Worzel gummidge. Another great vid. Thanks for sharing with us. Cheers. Dan
Correct Daniel. Happy travels through the star gate. 😀
Hi Aannsha & Barry
Hell's Bells!
I dont know how I came to find your channel but I was, until today, completely hooked on it and now feel terribly disappointed!
No it wasn't something you said or did (or even didn't do) I have been enthralled by your adventures.
So why am I so disappointed? Having blitzed my way through all your Vlogs (Episode 198) over the last couple of weeks I find myself being unable to find Episode 199, 200 etc etc etc. Then I realized you only posted 198 on the 4th December so now have to wait another week for the next one. This is too cruel.
I really admire what you have achieved and it was for some time my own ambition to be a liveaboard but alas life got in the way. All my sailing was in UK waters and I have sailed throughout my life all around British waters. I did however sail over to the Med in a friends 38' catamaran from Gosport UK. Crossing the Bay of Biscay in 3 days being the crowning glory of my long sailing career.
Like you Barry I suffer from sleep apnoea but my Resmed cpap unit ran on 12v so I had a separate battery put in just for that purpose and for a month everything worked perfectly. Well worth the effort!
I look forward to you resuming your vlogs. Take Care & Sail Safe . Best wishes for Xmas & New Year from Brian Mitchell
Hi Brian, nice idea to have a separate battery for cpap machine. Glad that you're enjoying our journey and thanks for leaving a comment. Cheers. 👍
Ah Smiley’s, always a treat 😋 and for the combat of the century Baz 1 - mouse 0. Good job 🤣🤣🤣
The best!
@@SailingABSea 😂😂😂
I saw a mouse!
(Where?)
There on the stair!
(Where on the stair?)
Right there!
A little mouse with clogs on
Well I declare!
Going clip-clippety-clop on the stair
Oh yeah! 🐭 Sail Safe Guys, Ant, Cid & the pooch crew.
An oldie but a goodie. 😀
I missed you Friday night - (for me) - and the whole weekend. I know it seems odd - but I actually get out once in a while. You're in Sept and I'm in Dec - and I'll be glad when 2021 is over and 2022 is here. 2022 is the year of change - I can't wait for the cavalcade to begin. I'll give you a hint - I'm going to move from Portland to Las Vegas. Maybe the ripples will even reach Turkey.
I don't recall you talking about this new contract - that kind of stuff interests me. Can you share more information.
(Baz) Las Vegas eh... You going to become a big time card shark? 🎴
Believe it or not, we have to deal with foxes coming aboard in the marina in Gosport, Solent. There's a huge colony (if that's the right word) around the local area and they are bold as brass. Looked up once to see a fox snuffling round in the cockpit or our neighbour's Moody (the owner was away), and we have left food to keep cool in our cockpit in a box overnight... only to find pieces of box and no food in the morning :)
Wildlife are surely attracted to human activity.😀👍
Sail Ho, the correct name for group of foxes is a "shulk" or a "leash" we have a shulk living in our garden but just refer to them as a family! Easier to say and sounds more descriptive.
Great vid
Thanks Freddie mate.
Haven’t read all the comments but i had some rodents on board and tried peppermint oil which had been recommended to me and it worked a treat…….apparently the hate it!…..subscribed yesterday!…been watching all your videos….enviable!
Thanks for that tip Richard.
No mouses were harmed in the making of this movie.🤣
We hope it was a good swimmer. 👍
Great video we get field moce in our house in winter smaller than normal mice don't have the heart to kill them and they always disappear in spring
We love the little cuties but the problem is the wee and poo they leave everywhere and on a boat they chew through the electrical cables.
Had a rat onboard for three days a few years ago, still finding damage, chewed through cables, hoses and my dinghy. A trap and peanut butter got him. I now have electronic units to keep them out and fit rat guards to the stern lines.
Peanut butter for the win. 👍

@@judithbowles8252 well done, you're getting very technically proficient now Sis!
Cool
Ratty rat. 😀
Barry, I hope you don’t think I’m being pedantic, but the French supermarket group Carrefour is pronounced “car-for” not “cary four”. Maybe there in Turkey they have their own way of pronouncing it, it’s a bit like Nestles products, for years we in the U.K. got it wrong saying “ness-alls” rather than the correct pronunciation “ness-ley”. Is all this important, not sure but imagined if everyone called you bar- ree!😆
(Baz) You are correct we do tend to be a little sloppy in our pronunciations. We'll attempt to raise the bar from here on. 😀
Of course! And I think the reason we call it Carrer-four is because the first time we came across it was in Spain, and that's how they pronounced it. I wonder how Turkish people pronounce it? 😃
In the past, legends circulated among sailors that mice and rats have a sense of danger and leave the ship in port if this is to sink on the next voyage, so a ship without rats was considered doomed and many sailors refused to embark.
So if your ship has a mouse, it means it's okay, there's no danger in the future.
It's always interesting looking back at history and how humans considered certain things to be omens, good or bad. 😀
👍🧿
Merhaba Sadik. 😀
You can also Melt some Milk Chocolate on the Mouse trap Tab so the mouse has to work to get it off :) . Stay Safe
(Baz) Chocolate doesn't last that long on board A B Sea. 😂
@@SailingABSea It also works on fingers lol hahahaha
😂
Low on cash in Kas? well you remedied that. as for your new pet, Ratus mortuus. as a Turkish native no passport needed but if it had stayed....... 😎
Maybe ratus mortuus or maybe ratus swimuus awayuus. 😂
"There's a moose loose aboot this hoose" or was.....
A noisy moose to boot. 😀
Should borrow one of the cats ashore for a week/ Those little rats like electrical wires .
The electrical wiring was our biggest concern too. Rent-a-cat. 😂 Could be a new business enterprise.
@@SailingABSea I got a friend who has a business called 'rent a cat' 150$ an hour , Guaranteed satisfaction Ha
(Baz) At $150 an hour I'd want guaranteed satisfaction. 😂
🐀 👍🍺
🐀 + 🐈 = 👻
Have you given it a name yet?
Ratus mortuus. 😂
@@SailingABSea this is an exmouse, bereft of life it rests in peace, etc …… apologies to monty python!
If we'd have caught it we'd have nailed it to the perch. 😂
