I like this build. Simple, clean, not murdered out and overdone like so many Dyna’s these days. That S&S is a hell of a centerpiece and was definitely the right call. Love when the perfect crate engine brings a build together 👍🏻
Bought my FXR in 1992 new. Done over 100000 klm without any issues. Oil as always been up to date though. Evolutions are sure quality beautiful engines. I won't sell my FXR for anything either. .
This bike didn't come with an 88ci.. it came with the 1340cc 80ci Evo, and just because he had a few issues with his after it was wrecked doesn't mean shit. People get a lot of reliable miles out of the 80ci Evo. The 88 wasn't a horrible motor, it had problems like the cam chain tensioner but that's about it. I love that this is your "got ya" lol
Duanne, the owner said in his bio and I quote, the bike was a wadded up mess. So, do the math : stunted, crashed, and totally trashed equals problems and mechanical failures, REGARDLESS of the bike. The 80 inch EVO is the most reliable platform to ever come from Milwaukee, PERIOD. Yes, I do this for a living. I hope that helps.

FXR's rule ... best handling harley I've ever owned, period ...
Ohhhh let me hear this! What about it made it better and what bikes have you owned?
I’ve watched this more than I want to admit
Hi Mike, greetings from Germany, my name is Michael Deutschle and I ride a 1991 FXR with Rivera 4 valve Cylinderhead
Fxr’s are some beautiful bikes for sure
Yes they are beautiful in deed, awesome frames that were not built to budget price , with reliable lovely Evolution engines .
SnS is a great lump to fit , I still like the original but most have a lot of miles now Inc mine👍🏼 great looking bike
Sharp looking sled. That S&S mill is a good choice.
FXR's are so much fun. I will never sell mine.
never ever sell your FXR, no matter what ...

Looks dope. Are you running the stock transmission with the 111s&s?
Supertraps are dope, i wanted to get one 4 my yamaha r6. Beast of a big man that motor is NOYCE. how much does that motor cost?
Sexy AF!!! Awsome bike my Man👍🏼
What's the length on your fox shocks? Nice build!
Dream ride!
Looks like the only thing Harley on that bike is the tank.
duane howard frame is the most important part. FXR is the most fun cruiser you can take through the twisties
is more than a fat Harley .. is agile and sporty riding ...
how do i get one of those pizza pockets?
REAL nice...
Perfect except for the bars
never did hear it run.
what length shocks you running
Sounds like the 88ci wasn’t all it was cracked up to be .So I ask why people keep saying its Harley's reliable engine?
the old Evos will run hundreds of thousands of miles - best motor built by HD - Most people want a lot of power, thus the big blocks by S&S and Ultima
My relatively stock 80 inch EVO has 125,000 miles on it. It’s had one top end job only due to a leaky base gasket. Miles to go before I sleep.
The 88ci engine was the first twin cam engine. This is the 80ci Evo engine, one generation behind in terms of development.
