I was rolling on the floor laughing at this CinemaSins episode 😂. Bruh was cookin’ em. But to be honest, more movie studios need a CinemaSins department to review their movies before release. A lot of it’s logic that they’ve neglected because they assume all of the viewers aren’t cynical.
To be fair, half the shit that gets sinned in these is due to negligence and misunderstanding. Go loo kat any of the Harry Potter sins and you'll see my point. Also, more on point, half the people don't care about the sins or flaws and will happily watch over them. When you over-analyse stuff, you lose all joy in it.
You are telling me all that is allowed and not one person thought “IM GONNA RUN NAKED DOWN THE STREET.” Seriously? No one? Not one hippie was like “it’s not against the law for me to walk down the street this way man.”
If the purge was real, I'd run into the grocery store and load up for the week. Or get into the gamestop and grab one or two things. While double-parking. Maybe before the night's over I might take a swim in the public fountain.
If the purge was real , you would be hiding in your own home . Stop lying about eveb breaking the law . If you don't want to leave the house to buy food then you won't leave it during the purge.
When I say "get" what I mean is "not having to buy it," which is a rather happy prospect for a broke-ass college student (because cafeteria eating gets old after a while). I'm also taking a jab at the fact that these movies all seem to think that all anyone ever wants to do when there's no law in effect is murder, because while there would certainly be some who do, it would mostly just be a lot of mass looting and and property damage that ends up happening. Look, I'm not going to tell you how you ought to conduct your interactions with people both on and offline, but I will say that taking out your clear bitterness and frustration on some random joker on the internet as if they had just personally pissed in your cereal isn't going to stop the bleeding.
Yeah, I agree with you on what the majority of people would do in a "purge" situation. Looting would be the number one crime committed (because so many of us just want to load up on shit we can't afford). I would also grab groceries, haha. Take a buggy, load it up and run it home. I wouldn't even worry too much about my house being broken into, I think people would be wrecking cars or public buildings first.
The ONLY thing I want to know in the purge, if you stole something, lets say money, would you still legally own it afterwards? Like you stole a 50 million dollars, manage to stay alive and whatnot, does that money become yours do to the possession is nine-tenths of the law ordeal?
I will answer ur question ina a simple way....... In purge if u kill someone or steal his life from him after purge u dont have to give him his life back.... So basically when we connect that with this and the fact all crime is legal..... U legaly obtain it like as if u purchase it
My understanding is, you can't be prosecuted for anything done on Purge Day. Murder, rape, theft are all fair game. The trick for theft would be to pull it off then survive the night to keep whatever you stole and keep other looters and thieves from stealing your stash.
I can't believe how bad this movie was. I was so upset specially because in the other movies you wait for any explanation about the origins of the Purge, and this killed just everything about the mystery of how it all began.
There was never any mystery behind the apparent "concept" it was straight forward as fuck, this movie simply shows that it was never actually going to work in the first place. The government had to make it what they wanted it to be, and then other people followed suite. This is literally the most realistic we've seen the purge be as of late, minus the drones.

the first movie was basically just a home invasion story with at the time was an interest concept that viewers wanted to see expanded across the country. With a big enough budget and good writing/ directing, the next three purge movies could have all been summed up into one great movie. @@austy_whasty7941 the first movie was fine and dandy but its sequels was just excuse the race bait. The whole concept is based on the old sustainable population Theory but those who expanded on the first movie are too stupid to realize it would only work if it was worldwide. because one country doing it would collapse because it would destroy the economic infrastructure on top of the massive declining of birth rates. My evidence for the race baiting is simply put you notice how the protagonist of the sequel's all just happen to be black and the quote on quote villains happened to be pasty White.

So true, not only was it extremely racist against all white people , it portrayed Latinos and blacks as completely unable to make good decisions and therefore living in poverty.
You know what's funny? The bad guys were extremely racist and deserved the criticism but you're saying an attack on them is an attack on all white people...so tell us how you really feel about white people if you think Klansmen are their representation 🤔🤔🤔
Mr. Nevz Almost all of the white people are represented as either murderers or evil government workers. If it did the same with black people, this movie would definitely be labeled racist so.
Those are my favorite too but I feel that the first one is good but certainly not better than the other two and the first purge was not as good as the other ones
I have only seen the first and second one, maybe the third one I'm not sure, for me I liked the concept of the movies but in my opinion they were done poorly.
@@EchthelionII I completely agree. The concept is amazing but the final versions could've been a lot better. Still, Anarchy and Election Year are pretty decent.
I think the main problem with these movies is that they only focus on the biggest crimes. For sure the first and only thing I would do during the Purge is clear out the nearest Apple store and Sephora.
The Purge has now begun: *Cue me setting my school on fire and stealing from candy stores* My sister: why do you need eleven different types of bracelets? Me: so I can get one for Tiffany, and Rachel and Callie and Mary and........

Gotta love how the first Purge came out, a new, original, and interesting idea, and then the studio basically just remade the SAME MOVIE 3 times with different characters and people still ate that shit up
How can a concept this good never get the good movie it deserves. We've tried 4 times we need a director like Christopher Nolan or something to actually make a good one. So much potential
Okay but like why would you kill anyway? I get there are psychopaths that would love to kill, but I mean shit, if I had to be a part of the purge, which let’s be real even though you can choose to be a part of the purge, the first movie kinda established that was just words on paper, anyway I would rob every store I could find, grab the most appealing shit, and bring it back home, I’m getting Spider-Man the game a couple movies and ton of food and just camping, maybe a flat screen tv. Point is them people who are killing who aren’t psychopaths are dumb af. I mean why kill people, has your boss really been that big of a jackass to you? Like a few people might have a vendetta but I doubt there would be that many people willing to go on a killing spree
crocbattle07 that brings in another points, wouldn’t it be enough to prove their experiment right if people were just looting and shit like why did they think killing HAD to happen for this to be deemed a success
Hell the stupidity of the first movie where the neighbors kill a chunk of the family because they’re stuck up goodie two shoes or something. And the next day they’re sitting across each other from the dinner table like there’s no hard feelings. Screw the law if the a hole next door ate my family and raped my dog I’d kill them the next day jail time be damned.
Its the point of the movie that's why. I think people are always more scared of murder. Looting isn't really scary and I don't really think people would wanna sit down and wanna watch a movie with looting scenes. Unless they can be super action-y. Which I mean could be a possibility. I do think it's a little weird how it always goes to murder though. I mean there is a lot of victim crimes out there that people could possible try. Including rape, kidnapping people, or torture. (I mean shows like Criminal minds tackles these themes a lot.) It would be cool though if they did one with people doing other high steaks crimes though. Because that stuff can still have action. Even stuff like robbery. Which I know they always "hint" at. But it would be cool if they had a crew of people trying to do a huge robbery, meanwhile they also got a second team watching to make sure the other purges don't interfere. etc. But then again that would turn it into more of an action film and less of a horror type of thing.
When you said Staten Island, Gilligan's Island.. I laughed.. hard.. at work.. and people stared. Thanks a lot Cinema Sins. And BTW I GREW up in Staten Island and I guess there's bad neighborhoods closer to the Brooklyn / Manhattan part.. but my neighborhood.. in the purge? No. It'd be pretty boring!

@13:35 Actually Housing Projects were created with Steel Beams and Concrete. The reasoning is if a fire takes place in one Apartment it would not spread so easily. Allowing residents to escape and firefighters to contain the threat.
Heard a bible verse and had to step in and clarify. The “Desires of the flesh” are actually referring to any desires that deviate from the will of God, in the Bible it speaks of how each believer in Christ has responsibility/choice/or whatever to yield to spirit(Holy spirit given from God) or our own flesh(lust, greed, fornication etc). So yeah all that verse is saying is to run away from the selfish desires of oneself that conflict with God, or just run away from ones own desires because by default Godly desires oppose fleshly desires.

The PREMISE is really scary, and could be really interesting, if it was actually looked at with a social commentary aspect. But they never go for it. If they do, we get dumb movies like this, that try to throw some excuse at the wall and hope it sticks, not realizing how stupid it looks.
sunhilram trust it can be done. I can’t give the specifics of how it is done but if you talk with these old school heads who was locked up/trapping during the 80s and 90s they can tell you it is possible.
I always love how there is some internet tuff guy in every video claiming something "can be done" yet they never prove it, in this case its "I cant give specifics on how its done, go ask a ex convict"
What bugged me most about all this was: Why did the Purge specifically have to be *_murder_* -filled in order to be considered successful?? Can’t a night of partying and occasional looting be just as effective in helping ppl to let off steam for the next year? Then, as more partiers start overdosing in successive Purges, and more ppl realize that violence and murder are perfectly within their grasp (ie no longer taboo), we eventually come to the original Purge movie.
Actually, come to think of it, instead of the NFFA _just_ flooding the streets with firearms, why couldn’t they also flood the streets with deadly drugs? Then they could say “Oh look, they’re having so much fun with their parties! What, too many ppl are overdosing? Well it’s their decision as Purgers to self-indulge, is it not? Who are we to judge?” Mix in some hallucinogens and hyper-aggression concoctions into the drugs, and you have yourself the makings of a self-made, less murdery, and much more diabolically subtle Purge.

But to be honest, more movie studios need a CinemaSins department to review their movies before release. A lot of it’s logic that they’ve neglected because they assume all of the viewers aren’t cynical.
Movies would never get released lol
To be fair, half the shit that gets sinned in these is due to negligence and misunderstanding. Go loo kat any of the Harry Potter sins and you'll see my point.

If the purge was real, I'd run into the grocery store and load up for the week. Or get into the gamestop and grab one or two things. While double-parking. Maybe before the night's over I might take a swim in the public fountain.
You sick fuck
If the purge was real , you would be hiding in your own home . Stop lying about eveb breaking the law . If you don't want to leave the house to buy food then you won't leave it during the purge.
When I say "get" what I mean is "not having to buy it," which is a rather happy prospect for a broke-ass college student (because cafeteria eating gets old after a while). I'm also taking a jab at the fact that these movies all seem to think that all anyone ever wants to do when there's no law in effect is murder, because while there would certainly be some who do, it would mostly just be a lot of mass looting and and property damage that ends up happening.
Look, I'm not going to tell you how you ought to conduct your interactions with people both on and offline, but I will say that taking out your clear bitterness and frustration on some random joker on the internet as if they had just personally pissed in your cereal isn't going to stop the bleeding.
lmaoo i just wanted to say you handled this really well and it was really refreshing to see on the internet
Like you stole a 50 million dollars, manage to stay alive and whatnot, does that money become yours do to the possession is nine-tenths of the law ordeal?
that would be something
I will answer ur question ina a simple way....... In purge if u kill someone or steal his life from him after purge u dont have to give him his life back.... So basically when we connect that with this and the fact all crime is legal..... U legaly obtain it like as if u purchase it
Well all crime is legal so that Means white collar crime as well. So basically you could do what you want and then after it’s all good
Well the whole premise for these movies is pretty half-baked so I doubt they even thought that far into it
My understanding is, you can't be prosecuted for anything done on Purge Day.
I mean, what would be a good origin for a day where all crime is legal?
It was fine until the drone part
I liked it
There was never any mystery behind the apparent "concept" it was straight forward as fuck, this movie simply shows that it was never actually going to work in the first place. The government had to make it what they wanted it to be, and then other people followed suite. This is literally the most realistic we've seen the purge be as of late, minus the drones.
Why watch the movie when you can just watch cinemasins instead?

Am I the only one still questioning how the first one got one sequel much less four of them?!
the first movie was basically just a home invasion story with at the time was an interest concept that viewers wanted to see expanded across the country. With a big enough budget and good writing/ directing, the next three purge movies could have all been summed up into one great movie. I mean, look at the paranormal activity franchise, it got 4 more movies (i think) which it didnt need. I guess what im trying to say is that a cash grab is a cash grab..
Purge 2 was the only good one. Minimal SJW bullshit. And more interesting scenes on the street.

Todd Howard invented the Purge : " It just works "

THAT'S THE POINT OF THIS MOVIE!! Normal people are not murderers. That's why they call in the mercs.
also rapists
crocbattle07 that brings in another points, wouldn’t it be enough to prove their experiment right if people were just looting and shit like why did they think killing HAD to happen for this to be deemed a success

God hates fun.
God hates sin and evil. Some people consider murder fun, doesn't mean it's moral.
Not to mention it's not that He hates fun, but losing yourself to it. Fat lotta good you'll do anyone, including yourself, if you become addicted to any kind of excess even if it's fun...
Amazing how EVERY YT comment page has to have religion in it, regardless of topic.
I checked the verse before it and it would literally be the best
And thus the term Newsposition was born! It stands bravely alongside classic sins such as: narration, exposition, narreadibg, clichés, and so much more!
I don't care what the makers claim, or even people who are certain types of fans of these movies, they CANNOT convince me that these movies are supposed to have social commentary on them. The PREMISE is really scary, and could be really interesting, if it was actually looked at with a social commentary aspect. But they never go for it. If they do, we get dumb movies like this, that try to throw some excuse at the wall and hope it sticks, not realizing how stupid it looks.
This and the third are hyper leftist propaganda. It almost looks like a parody of what Antifa thinks is going on.
Not really, yall exaggerating
If i was in this i would just sit at home and pirate movies for 12 hours straight
Maybe when people beg for infinity war
He delays it
It’s called patience, they’ll survive.
2:15 it is possible to hide razor blades in your tongue and have a full conversation. Old school tactic
sunhilram trust it can be done.
Rob Irvine lol are you mad?? Damn
Naturally Tee dude was big mad 😂😂😂
San Yates riiiight like it ain’t that crucial my guy 😂😂😂😂

People in that universe: “Let’s kill someone.”
Me: *Breaking into a bank* “Yeah, you do that, bud. I’ll stay right over here.”
Where is Everything wrong with the avengers: Infinity War!!
Handerborte 97 can’t do it. There is NOTHING wrong with AIW!!!
@Malik Shepherd Christmas
Guess what!
Who are we to judge?”
Mix in some hallucinogens and hyper-aggression concoctions into the drugs, and you have yourself the makings of a self-made, less murdery, and much more diabolically subtle Purge.
@@UGNAvalon We have the right to judge and we are free willed peeps and those who OD are pathetic losers to coward to face the real world for what it is.
@@dewolf123 not you shaming people for being depressed 😭so what you haven’t cried in what? 7 years or sum?
@@m.josena4485 Depression doesn't excuse being a drug addict and I am not sure what crying has to do with this plus shaming bad decisions is fair enough justified when ppl excuse it for the sake of it.
Buh. The point was the government was doing this for population control.
Hers a sin at 8:36 the pie graph added up to 110%
Haha, I love how at 11:14 Mr CinemaSins nearly breaks into laugh early at his Marlboro joke!
The Fast & The Purge-ious?!
Actually, The First & The Purge-ious!!
Infini... ah I give up
Finally you Marvel people are learning. Now shut up and face the corner.
Thank God I don't have to say the usual quote whenever I see people begging CinemaSins to upload Infinity War like some angry savages.
Whining isn't a good look bro
Good we are sick of hearing you babies cry about something we all know will happen.
Baby Oil Is Made of Babies “you marvel people” youre a dickhead
After watching over 60 videos in 6 months still wondering why I haven't subscribed
How much dead could a deadbeat beat if a deadbeat could beat dead horses... the funniest original take on an old saying I've heard in a long time
The razor could have been under the tongue. That is a way it could be carried
I wanted to add that, pretty common self-defense tool in my childhood neighborhood, but it was girls more likely to have them.
@@JerzCe73 same we had them in our hats and du rags
Exactly
Not with how he was yelling his shit wouldve been all cut up
We’re living in the purge every day
EXACTLY!! Ppl keep saying when it starts. I'm like it's ALREADY HAPPENING!
35 sins at once.
New record!
It really isn't, he's done some that were in the thousands at once
@@Vincent_Beers he did one with 1Million sins at once
Guys the most sins he ever gave was in a fast and furious movie it broke the sin counter.
The House overdub at the end was worth sitting through the whole video 😂😂😂😂
A: refer to the first cinematic purge as "The original purge" , or "purge of Prey" (since it starred Ethan HAWKe)
B: they emphasize murder being legal because the whole point of the purge is having lower class people kill each other to reduce unemployment, social services, etc.
It isn't about letting of steam, it's population control.
Come along with me
And the butterflies and bees
We can wander through the forest
And do so as we please
Come along with me
To a cliff under a tree
Where we can gaze upon the water
As an everlasting dream
Adventure time is dead
Lol you still watch a dead show. Fin dead lol
R.I.P.
"How much dead can a deadbeat beat if a deadbeat could beat dead horses?"
Why did I find this so entertaining lol
CinemaSIns clearly has no idea about keeping a razorblade underneath your tongue as a practice, which is very common in low income areas.
