I'm an all-time Godzilla and Kong fan, but I didn't really like the more recent Monsterverse installments. I honestly loved Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island more, which IMO were the best since they began the world building of the Monsterverse. And yeah, we have the comics, but they too don't give much of the full lore and backstory of Hollow Earth and the Titans themselves. That's the issue I have, we were promised more lore and storytelling, but we only got snippets of what transpired before the current events. I hope it goes similar to Star Wars in that they make episodes and spin-offs to give more lore and worldbuilding to fill the gaps. GxK isn't a bad movie, I enjoyed it, but I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get much lore behind the war, they only say that Skar king wanted power and tried to get to the surface but was stopped by Godzilla.
Look... The movie wasn't terrible to say the least but it wasn't that good either. The thing I respect about it is that they actually put effort in the movie but the problem is is that it's just boring unfortunately. I'll give it a 5.2/10

The Wild Robot was a masterpiece & despite their track record of 3 L’s in a row that what I find fascinating about Dreamwork, they are often inconsistent.
