  • June, 2013 we traveled amtrak Train # 43 from New York Penn Station to Pittsburgh, PA. Was a great ride and and a beautiful day plus lots of train action. My thanks to our conductor for letting me take this video out of the rear of the car of the train.

Thanks to all. Was a spur of the moment thought and the conductor said there was no problem doing it. I like the fact that I was able to get some shots of the old style train signals before they were all changed out.

I want to take this from where I live (suburban Philly) to Pittsburgh during the fall. BTW, 20:00 mark, talk about "the light at the end of the tunnel!!" Excellent video.

What a wonderful video! When the train passed the curve itself, I felt that the scenery just became all the more splendid. And I loved the sequence through the tunnel! The whole clip was marvellous thank you for sharing! All the very best and greetings from the UK David

I really enjoyed the video but it seemed like your camera was trying to focus through most of it. Is that true?

Nice vid, but you didn't mention passing Cresson at 25:53 +/- oh, and when #43 is on NS trackage it becomes the 07T. Thanks for posting I enjoyed it, been around the curve many times.

Nice video! I didn't know you could see light from the east of portal of the Gallitzin Tunnel all the way to the east.

You have to turn off software image stabilization if you don't want your vids to look like acid trips :/

is it just me, or does the video go back and forth like it's trying to zoom in and out? If I was prone to motion sickness, I'd have gotten ill off watching this

No I used the RUclips program for improving the video and it made it do that. Learning experience.

For the most part, a good video of a great section of the old Pennsylvania Railroad "Broadway". However, like most amateur videographers, our host (AZSnarkF9) couldn't keep his hands off the camera, pointing it down, to the right and back. Perhaps, he was trying to be artsy, but it just created blurry video. Otherwise OK.

    That's it??
    What's so wonderful?
    It went around a curve.
    So what?

Would have liked to see where it was going, not where it had been.
