I got so excited when I saw this video pop up. It's really funny that years ago walking down some street in Venice and ran into Ammar, and now I finally see you guys exploring my country.
After seeing you guys starting to travel a lot, I thought many times about reaching out to offer some snippets of stories unique to Georgia, because there are indeed so many niches of life to explore there. So, I'm glad you found your way there eventually. I wish I was there at the moment to say hello, but my next trip home is a month away.
I hope you explore more. Keep in mind though that the more you inquire about the state of modern Georgia, the more you will hear takes motivated by certain internal agendas. I hope you'll be able to dodge that and get as pure of an experience as possible. But our past is something that unites everyone there and you'll almost certainly hear true and genuine stories about it, similar to those of the woman in this video.
I doubt you see this comment but if you need any advice on the place or any help piecing together the big picture of our story, please feel free to reach out. Whatever I wouldn't be able to help you with, I could at least direct you to someone who can.
Hello, Im from Georgia, i wanted to meet u so much, if u are still in Georgia please meet
Thanks for sharing!
"Thank your mother for raising a good son" is such a beautiful compliment to Ammar and his family
You can feel that woman's love through her words, even after everything she's been through, It's inspiring. Thank you for listening to her and sharing it with all of us 💖
I am from Georgia and I am proud that one of the best channels in my opinion has been in Georgia and recorded this amazing video! thanks!
I want to mention that Georgia is more than this!
რანაერად წარმოაჩინეს საქართველო , გეგონება საილენთ ჰილია . მუსიკა ადევს თავი მეგონა საშინელებათა ფილმში არადა წყალტუბოა რა )))
Where are you from again?
@@Deme_Demetre 😂. Yeah I guess to a viewer with no knowledge of this place it might seem like the land is abandoned. But they point out many times it is a small chunk of land in the vast populated country. Most viewers will understand this is like an abandoned park tied to a countries history.
Can confirm as an American who visited Georgia that Georgian culture, hospitality, and life is amazing!

He is just 24 Years old. He looks and voices himself as if he is double that age! Amazing video and amazing human I hope the best for him.
I could not believe he was 24.
Yeah such a nice genuine seeming guy
Having Thomas and Ammar back traveling together is like a portal back to a simpler time! Thank you for the great content lately guys!
That woman seemed like just such a good, pure soul. So thankful for everything, even though it wasn’t a lot. And so quick to open her home to strangers and make them feel comfortable.
I hope she is still doing well.
The interview with the old lady was amazing. It is people who have survived war who are the most compassionate and kind and always advocate for love and peace. They understand the pain. Thanks for telling her story.
BTW please bring back your black Love Over Fear hoodie with the flowers and vines on the sleeves! I missed getting one before and now it's off the Seek Discomfort site
Thank you Ammar for coming back to Yes Theory Adventures, we miss the dynamic between you and Thomas. It is so special to have the original Yes Theory Crew
The woman living in the abandoned building is the epitome of a good and faithful servant. I pray she gets to return to her home. She also gave Ammar’s mother the ultimate compliment. Amazing woman.
I'm from Sweden, born in the 90's and I guess pretty privileged for growing up where I did. I really appreciate when you visit these places in Europe and tell us more about these forgotten places that's such a huge part about our history. I wish we had learnt more about this and Sovjet in school, since it's so close to us. Please, keep telling us about Eastern Europe, it's very interesting and eye opening. Thank you!
during World War II, Sweden was the main supplier of iron ore to the Third Reich, In addition, military supplies of the German army were passing through Sweden, Swedish intelligence actively cooperated with German intelligence, and thousands of Swedish volunteers fought in the Wehrmacht, SS and Finnish army

I feel the same way, this woman is amazing
I've been to Georgia last year and met hospitable people. While hiking through the forests in the small town of Lagodekhi, I was invited by a group of friends to a wine party where I was camping. It is worth noting the way Georgians do their toast (whether it's wine or chacha) and that culture is evident in this video. Each time we raised our glasses, they would recite a (usually lengthy) heartfelt gratitude or dedication for life, friendship, guests, and many aspects of life. 'Gaumarjos!' 🥂
I visited Georgia (including Tskaltubo) in 2022, and it remains the most amazing country I've ever seen. The people are incredibly warm, the atmosphere is so honest, the history is rich, and the food is to die for. Hoping YT will do a video on Gori next.....
I am also planning to visit this country on study basis so IS LANGUAGE A BARRIER INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE AS I ONLY KNOW ENGLISH .
@@harisharma1749 not in the cities. If you're in the villages you won't find much English but Tbilisi, Gori, Kutaisi, Batumi, Borjomi, etc you can definitely be fine with just English
As a regular Georgian i want to thank you for getting interested about those hard time of our country❤
WE APPRECIATE IT
Whoosh! The beauty of the lady who lived in the abandoned building. Also tearful from the love that radiated from her being. Thank you from Atlantic Canada, province of Prince Edward Island.
atlantic yes fam 🙌 NS here
"To love each other and care for each other, and through that the power above will know we're not all bad". Unbelievably moving. Thank you guys as always for shining light on what binds us together over what keeps us apart
My grandmother's caretakers are both Georgian women who immigrated to the US. They are two of the nicest most thoughtful people I've ever met. They are with her 7 days a week but also have their own families to take care of. It takes incredible strength to be able to move to another country for the goal of the battement of one's own family and give up so much. They have made me want to visit Georgia and said they will take good care of me when I do! Also, Georgia is the birthplace of wine, so if you partake, please try yourself a nice Georgian red wine. You will not regret it.
Omg. That moment between Ammar and the older woman was incredible. And here is my normal ask for larger sizes on your merch when you drop new ones. Please be inclusive of your entire community. 😢
Agreed, their sizes don't go big enough, for sure. And I thought being guys that make guys clothing it would be bigger but it's not!
Neat.
Hey! I never comment on RUclips videos, so here goes nothing…
Thank you so much for making this interesting video and shining light on our small, but oh so beautiful country❤️ I myself am born and raised in Belgium, but my parents and siblings were born in Georgia, which makes me a proud Georgian myself, finding every little opportunity to gloat about our food, our music and our hospitality. I’ve been following Yes Theory since 2016 and ever since I’ve always dreamed of this type of video, visualizing the depth and history of Georgia, a country lost in its own history.
Thank you guys for this one! Lots of love, Ana ❤️
I there’s something Eerie seeing how much was spent on this just for it to become a ghost house with shards and memories of the past.
After your mentions, so many viewers came to our channel!Thank you for your generosity! ❤
How do you guys record such high quality footage while travelling ...ya'll carry a SERVER?😂
Omg, I have been there! I went all alone to this place back in 2022. Took the bus and went exploring. I was a bit scared. But I am so glad I went!
At one of the abandoned houses people lived there, they invited me in and gave me tea and fruit. They couldn't speak English and I can't speak Russian or Georgian. But they were nice!
Perfect example. He was loved. It shows. He had a good childhood.
The GOATS of production, editing, journalism! Keep it up!
I cried seeing Ammar cry listening to the wonderful woman speak, even though he didn't understand a word, the love she embodies and radiates touched his heart and that was so beautiful to witness. What Ammar said about blaming the environment when we are a part of the environment, and blaming the society even though we are society was so powerful, it really punched me in the gut. Thank you so much Yes Theory, y'all so damn impactful
Amazing. I am in tears after watching that lady speak about love one another, love is all yhat matters. I am jealous of your interaction with each and every person you show here. This is my motivation as i use disc golf as my medium to do the same thing in Africa. Love you guys! Hope tonmeet one day, maybe even work together some how.
its the people that go through the most that understand the most. That lady is the perfect example of that
amar kissing that woman's hand made me tear up. so much respect for Arab culture.
The first thing I said is look at how Ammar looks at her with so much passion and they just met their souls definitely knew each other in another life.
As a Georgian, I want to thank each of you for telling this story. It means a lot to me to watch this video because I know that I am a part of it all.
As Georgian, thanks for sharing our story in such a beautiful way, I’m crying rn. We can’t wait to see you back 🇬🇪
I absolutely love Georgia. I was lucky enough to spend 2 months there last year. I hope that you do more videos there. To anyone who is unfamiliar with the country, its not a desolate wasteland. There is great natural beauty and modern cities. Amazing and ancient wine culture and incredible cuisine. I only just scratched the surface but the history there is also amazing. There could be an entire series of videos about Georgia alone.
I don't think I've ever been this early, but I'm not gonna complain .
That old lady is so strong 😢❤
Big Love from Georgia. I"'m sure you liked our astonishing country. It has one of the best histories, culture, cuisine, and beautiful landmarks which is worth seeing. ❤
Shoutout to all the editors involved in the production! Very very noticeable highlights in the edit!
The tickets that were assigned to the people were free vacations for a whole month. Thomas, you are telling it as if it were a bad thing. On the contrary, the country cared for its people, so it made sure that the people, the backbone of progress, were rested and restored for another year of work. My grandparents went on vacation to the Black Sea free of charge because their companies took care of the workers. I loved joining my grandparents on their vacations.
A head full of fear has no space for dreams is seriously the coolest quote to date please continue to promote thay
I love all the elderly people shows on your videos because they are so kind and their stories hold a lot of value.
Love the old duo getting back for a trip like this, you guys are so inspiring with every story, even though I am watching my mind gets in deep thoughts throughout everything that is happening within the videos, I can't wait to see more for this year!
I just turned 40 and I would love to get out of my shell and do something like this, unfortunately anxiety and separation issues I have from leaving my house keeps me inside most times! I so wish I could go on an adventure before it's too late! I know this wouldn't have been possible for me 10 years ago as I weighted 325lbs but I lost over 100 pounds and I truly wish i could get back to my old self :) Love your channel and I have been watching you here From Moncton NB Canada and wish the world was bigger for myself and my family!
I love Saturdays ❤️ The idea of choosing peace and love for every person on Earth is quickly approaching! Like usual, ya hit it outta the park again!
I saw the title and was like: yeah, you should come to Georgia. Got immediate chills once I realized this actually was about my country. I've been watching this channel for awhile now and never have I ever imagined you guys coming here. Thank you for showing interest and hope to see more videos from Georgia.
20% of Georgia is still to this day occupied by Russia.
i’ve been a part of the Yes Fam for so many years now and as a Georgian having you here makes me so so so happy 🥹❤️ ive been manifesting this moment for so long!! Thank you so much for shining a light on my beautiful country and sharing our story!
When she said it felt like she knew Ammar for a long time, that really touched me. What a beautiful moment of deep human connection!
Lucas, thanks for hosting last summer!
Really love it when they bond with local people they're meeting for the first time. It's just so heartwarming! All the people they portray in their videos are So wholesome people❤
Much love to the Grandma :) Hope I'll meet her someday
Yes theory you guys are doing something so different. It gives me goosebumps just watching the videos. Appreciate you guys going out to these places and giving us the ground reality. Love you guys
absolutely amazing episodes guys, such a story to behold and seeing the woman still holding on to something she loved is so sweet.
“Thank your mother for raising a good son”
That hit hard ❤
Thank you for making these videos. They are really fascinating.
Those words spoken at 15:20 hit differently.. great video as always lads
I lived in nearby Kutaisi for a year and have been to Tskaltubo a few times. Very interesting places with so many abandoned buildings. Touching interview with the Abkhazian lady too.. Funny, i met Lucas a few times during my stay. Weird to see someone you know on a big YT channel :) Georgia is a very nice and beautiful country. Definitely worth a visit! Lovely people as well.
Always hyped for these vids to drop!!!
This is a better video then in a while (getting back to the roots of exploring/actually going outside of your comfort bubble) thank you
My mother is Georgian, but I've grown up in America, speaking English as my primary language, and although I have a love for Georgia as if it is my home country, I go there every summer after all and all my family is there, but I am insecure with how 'Georgian' I really am. I don't look very Georgian, I don't speak it very well, and I feel like to 'real' Georgians, I'm just a foreigner.
Either way though, I have been waiting for a Yes Theory video in Georgia for as long as I've watched you guys, and I was very excited to see this. I must admit though, that when I saw what it was on, I was a little disappointed, as there is so much more you can talk about and see in Georgia other than Tskaltubo. The people, the hospitality, that's what makes Georgia, Georgia.
I was so relieved to see Thomas acknowledge the occupied territories, (I'd love to see you guys see more about it), and I was touched by your conversation with the Georgian Bebo (grandmother). I could understand everything she said (which isn't always the case for Georgian, but sometimes), and the way she talked and was hospitable, reminded me of all the Georgian Bebos I've known. Including my own.
But sadly, the day this came out, 3/30, I lost my grandmother, my Georgian Bebo. Coincidentally, she was from the west side, near Tskaltubo. The conversation made me tear up. Not only because she reminded me of my own Bebo, but it also reassured me that I am Georgian. I have experienced this world. I'm Georgian to my family, to the Georgians I know, and that's what matters. But honestly, even that doesn't matter, because as long as I matter to them, who cares what I am. This was a very important realization for me, and I thank you.
Hopefully you come back to Georgia, every Georgian will agree there's a lot more stories to be told there.

Thats so cool. I’m also georgian, but from the state
My grandma passed away next day when we filmed it

Man wheres the episode were you guys bring all the amazing older people youve talked to together. These guys have been through war losing everything. Ammar you are such a good soul it burns through your eyes and your presence, you don't even understand the language but you got her feeling, very touching. .. Such a great encounter with a lovely woman. She's got a heart of gold.
Thank you, Yes Theory, for taking the time to show us a glimpse of the past and these beautiful peoples stories ❤
UK here love you guys and the message you put out 💙💪👊🏻💯🔥
I am from Georgia, I am very happy, that you guys visited our country, there is a lot more to it, you can come back anytime and show real face of Georgia, this is more like an soviet side of it. Georgia is a country of history, obedient to God, which you can confirm by many Churches ☦️, that are here and most importantly very guest loving 🇬🇪 I would suggest checking "Tbilisi" out, it is our capital and by the older part of it, you can see the combination of history and modernity. Thank you so much again, I would be glad to see you here again!
Fascinating vid. Thanks!
these buildings look stunning, incredible!
thanks for showing us these undiscovered lost gems the world had forgotten. looking forward to more

Guys I'm Georgian, i watch your videos for like 6 years and just imagined meeting you in my country 😄 that would be fun 😄
