i dont care what anyone says, Jagger kills the dance floor lol. i like his unconventional style. he just feels the music and moves accordingly. that Jagger strut is the best.
Absolutely. Perhaps the greatest frontman living. Although Freddie Mercury would be my personal favorite frontman ever , Mick is a legend, a league of his own. Only his ‘twinbrother from Aerosmith’ will match that level 😁
He invented his own style many many years ago, he creates his own moves and moves as he pleases and takes the whole stage. Nobody can tell him he's dancing wrong because that's his style. That's a rock star with total control and freedom with his body. It's not all the choreographed crap everybody tries to dance in today's movies just intented to impress a viewer. That's the difference. Jagger does whatever he wants instead of making stupid poses, I mean dance moves, to please an audience.
Yes - he's no Jason Derulo or Chris Brown doing carefully sequenced moves - he is original and spirited like a human mustang! I love his dancing and think it's brilliant.
@@ThePakw reserved is probably a better term for it. He is an immensely private person offstage and sort of turns it off and on. It’s his job, and then there’s the personal side we the public don’t see but sometimes hear glimpses of in the odd interview with people who’ve known him.
Just had a drunken conversation with my old man when he exclaimed that he preferred the Stones to the Beatles, because "Jagger was the man". My Dad lived through the 60's in London and my entire life has been spent communicating entirely through the medium of sports. Tonight was a major breakthrough, just with that one sentence I learnt a lot about him...

Daniel Akerman exactly, I totally can relate his movements to James Brown, he is a big fan, although he’s not executing the movement with technique u can see the reference, lol it’s funny.
Yeah none of them would exist without James Brown's crazy ass. Dude was doing this shit in the 50s for God's sake, long before psychedelic drugs in the 60s taught everyone to stop being so uptight
Thank you afroliciousful for putting this together, it shows how talented Mick is and the fact that he is still moving like this today proves that it wasn't just because of alcohol or drugs. A true master!
You know I see people saying that Jagger can't dance....LOL Well I beg to differ. Dancing isn't about being perfect unless your doing Ballet or something. This man had it figured out, its called expressing yourself....I cant dance but I can do this LOL Besides you would be surprised at how people respond when you act like wild crazy you. I mean look at Jagger, he nailed it.
while I agree with you, spazz dancing is still not going to impress anyone like this song is trying to say. only reason why the singer is comparing his dancing to mick jagger is because the name rhymes with swagger
the people that put down Jagger are just jealous besides what difference does it make any way as Keith Richards said if you were Mick Jagger why would you want to be anyone else?
I love to watch as he gets carried away and then laughs at himself. He did that a lot in the 69 Madison Square Garden show. The costumes, the face expressions, the energy. It’s authentic to him and why we are still getting a kick out of it 50+years later. The sexy comes from being confident in his own skin. 🤙
I love that most of y'all agree he's amazing with those moves, he dances like he wants, he performs always with a lot of energy, and that's one of the reasons he's one of the best frontmen ever
Thank you very much! I'm pleased you enjoyed it and that it was educational for your grandson! I'm 24 and was amazed by how many people around my age didn't know how he danced so I'm glad that the video is serving its purpose!
Never had a clue to what Mick Jagger's performances were like, until Maroon 5 sang Moves Like Jagger ! This vid is just so..perfectly fitting! Nice tribute to Jagger's swagger - he's totally committed in bringing out the best in every song with those moves !
Nobody else can dance quite like Mick, because it's not about his 'moves', but how he personally feels the music; his own personality channelled through his own unique muscles and bones. He was influenced by James Brown early in his career, but he has created his own style, which continues to evolve. Also, although he does have 'moves', how he puts it all together is completely improvised, so no-one else is going to create the same impression.
This is a great video you made here afroliciousful. My 12-yr old grandson loves the Maroon 5 song and sings and watches the video a lot, so 1 day, I asked him if he had any idea what the song was actually about and of course, he didn't, so I found this video and was able to introduce a new generation to Mick Jagger and the Stones and to tell him that they had been around since I was his age and nobody, but nobody had the "moves like Jagger". Thanks for this great video!!!
high energy, cocaine powered, electric, sporadic, spasmatic dancing: Mick Jagger. it's not knowing a routine or dance moves or studying styles, it's just going out there being crazy and improvising something into the song. a tree free style.
Excellent video. For all the young people that don't "get" it, maybe you had to be there. For those that do get it, you are in for a fun life. Enjoy!!!!
Mick is an inspiration to watch and listen to. If we all danced like he does, we'd be in such good shape. Assuming of course, that we lived through the dance, lol! USA
That was awesome! Great job with the video clips cuts fitting the song.. thanks! Met them in person in 1989 while working room service delivering food at Hotel Syracuse... NY... experience of a lifetime! Saw them twice in concert, love their still going strong :-)
Everybody's dancing would seem awkward without hearing the original music that goes with it, like in this case. I think most of Jagger's dancing is his way of expressing how he feels the Stones' music, in the first place. It's a part of what set the Stones apart from lots of other bands.
