Ironically, I lived a life that centered on the feelings of others. Instead of expressing my feelings frankly, I thought I had to live a happy life that would require suppressing my feelings to avoid making problems. At the same time, I firmly believed that my inner anxiety or nervousness should not be revealed. I tried to think positively or forced a smile on my face, hiding my unease and pretending not to know. Some feelings discomforted me, which I knew I should not be feeling, yet whenever those feelings arose, I would deny myself and suffer. The money just weeded out most teachers. But Nisargaddata Maharaj is ❤️, and Ramana Maharshi as well. I felt a surge of something go through me when I was watching Nisargaddata on video a few years ago. I knew he was the real deal from that. It brought me to tears, that experience. He chose to exist in his body by not doing. This was the telos of his choice. Choice, I would say, is the ultimate responsibility. The work of Victor Frankle emphasized this point in Man’s Search for Meaning. Choice might seem to be an illusion in connection to the body. In this world they both objectively exist. Very profound message. Thank you!
Sir, this is satsanga. Despite all that " I " have understood of Bhagavan's teaching, "I" can't help falling in to deep depression and hopelessness. Strangling fear of death too haunts waking hours. Each time I am at a lose I return to this Satsanga and am instantly charged up. Sir, you are a guidebook 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yes it is good in times of despair to be reminded of who we really are and be reminded, by true spiritual teachers and sages, of who we really are...and to press on in overcoming the world's cynicism and personality cult/ego/and compulsive thoughts.
The interview is very transformative. Thank you David Godman for sharing this higher knowledge. You are a true student of Bhagavan Ramana. I found this whole video very very helpful. Thanks a lot Anthony ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you David Godman for being such a great devote to Sri Ramana Maharshi that we could hear Sri Ramana Maharshi and, all in all, listen again to the silent teachings of tat tvam asi.
The way David was explaining answers to all questions I felt as if Maharshi Himself was answering my questions- No doute that David has gotten the taste of Shri Maharshi
One thing I would suggest would be for you to read your questions out loud. That would allow people to just listen to the interview as mp3 or other. Also, there are visually impaired people who just can't access visual information.
Congratulations! The best video ever, putting all together the most important teachings of the best sages you concluded the "idea" of what we all are. An exact summary of the subject! Thank you, many blessings!

Thank you for your dedication. I listen to these talks as l did my favourite stories as a child. It blows me away to think of a realised person in a cave being of greater benefit than, say, a social-worker!! ❤
Watching this priceless video has been a divinely ecstatic experience. The clarity and simplicity in the way you have so generously shared such great knowledge are simply amazing. Merely listening to you speak about Ramana Maharishi is such a soothing and peaceful experience. Thank you very much. 🙏
A beautiful woman in Colorado called Connie Rae Andreas has also discovered this and is teaching this. She isnt in this state constantly but is able to help people to attain this state for moments using a step by step process of dissolving the I. I have done this process and so have hundreds of people -it works-quite simple. But I dont know how you can stay with this for a very long time. Thanks for sharing these teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi-awesome!
When U G Krishnamurthy asked Ramana, " I want to have what you have" - Ramana said -- "I can give you, but can you receive it " --- this is by far the best explanation from Ramana Maharishi about enlightenment. -- the beauty of this conversation is --- What Ramana had to offer was silence --- but nobody can receive silence because they can recognise sound but not silence.
Silence can only be understood by knowing one's self and by knowing one's Unconsciousness. No one can give another either of these realities. They must be discovered through personal experiences, which obviously will be unique for each person on the path of Enlightenment.
Never heard a better explanation than this regarding the “I”,,,,,, self. This clears up many things for me. Thank you so much. Love and blessings 🙏🏼💜🇨🇦 (the flag is there just to let you know where , geographically, where it comes from. It is not who “I” am 😊
So wonderful, nicely captures the whole teaching. The fact that I am writing this comment shows I haven’t kicked out the wedding intruder. Or may be the comment is just written without a writer just like Maharishi said a few things without being the sayer.
Enjoyed your commentary Davidji! I am so fortunate that I came across your channel today and subscribed right away. I am in the middle of reading I AM THAT and your commentary on Sri Ramana Maharshi is very similar to Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. I watched your other videos and enjoyed hearing about your journey to the east. Cant wait to read your books next. This subject, that can be hard to follow for many, but was made so easy to digest by your direct and straight forward commentary. This is exactly why three other Guru's choose you to write for them. Last week I fractured my foot that forced me to stay home during this long weekend (in USA) so I starting to read I AM THAT and looked for the same on RUclips and found your channel. I guess there was a bright side to fracturing my foot!!!

I felt a surge of something go through me when I was watching Nisargaddata on video a few years ago. I knew he was the real deal from that. It brought me to tears, that experience. I haven't felt it since. 🙏❤️. Thanks to David for his eloquent way to explain everything ❤️🙏
Mooji is also like this. He has helped my Self as well!
@@faithyourfear6401I have listened to and have a respect for Mooji but he does charge money and ask for donations.
Mooji is a delusional charlatan
Thank you David, for always being so thorough and clear and calm in your explanations. Your love for, and dedication to, Sri Ramana's message always is evident and much appreciated.
🙏🙏🏼🙏🏿🕉️
He chose to exist in his body by not doing. This was the telos of his choice. Choice, I would say, is the ultimate responsibility. The work of Victor Frankle emphasized this point in Man’s Search for Meaning. Choice might seem to be an illusion in connection to the body. In this world they both objectively exist. Very profound message. Thank you!
Clarity itself. First time I’ve understood properly. May awakening happen to us all. 🙏🏾🆒🕉📢🙈🦋🔔🙉🙏☯️👌🏽🙊🕉️
Thanks David, always beautiful.
Thank you David Godman for being such a great devote to Sri Ramana Maharshi that we could hear Sri Ramana Maharshi and, all in all, listen again to the silent teachings of tat tvam asi.
Man, did I need this!
Thank You so much.
Thank you David! Blessings All.
The way David was explaining answers to all questions I felt as if Maharshi Himself was answering my questions- No doute that David has gotten the taste of Shri Maharshi
This is so beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!
One thing I would suggest would be for you to read your questions out loud. That would allow people to just listen to the interview as mp3 or other. Also, there are visually impaired people who just can't access visual information.
Thank you David, from deepest part of my heart. Such a delight, such clarity.💖
A blessing it was to listen to such sublime words.🙇🏽🙇🏽🚩🚩
Thousand likes and love from the "I" for the entire document. Many thanks👍🙏🏽👍🙏🏽
Congratulations! The best video ever, putting all together the most important teachings of the best sages you concluded the "idea" of what we all are. An exact summary of the subject! Thank you, many blessings!
Wonderfully clear and inspiring, thanks so very much 🙏🏻🙏🏻💖
All questions asked are what naturally occur to people and answered by David Godman in an authentic way with his deep background in all Ramana related matters.
Thank you for the very clear expositions of Sri Ramana Maharshi's teachings
Sri Ramana was the real deal, you are lucky to have been in his company.
He was never in his company, what are you talking about ?
Thank you, grace and blessings!
Grateful, Mr Godman for this very lucid exposition.
WOW! There's no words. This just jolted me into a spontaneous awakening. Best hour of my life.
THANK YOU
Most eloquently done. Your connection with Ramana is heartfelt. Many thanks !
How lovely. How simple. How clear.
Kindest regards to all involved.
Hugs all around. :)
This is an amazing listening! Love it!
This video is a priceless gift to the world. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for your dedication. I listen to these talks as l did my favourite stories as a child. It blows me away to think of a realised person in a cave being of greater benefit than, say, a social-worker!! ❤
This is the one and only fantastic explanation on Raman's Teaching .
Watching this priceless video has been a divinely ecstatic experience. The clarity and simplicity in the way you have so generously shared such great knowledge are simply amazing.
Merely listening to you speak about Ramana Maharishi is such a soothing and peaceful experience.
Thank you very much. 🙏
Brilliant! As always.....Thanks David for breaking down Bhagawan's teaching into such clear and simple morsels for us to understand.
My first time hearing this. Wow. I am in Awe!!! Thank you. Seek and you will find.
Eternally grateful to you for sharing this priceless treasure of the highest knowledge.
David you are as important to me as Ramana cos if is wasn't for you I wouldn't have known his teachings 🙏 you are a link on the divine chain
I'm grateful for these teachings, which I just discovered. Thank you.
Thank you David for everything you are a Saint

Totally lov this guys style, what a champion....fully appreciate his efforts, I have leanrt alot from him, would lov the chance to meet him
So helpful in understanding the book “I am”.
@Darren why?
@Darren LoL 😂 you people watch and learn from our Hindu Dharma knowledge from India but still do Jesus. Ungrateful people.
This is beautiful. Truly grateful for the message! Thank you
Thanks for uploading this interview.
Do you mean J. Krishnamurti asked that?
@@floriankoch2328 you will be more mesmerized if you get to know about UG Krishnamurthy. JK is different.
Never heard a better explanation than this regarding the “I”,,,,,, self. This clears up many things for me. Thank you so much. Love and blessings 🙏🏼💜🇨🇦 (the flag is there just to let you know where , geographically, where it comes from. It is not who “I” am 😊
Such a good overview of Ramana’s teachings, I’m very grateful for this video.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you.
Thank you David, beautiful video... so clear
Absolutely fantastic. Loved it , Loved it , Loved it !!!
Thank you for making Ramana's teaching easy to understand.
This is excellent. Thank you, David.
Wow! Love the beautiful clear teaching!
Who are you, you are everything, you are unique and divine. Loved always.
So wonderful, nicely captures the whole teaching. The fact that I am writing this comment shows I haven’t kicked out the wedding intruder. Or may be the comment is just written without a writer just like Maharishi said a few things without being the sayer.
Thank you very much for these very clear and concise explantations. The examples and metaphors you use are also very helpful.
