July goals -- write 40K words in my new police procedural novel.

Long time lurker. I got edits back from my developmental editor to work on. It's my first developmental edit and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I can do this.
I’m glad Andrew is safe. I panic when I can’t find one of my cats.
Glad Andrew is okay. I remember the stress of having a child missing, my son is autistic and was a huge "runner" when he was young.

I'm excited about the whole Ream thing. I know you'll let us know your thoughts about it when it's ready. I'm ready for Q3, I have a lot of ideas and things I want to do!
There is a quote that I printed out and framed for my desk because I kept spinning out of control and driving myself crazy - "DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT." At some point it just needs to be good enough to be finished.
So glad you got to step away for a vacation - although you’ve had some rough spots during the trip you still managed to stay positive; you are always an inspiration for me. For July my goal is to simply write every day. If that’s one word or one minute = that’s OK. 👍🏻 just finished printing the July notebook- thank you Sarra!
I'm working on my outline for my first book. I've gotten a lot done the last few days in a new 5 subject notebook and I'm happy with it so far. You and Abbie Emmons have made me feel like I can do it. I've been writing since I was 11 and as much as I have doubts over my own talent, but I'm becoming much more confident with it.
So thankful that Andrew is safe and sound, how scary! I love your July goals, and can't wait for my signed TDOVS! Safe travels to the whole family that y'all get home happy and healthy ❤
I can’t wait to hear more about launching your Ream and how you are organizing your tiers! I’ve been excited and a little overwhelmed at the idea of starting a Ream because it seems like a huge commitment to add onto the regularly scheduled book publishing of being an indie author.
Can't for Q3 to start. I'm planning on releasing my first self-published book at the end of the quarter, with what I've learned from P&T. Gotta finish it first. Maybe Camp NaNo will get me there. That's the plan!

I would love the iPad, lol. I used to have one but it broke. I still have the Apple Pencil. You must have felt so scared for Andrew! I am glad that everything turned out well.
The iPad really is amazing, so highly recommend it but I just am realizing more and more how much I enjoy having everything in one main eco system. I'll probably just trade it back to Apple for credit to save up for when they release a new iMac. I need that for book formatting so that's the plan right now.

So excited it's the start of Summer vacation and I'm looking forward to writing.
Sounds like a vacation to remember, for sure. Can't wait to get home and print the resources for camp. I will be doing a series of 5 short romance stories (80 pg each) for camp 🏕 which i have wanted to finish FOREVER so i can get onto my new ideas after camp, a witchy series and then trying my hand with some horror ideas I've had rattling around in my head. Excited! So happy you will be done with Vanessa and onto the new fun project phase of writing, too. Always love that part ❤
Oh Sarra! I’m so sorry about the challenges on your vacation!! But I’m so glad you guys are doing great and you’re gearing up for an amazing Camp Nano month in July, woohoo!!! I’m excited for all I’m working on in July, as well, with your 6M4L plan supporting me the whole way. June has been so great with habit building and productivity already and I’m so grateful! Totally forgot it was Camp time. Working on the outline for Book 1 of a series I thought was one book that already wrote "The End" for. 🤦♀️
I am not participating in camp nano this July. I am moving mid month so I will be packing and unpacking. Sorry to hear your credit card was stolen and your son went missing for a few hours. That said, you look happy to be by a beach again. You have an internal glow. Have fun.

So, I am writing as your talking along in your video. I am sooo excited to hear your Shadow series is going to be auditable. My life is so busy, it's the best way I can listen to books as I am on my hour walk each day.

Do you have tips on writing a mystery? Or changing your genre? I went from urban supernatural (with no mystery)... To wanting to write a series type from Arthur Doyle, Sherlock Holmes...

Glad he is safe and can't wait for the streams. Since this will be my first camp this year and I missed november nano due to moving. During last preptober I had fully outlined so half the work is done right? haha! Look forward to July 2024 Camp NaNoWriMo writing retreat!
