There is definitely a passive form in English. Sadly, if you didn't pay attention in class, you don't know it. I'm American and I had strong grammar training in school so, yes, I know passive absolutely exists in English.
English speakers use passive form all the time. Maybe they just don’t realize that’s what it’s called. Passive voice is easier to use in English because you usually just use the same verb.
