serial Number 30193, *MANG0NATION* .
When wolf gets mad he sounds like Kenny from the walking dead game series
Huh, that's a weird way to say bottom
0:19-0:24me when some one tea bags me after taking my stock when I play wolf in smash ultamate. Lol
I think the curses are a bit obsessive, but otherwise, great job!
This is cool. But I'm glad what we got in episode 1
Wow holy shit this scene changed a ton
Wolf is so awesome.
I hope we see this later on in the season.
I can see Star wolf has a double agent for corneria
It's like wolf got back in time to save fox
I'm totally looking forward to your Starfox videos, and this one takes the cake. I'm loving Star Wolf a lot now from this video. When will we see the full storyline of your series than your old testing videos? Not that I mind - I love watching your experimental vids, music, and voice testing. Also, your humor, animation, and storytelling is really awesome. I do hope you can make it to fur cons and promote your Starfox project to good use. I'm a anthro artist myself, but not an animator. I have a Fur Affinity account if you want to talk more. Please - I'd appreciate it. ^^
If he could upload the story like this with consistency.. I would honestly prefer that to years of no episode.
too bad, the web site adress at the end of the video don't work anymore, i'm on tumblr but it says there nothing here. :c
"It's gonna be me" WOLF = NSYNC CONFIRMED
how did I mISS THIS?!
.-. just.... just ... waoh ... awesome
They managed to make Wolf hotter than he already is somehow.
I love him ❤️
this is very cool !
1:35 The sexual innuendo is strong. xD
insert lenny face here
¿What's re You talking about?
Stare too deep into the quadrants
@@quantumblauthor7300¿ What?
Wolf seems to have some sort of superiority complex lol
Am i the only one who noticed that thats starfox 2 wolfen?
What’s the soundtrack in the background it sounds so cool for wolfs character
This is amazing! Great writing
Wolf could steal my girlfriend simply by the way he says "asshole".
I'm happy Weeber is not dead
Ya should support the patreon.
That a good show
He said fuck a lot
Ok that was pretty damn funny
This better make it in
Weeb trash Kerper This was just a demo.
Wolf needs to cuss more
fucking FURget it. Get it?
Do they love to hate each other? Is it thrill based? Do they secretly have a crush on each other, but "cannot" live it down?
Brutal... I like it.
goddamn dude your script and acting is dynamite
Your early version of Wolf was a lot like Negan from The Walking Dead
It's like death in the puss in boots movie
Oh he could have done that but since wolf actually hit fox mccloud in the final then he doesn't need to do betray kills
Hey Matthew how much does it take to do the voices, and if I were to do an impression what would you recommend??
I actually wanna see a dramatic end where wolf kills fox. Lol it'd screw over the great writing but it'd be cool
Could you somehow make this scene a part of one of your future episodes?
I understand that the episode this takes place in has already been published, but if you could make the wolf's actions come into cannon in a future episode that would be a jaw dropper.
I can see this happening in a later episode.
