I love how Soul Forgo looks at Morpho Knight in FEAR. Unlike Kirby, it knows what the Butterfly means. It knows it's death is coming.
As Morpho Knight is a bringer of Judgement, Forgo's reaction is even more fitting. Galacta Knight was moreso a poor soul sealed away just because of his power alone. Forgo on the other hand has committed MANY sins, attempted genocide being one of them. It knew they won't be forgiven.
I think IIFD isn’t Fecto Forgo’s own personal Land of Dreams, but is the memories of both Kirby and Fecto Forgo combined
And Kirby’s memories are the only thing stopping Fecto Forgo from making the Phantom bosses unstoppable
I am not only amazed it is now canon, but I am still processing that the butterfly from across basically all of mainline Kirby is literally just the Grim Reaper, showing up to posses the universe’s most powerful beings when it sees fit JUST to fuck you up.
That butterfly is the same one that appears on Kirby at the start of every kirby game (he's trying to take over Kirby but can't)
@@superoakwood5513 It's never confirmed it's trying to take over Kirby. It's judging things each time it lands on them and canonically, I don't think Kirby has ever committed a single sin (if he has, said sins would be forgiven because it's EASILY outweighed by all the good he's done). It's realizing Kirby is good so it's just like "Eh, whatever". Galacta Knight was sealed away because people were too worried that he was too strong: He was basically a clean slate with no sins nor good things and I guess neutral is bad in Morpho Knight's eyes. Moreover, Forgo committed many sins including attempting a mass genocide. Even if it was justified, that would still be a sin and obviously, that's no good, hence the absorption.
@SonicMaster519 the description of the Morph knight sword heavily implies that it is.
I tell ya, after the backstories of Sectonia and Haltmann, it's so heartwarming to see Kirby save the tragic villain this time.
Same thing happened with Hyness and the Mage-Sisters. After RtD, TD and PR all had sad endings, it’s interesting how SA and FL both had happy ones.

@@leedlelel2373 void turing into kirb is only a theory it hasn’t been confirmed. Heck non of the astral birth void fight is canon. The last we see of void in the main story was the final Cutscene where he blows up.

When I started this part of the game, I thought it would end in a fight with Leon’s Soul.
Instead, it ended with Leon Dancing with Kirby, to fighting Forgo Leon, then to Leon being fully possessed, then to thinking I’d fight Forgo Soul, and then fighting Morpho Knight. What an ending.
Though, I will admit, kinda mad that this guy robbed me of a soul fight. I still got a soul fight, but I could’ve had _two._
That butterfly just came in and stole the show from the Final Boss! Not just a powerful “secret boss” this is the main Final Boss, the one responsible for this whole adventure. That’s like if it absorbed Bowser or the Death Egg Robot before the fight even started.
.......am I the only one who imagined a morpho bowser or death butterfly robot?

You clearly never played a Mario RPG, since Bowser is almost always getting usurped by a bigger threat in most of those games that forces him and Mario to join forces, also Eggman has pretty much been in a situation where another villain usurps him since Sonic Adventure 1 and constantly had that happen to him in the Sonic games during the 2000’s sometimes being in a similar situation Bowser is in the Mario RPGs being forced to join forces with Sonic!
So what I get from this is that Morpho Knight WASN'T the combination of the butterlfy with Galacta Knight. Instead, the butterfly just assumes it's true form when it absorbs a creature with inmense power. What the fuck is happening.
This (likely) means galacta knight is still sealed.

It makes me wonder, is the butterfly the sealed form of Morpho Knight, absorbing any powerful soul they can to regain their true form? Or is it perhaps it's own entity, creating Morpho Knights from power sources, be it instinctively, to permanently destroy them or for a more nefarious purpose...

The former, Morpho Knight is basically forcing a soul that refuses to move on to submit, by fighting Kirby. Otherwise there's no way to dissipate that power.

@@Naito9874 Galacta Knight dying isn't canon, though. The only entity it has changed is Forgo. It would make sense that it's simply killing them and absorbing their power to show its true form.

I'm very sure when the prototype Morpho Knight design from the cancelled Kirby for Gamecube was revealed, nobody expected such entity would be summoned in such weird and troll way, a butterfly, a mere butterfly, steps onto a powerful entity you expect to fight, disintegrates that powerful entity and becomes this

This makes me wonder. In star Allies, The butterfly uses Galacta Knight in order to turn into Morpho Knight, but even using a different vessel (ID-F86) he *still* turns into Morpho Knight. Because I (and i assume many others) decided due to the butterfly absorbing galacta knight, that was how he turned into morpho Knight having a similar appearance to galacta knight, but still different enough to notice that it *isn't* galacta knight). Does this mean that the butterfly doesn't mimic it's victim, rather morpho knight can be brought out based on how powerful the victim is? (I don't really know much about morpho knight, so if this has been addressed already, please tell me)
I take it as Morpho Knight being the butterflie's true form, but it needs someone's power to transform, like Galacta Knight's or fecto forgo's.
I'd assume he could try to absorb Meta Knight, Dedede and Kirby too.
Although since he has some power over the judgment of someone's life or death, I think when he considers someone's life over he feasts on their power to carry out that judgement. That's just my theory tho
I think it's more likely that it still has Galacta Knight's power and now also had Forgo on top of that

as for why it's appearance doesn't chance I guess Forgo is lacking a physical form? so it just gains it's psychic stuff?
I imagine Morpho is going to stop the “Soul Bosses” from showing up now because his pause description in SA does say he’s a kind of gate keeper for the underworld. The butterfly could have absorbed Galacta Knight just to gain a vessel to carry out its actions. Then when he is defeated, he can’t take Fecto Forgo to the afterlife/underworld.
(Also Morpho and Galacta could be considered “”canon”” now since Morpho has shown up in this extra story)

So, Morpho is it's own entity that's the sealed form of the butterfly, and its appearance has nothing to do with galacta knight. This means we can actually have Galacta Knight again, right?

i just fought this boss. and im gonna say this now *i fucking love this boss.* such a good and memorable intro, attacks hard to dodge, but unique, *HIS FUCKING MUSIC WHICH IS HELL OF A BANGER* and beating morpho knight grants you HIS ability, truely this is my favorite true final boss
Morpho Sword is the best because your dodge lets you go "*teleports behind you* pshhhhh.... nothin personnell... kid..."
I expect us to reach a point where Galacta Knight breaks free from the butterfly and comes back more powerful than Morpho Knight. Either that, or we fight both at the same time.

Galacta knight is still sealed, he never appeared and was never absorbed by morpho.

It's not really clear if Morpho Knight's form is based on Galacta Knight's, or if it has that form normally and just requires a source of power to manifest it. (In other words, if it's the former, it's possible Morpho Knight *crossed timelines.)*
Morpho appearing in actual canon raises a lot of questions that we don't really have answers to.

Galacta Knight seems to travel between timelines through the portals he enters through when it comes to the “what-if” modes, so if the butterfly absorbed his power to become Morpho Knight, then this is probably the same Morpho Knight we saw in Star Allies.

I definitely got baited into thinking we were fighting another soul boss then seeing the butterfly enter the stage. I missed the butterfly in the opening cutscene so it was definitely an "oh no, that's no good" moment.

How many butterflies are in Kirby? Because in the level of morpho knight sword, there are like 4 butterflies flying around...
Why does this make me feel galacta knight is going to fade into upsurity or something also i guess morpho knight is a butter fly (of whatever power) able to turn its victim (aka host) into this knight giving it the name "morpho" oh great another character to add to kirby lore which will know nothing about because they're only in two games

That's not Galacta knight.
The fight with Morpho Knight in Star Allies isn't canon, as it's part of the side mode. Therefore, Morpho never actually absorbed Galacta, and Kirby never actually fought Morpho in that game.
However, as the Isolated Isles is part of the main story of Forgotten Land, this Morpho Knight appearance and battle is 100% canonical and actually happened.
So, Galacta Knight is still around, sealed away somewhere, waiting to be truly released in a main story. And when he is, it'll be legendary.
