in this episode we are restoring the paint, doing a full detail, which includes custom paint protection film (ppf) installation, multi stage paint correction, 2 layer Labocosmetica STC + HPC ceramic coating , headlight restoration and deep interior clean (wet vac and steam clean)
covering saving the vehicle from the scrap heap and restoring it to an epic daily driver

Yeah, it turned out amazing - Unfortunately it's been sold on to a new home, which is very frustrating as a change in personal circumstances meant had I of kept it, I'd have been better off! >;(

Yes MK5s are great cars.
I had a 1.9 TDI , I did a GTB1756 turbo kit on it.
2.0 GTI MK5 with air ride 😞
Then A Scirocco 2.0 TDI track car(I made to 400hp and 660NM). - basically a MK5 😆
And now this... but it has been sold due to change in personal circumstances 😅😞
Bilt hamber atom Mac mate sprayed on before you was the wheels no rusty marks
Yes it does kind of work, but not always, and it's also quite expensive to use all of the time!
Also, water still gets on the back of the disc which cannot be saved by the Atommac.
Certainly an effective product

My understanding is that acidic chemicals used to clean alloys has a detrimental effect on tyres . I guess if it’s well rinsed off quickly it should be ok !!!!
@user-fz8ep5ey4v never had that as an issue.
In this case we used an iron fallout based wheel cleaner which is ph neutral base.
But acids and alkaline chemicals have their place when dealing with super dirty wheels - and don't damage tyres or wheels when used appropriately 😊

Which compounds do you lean towards
We have most compounds from major companies on the shelf as some paints work better with certain ones.
Carpro Ultracut and Scholl S30 take some beating, generally though.
What did you use on the honeycombe grill etc ?
Hi, they were new replacement grills so no product applied.
All that work to put a scabby VW badge back on the front...tut tut
