I like the idea for lumix "X" video focused cameras to have the low pass filter . My list of features If possible. - internal NDS -low pass filter " thanks " - faster sensor read out speeds - good connectivity Wi-Fi - Lumix " Filmmaking app that allows Focus pulling , changing ISO and aperture. Extra.... - tracking app in camera. Like smartphones- great for rental houses and you to keep taps on equipment. - hopefully get Arri log on the full frame cameras - along with all the great features already in Lumix cameras. Yes I'm asking for a lot.
I think for MFT they have the camera names G, GH, GX, GM and they add numbers. They don't do it very consistent (G7 .. G85 ... G95 and G9 which is a different class). In the l-mount S1, S5, S9 are the names for different tiers of camera and they add the letter for sub-versions S1, S1R, S1H. Since the 1 means flagship class, they can't call the next version S2. They have to call it S1-II, S1H-II and S1R-II. It might be possible to have an X added at the end for some special stuff like S1H-IIx in all black and with Arri-Log pre installed or something like that. Over all, the naming of Panasonic looks pretty chaotic. It feels like they changing the people who have the final say in the naming to often and everybody invents a new system for the future.
The thing with Panasonic is that they actually follow a considerate naming scheme, but only for the Japanese market, apparently, and then they change name based on world region. For example, my GX80 is named liked this in Europe, but in USA it is called GX85, while in Japan it is called the GX7 Mark II. At least this happens with the MFT lineup. The FF one is younger and as such they have less cameras to mess with haha
I think someone at Panasonic said they’re not getting full frame 120fps sensor yet… They have GH for fast sensors and S for image quality. Very happy with my s5 II and gh7 combo, not in a rush to upgrade but looking forward to see what they can come up with
@@engineer4862 My original S5 has better image quality in video and more Dynamic Range. There is no need for me to upgrade to the S5 II. I am looking at a ZVE1 or Z6 III better slow motion and can do everything internal.
I agree that we are going to see the S1 II and S1 X. The S1 could be a higher mp version and the S1 X the video focused version. That leaves room for an S3 sports camera. That could come later do to L Mount not really having a plethora of sports lenses.
I think they could just ditch the regular S1..... So the line up would be -S9 (compact, no evf, lack some high end features) -S5 (semi-compact, best budget option, as many features as possible for the price, leave out a little to allow for top tier models) -S1r( high resolution sensor, and in the bigger body) -S1h (Video model, with extra cooling fans and such, and in the bigger body) I didn't add the mark part, because it would be long term roadmap....so mark ii, mark iii, mark iv as times go on.
I think the S1 and S1R body would be downsized closer to the S5 sizes. With Sony’s ACR, it’s obvious you don't need a huge body to pack a high-resolution sensor.
@devonzachariasmedia If they shrink it down to the s5 body, that's basically my point, the s1 is simply eliminated, we eventually just have the s5 iii, no s1 ii. I could see there being an s5r, rather than an s1r ii. So no s1r ii, just an s5r, then eventually s5r ii. The s1h will likely stay bigger though, as they need more room to cool a video camera. So eventually we have s1h ii. S9 S5 S5r S1h No need for an s1 or s1r side by side with an s5 and s5r.
i think s1 and s1h was the s5ii and s5iix. releasing 2 cameras, just like you said, i dont think they will follow up with ths s1 line.. perhaps a new kind. ofcoarse am just speculating
@@ilikesubaru i am now, thx to Lumix. i was 10 year Canon user, moved from the R5C, bought the Lumix S5iix and S5ii and just one month ago FX3. a 4 year old sony camera that kills every lumix...that says it all, and its not even the top of the line sony
So exited for a new lumix release, I’m really hoping for some internal ND 🤞
I would buy it lol.
I seriously doubt they would put ND’s in their hybrid camera. I just want an up-to-date version with everything similar to the GH7 but in full frame.

You really are, but those would be nice
Actually not a lot after these long 6 plus years when camera brands have come a long way and lumix needs massive catching up
We need a EVA2 vs FX6 vs C400 battle!
Looking forward to the Panasonic S1H Mark 2
Waiting for this over long time .
Would love to see an updated BS1H

be calm, guys; it's a handheld camcorder and S1D.

Maybe S1HII and BS1HII? I would really like a BS1HII
They already realized a "BS1H II" its called the AW-UB50... They might just make the S1H II and the S1H IIX a box camera, who knows lol
Really hoping 3:2 full sensor 120FPS in 4K. With no reduction on quallity or DR
Hopefully, but did I just not witness lumix just released a new MFT, G97 and another fix lens camera point and shoot, this week...
Unless they’re making easy profits somehow, they should just skip the filler
Wasn’t it just updating the camera to comply with USBC standards
@@RhettThompsonFilm💯 it's hilarious how these people have such high opinions, but no idea what they are talking about
I was going to buy the Lumix s5ii... now I dont know, should I wait just in case? I'd love the perfect hybrid camera
go sony bro, believe me.
Go either ZVE1 or Z6 III
L mount is trash and S5 II is also trash.
Not a hater. I'm just an original S5 owner and I'll be moving to Nikon or Sony. Most likely Z6 III

You can't have internal ND in such compact package. They would need to make a box camera
One of these companies is going to figure it out
So how does the BMPCC 6K pro have it ? 🙄
Lumix submitted a patent for END last year

It's the g97 and a compact camera.
