Eventually the polyfil in all of those will compress and make them all flat. The way to make pillows stay fluffy is to make the cover 2" smaller than pillow. So if a pillow is 28"×28" you want the cover to be 26"×26" so that polyfil won't compress and become flat. You also really want an opening to those pillows so you can restuff them.
I wanted to make a little “me space” down in my unfinished basement. It came very quickly and it took me maybe 30 minutes to put it all together by myself. I will say, the boxes it comes in are awkward shaped and LARGE. So I did have to have help getting it inside. But it is SO comfy. It’s a little on the firm side but I prefer that. The back is not that attractive but I cover it with a blanket. All in all, I would 10/10 recommend it to anyone.

Definitely love this video.. I'm looking forward to re-sewing a new color for sofa again!!
I discovered paint drop cloths for crafting purposes a few months ago and have made pillows, curtains and am continuing to find more ideas. I used to pay by the yard for that stuff at fabric stores. They have some at Walmart too for under $10! Can’t believe it took me this long to discover that.
Yes!! It's an amazing discovery! Hahah We just did floor to ceiling drapes in our bedroom too. They look really expensive! Can't wait to look at Walmart! x
I bought two drop cloths. A loose weave twill that is soft and feels like linen, and a heavy twill that is rough like canvas. The loose weave twill may not be hard wearing but the heavy twill is a bit too rough. Which would you choose for floor cushions?
Im about to cry. You are a life save. I just couldnt get the cushions. I didn’t have the patience being sick and depressed. I can easily do this to finish. Love it
I watched this before I went to bed... and was so Thankful for you making this GREAT (Beautiful) Couch!!! I got up this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee and am rewatching this again!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate this video! I did find out that that you can BLEACH this canvas (white) and... you can DYE the material... I did a sample with the color of the walls I'm doing. I took the EXTERIOR House Paint... Diluted 50% Water to 50% Paint... put it in a big tub... put the canvas in it... let it soak... (outside).. then rinsed it out with cold water... and Fabric Softener... and it was great. The reason I knew this would work is because I "FLIP" RVs (I'm on my 25th one) and get a lot of this Walmart Exterior paint on my clothes and it doesn't wash out, so I thought it would work on this dropcloth... The other reason I wanted to DYE this dropcloth with the exterior paint is because it was a custom color of Turquoise I needed... I made CURTAINS with the DYED Turquoise. I ironed mine so that also sets in the color of the dye. The canvas was still soft... not as much as it would be just naturally, but the fabric softener helped, besides that it smelled better too. Make sure you wash the canvas (dropcloth) FIRST... because if you make the pillows before washing the canvas it will shrink!!! Because it is Cotton. Again... Thank YOU so much for sharing this GREAT Video.
Hey, this is crazy! I have questions?!?! Does the fabric feel soft again after? Do you think it would work on canvas and does it have to be outdoor paint? I'm planning on a slipcover for our couch and want our cotton darker we have interior paint that is the perfect colour. Is there a difference between oil based water based do you know? Sorry so many questions. 🙂
@@H.H_Herbals NOT Oil Based Paint! NO! Use Latex... I'm sure the interior is fine... And you don't need 50% paint... 20% is fine, the strong solution the stronger and heavier it is to get out. I did 5 Tea Towels (cotton) yesterday... turned out so Beautiful. Painter's Drop Cloth is next which is also cotton... Be sure to wash the Drop Cloth first/or with the dye, before cutting the fabric... if you put it in the dryer it will shrink a little bit. I personally put it out on the Fence in the sun to dry. If you need anymore help, please ask... Hope this helps.
@@H.H_Herbals Also... after I dye the cotton, lets say the Tea Towels for an example... I rinse them really really good... THEN dry it out on the fence... THEN I put them in the washing machine, wash them with a little soap, and in the rinse water put fabric softener...
