Damn Woody it looks soooooooo good man!, wasn't super convinced on the engine paint originally but it ties in so perfectly it really fits and looks factory 👌 im a huge fan of OEM Plus, keeping it stock / factory looking but making all the jam! 😊
I'm Simple, when I see Turbo Yoda holding a turbo that's bigger than his head, I don't hesitate to click. Any day that The Skid Factory uploads is a good day. ❤ 👌
looks mint!!!! handy little prep tool for annoying spots is a miltitool with small sanding pad attachment gets those tight spots and saves the hand sanding because who wants to do that shit
Hi Al and Woody, If you can find an AN safety bolt with the rating you require for the flex plate, you can safety wire the bolts just like an Aircraft would have for the propeller. Bolts at your strength range exist, and all that’s left is learning to safety wire. Love the channel, thanks for the great content.
I didn't notice until right at the end the rocker cover is the other car colour. Once I noticed that the car just made sense, love it! Makes me wanna buy a wagon and put a barra in it. Awesome build, great work Woody!
Love the new leaky toilet T-shirt!! Certainly tickled the old funny bone. Great work on the old girl. A really nicely sorted old Crown. Gonna be mint when finished 😊
I love Toyota Crowns. I owned 3 when I was in my mid 20s in the early 2000s. I loved the 1970s models....mainly for their look. I had a '76 and 2 '78 models. First real work i ever did on a car was fully recondition the 6 cyl Toyota donk in the '78 crown. Amazing vehicle. So comfortable....sooooo well made. It had extras that I didn't see become common in other cars until the early 2000s. I just loved the lines as well. They were a beautiful car and still are. I was told that you could drop a 6 cyl from a Ford or Holden in it without too much drama....that was a bit beyond my abilities at the time (I only had a Haines manual for a Cressida, that had the same engine as the Crowns....no RUclips back then to help me out lol). If I could find another 78 model crown in half decent condition, id buy it in one second flat. I've driven other luxury cars from the same era and the Crown was simply better in every respect. I miss them big time...so this warms my cold dead heart 😁
Awesome work boys been watching News for ages. I think I’ve been watching you since you started your channel with money car mods been watching you ever since
Hi great work ,for the power steer pump use a Kelpro none swivel high pressure line it fits straight into the stupid swivel fitting but locks in position and 100% does not leak.
This is coming on real nice 😎 for the flex plate to crank, you could drill additional holes in the flex plate and use sturdy tab washers with a hex head bolt to stop them moving.
Like always, great content from Al and Woody. Potentially aerospace 12 point bolts with lock-wire holes could be a solution for the flex-plate bolts coming loose.
😂😂 im a little over barras but to see woodie chomping at the bit to go cruising with the homies is worth it.. and like always it looks good like it was ment to be there👍 fricking nice work lads
I believe it takes 1.5 the tightened torque for them to come loose. I remember when I worked on oil rig equipment, bolts installed with notes was the only ones not requiring safety wire.
Top tip. FGX power steering pump, as from factory will leak out of where the hose goes into the reservoir in the swivelly bit, and give the alternator a lovely slow bath. Ask me how I know....
this things starting looking as good as a trailer queen. thank god it won't be. can't wait to see giving it some stick and you having a ball in this one. cheers to all for such a great builds and letting us all come along.
Yes, as a rule of thumb, the engine cranks off the battery, but the car runs off the alternator, so taking the power for the vehicle from the latter is a sound move - especially as the alt' battery/starter cable is usually a heavy gauge, anyway, on modern vehicles because of the high alt' current potential. I also agree about the over-use of the word "billet", when "machined" is often a better term.
Could you use aerospace bolts on that flex plate? Torque them and use the lockwire to lock them to each other. Little overkill, but on this case maybe necessary if it's recurring problem on those barras.

🤣 Loved the ending, caught red handed with evidence. Just think of it as Al's signature on the cam cover
Seems like we should probably get that apology on video now, Al....... 🤓
Was great. Got to love the slow motion repetition, just driving it into his brain lol.
I love how Al gets so excited/energized by explaining simple things that are easily overlooked that can make your life a whole lot easier.
The stich up at the end its fricken hilarious
Great to see woody with a mad smile. Excellent info lads!
Damn Woody it looks soooooooo good man!, wasn't super convinced on the engine paint originally but it ties in so perfectly it really fits and looks factory 👌 im a huge fan of OEM Plus, keeping it stock / factory looking but making all the jam! 😊
it always makes me happy to see how Al has gotten so confident in front of the camera. Always great work!
its wild watching woody become more confident and skilled over the years, good job mate.
A tonne of work in this build. Gonna be a great result
I could listen to Al talk cars all day 😊
Awesome job boys. Hope to see you cruisin the coast soon.
Keen mate! I’ll be driving the shit outta this once it’s done

I especially love how the fresh paint brings out the hammer marks in the firewall.
the quality thing that gives pleasure to the senses and pleasurably exalts the mind and spirit
looks mint!!!! handy little prep tool for annoying spots is a miltitool with small sanding pad attachment gets those tight spots and saves the hand sanding because who wants to do that shit
Still the best channel on RUclips and I was here right from the very first MCM days so I'm including them in that
What a sweet, SUPER clean build. I love the Champagne valve cover. An engine bay of distinction. Can't wait to see it in action!
A tonne of work in this build. Gonna be a great result. I could listen to Al talk cars all day .
Great episode, full support!

Good on ya Woody! Really happy for you. Always so exciting when a project fires up for the first time.
This car has come up so sweet, looks mint, well done
my fav builds are the crown builds as they are your own dream type builds
Looks and sounds the business
Awesome to see. Congratulations woody
always done right
I didn't notice until right at the end the rocker cover is the other car colour. Once I noticed that the car just made sense, love it! Makes me wanna buy a wagon and put a barra in it. Awesome build, great work Woody!
Sick beats! Also love the work y'all are doing.
Not sure why but I found it pretty satisfying when Al slapped the gearbox.
Love the new leaky toilet T-shirt!! Certainly tickled the old funny bone. Great work on the old girl. A really nicely sorted old Crown. Gonna be mint when finished 😊
Awesome project. That scratch will be worth millions one day!! Also, ROGER!!! He's gotten so big.
Congrats Woody. Looking good!
Cheers, Sev

Good bolt access, A plus!
Looks better with the chip anyway!
More runs than Davie Warner's last ashes!
Good job Woody, looks awesome 👍
Sweet ride Woody. Looking forward to the cruise eps in it. Thanks guys

Awesome work boys been watching News for ages. I think I’ve been watching you since you started your channel with money car mods been watching you ever since
Hay woody, the master can make a mistake. So you don't need to get mad. Love the the job you guys do, keep up the great work you guys do.
Al's knowledge is always helpful!
Grab yourself a mackielec flexplate retainer kit. Highly recommend his kit with the arp bolt kit.
Love your vids guys. My fav channel on the tubes
OEM+ builds are my absolute favorite.
Awesome job lads, nice ride Woody.
Awesome build, looking real tidy. Personally woulda loved to see it manual, but cool none the less!

Great to see that you finally started to utilize turbo speed sensor - they make a big change in how you tune the engine
Maybe Nord-Lock washers could help with the flex plate bolts? As far as I know, they are specifically designed for vibrating environments.
It looks really good guys, I’m stoked to see it on the road soon
Epic build guys, it truly is a masterpiece. love the show.
Like always, great content from Al and Woody. Potentially aerospace 12 point bolts with lock-wire holes could be a solution for the flex-plate bolts coming loose.
Great work and very informative as usual
😂😂 im a little over barras but to see woodie chomping at the bit to go cruising with the homies is worth it.. and like always it looks good like it was ment to be there👍 fricking nice work lads
Nordlock washers will stop any bolt from coming undone. i'm surprised more people don't use them. they're costly but bulletproof.
I believe it takes 1.5 the tightened torque for them to come loose. I remember when I worked on oil rig equipment, bolts installed with notes was the only ones not requiring safety wire.
I use them on exhaust manifold studs. Failproof and a fraction of the cost of titanium
Bloody love you legend's! Keep on keeping on! 🎉😂❤
Great work as ever guys 👍🏻 enjoying this build
that sounds mint,bro !🎉
Great job fellas. Engine bay looks sweet. Loved the reveal shot! 😂
Top tip. FGX power steering pump, as from factory will leak out of where the hose goes into the reservoir in the swivelly bit, and give the alternator a lovely slow bath. Ask me how I know....
This thing is mint.
Jam 2 o'rings on the power steering res
We did.
Great engine bay refresh
Love that Barra Bass! Hope the "after show" isn't bad news!
Appreciate the content guys👌👍
this things starting looking as good as a trailer queen. thank god it won't be. can't wait to see giving it some stick and you having a ball in this one. cheers to all for such a great builds and letting us all come along.

Stoked for you Woody!👍
Yr boys videos are the best you deserve 1miillon subscribers can't wait to see a massive skid
I love the wheelie bin bench
Roger is a gorgeous Ridgey!
I had a Ridgeback years ago - his name was Zacker - after the old capital of Rhodesia!
Sounds beastly and that ending haha what a crack up
This car is gonna be so rad I love it
Good bolt access. A+
Love it!
Dam, impressive build right there. 👍
That idle sounded promising.
Also another way to make sure the flex plate bolts dont rattle loose is using mackielec industries bolt retainer plate 🙂
Could you safety wire them like they do on aircraft?
Yes, as a rule of thumb, the engine cranks off the battery, but the car runs off the alternator, so taking the power for the vehicle from the latter is a sound move - especially as the alt' battery/starter cable is usually a heavy gauge, anyway, on modern vehicles because of the high alt' current potential.

That Barra sounds flat nasty. And that's just at idle. Ooooooh boy.
Ripper episode fellas 👌 Killing it on the edits Woody always a pleasure to watch, Thanks
Such a cool build. Love seeing the old cars get new heart transplants 🍺
Very cool build.
Mungy protective film left on torque wrench display!? TRIGGERED!
Nice work!
Looking forward to your first EV build/ swap ⚡👌
Lumpin out!!
Could you use aerospace bolts on that flex plate? Torque them and use the lockwire to lock them to each other. Little overkill, but on this case maybe necessary if it's recurring problem on those barras.
Good times nicely done 👍
great vid guys as usual quality work.roger ridgeback looked bored.
That engine bay is lookin schmico 👌
Its a weapon boys well done
Is it possible to wire lock the flex plate bolts? Would require drilled fasteners but I'd trust that before loctite.
