What?! I disagree! I love the new $100 bill! It's honestly quite beautiful. Everything about it stands out compared to the previous one. The writing, the addition of the golden bell, the better contrast in brightness of the bill overall, Benjamin himself standing out even more so and the pretty little blue strip in the middle to further make this bill stand out and give off a feeling of "importance" & "uniqueness" compared to all other United States dollar bills -- given that this is the highest denomination of bills out in circulation at the moment, of course. Love it so much. A much needed upgrade to such an iconic and high value bill that is the $100 bill! :D

I have been checking serial #'s for a while now and never worked in a bank. I was a cashier. I do have a question on mis-cuts. Hopefully you have something on them as well. As far as collectors go you have been the most helpful! Not wasting too much time on things the "average" collector may not have any knowledge of like grading. Alot of collectors spit out all these letters and #'s colors and so forth, when the average joe may just want to know how to tell the value or where to go to find out. So THANK YOU GREATLY!
If the old $100 bills are still accepted why would counterfeiters bother with changing their plates?

I found a 1928 hundred dollar bill at a post office once, i still have it cause it was the year my dad was born.
The other secret design on the bill is the 100 in certain positions under the serial number is a star constellation and its the code that photocopiers detect and this is what stops the copiers from printing the note

Counterfeiters don't need to come up with a new design. Since every $100 can be circulated that means counterfeiters don't necessary need to make a new print.

You are correct about the esoteric value place upon numerical sequence in the serial number? You have done a great job in listing the myriad of potential value adding combinations. But, the most primary consideration is the condition of the banknote. That can affect value exponentially in both directions up and down.

The old bills are so easy to counterfeit. Its become so bad that i dont even accept old 100$ bills. If you try to go to Walgreens and pay with an old 100$ they will refuse it because their counterfeiting machine declines the bill and recognizes it as a counterfeit bill. Even though its a legitimate note. They scared the shit out of me a few times where i had previously cashed out some money at UsBank and went to walgreens and they dont want to accept it because their machine wont accept it. So i went back to US Bank and told them, they said Walgreens is full of shit and the machine they use declines old bills. They were nice enough to exchange the $100 bills to newer ones. My advice to everyone, use 20$, bills and dont let anyone pay you with old $100 bills not even your bank.

In Asia they don’t accept those old $100 and $20 bills anymore because in Asia those counterfeiters can copping those old $100 and $20 bills very easily.

I have a crispy new $10 bill with 10446958 in its serial number. The "10" is obvious, and "44", "69", and "58" are the ASCII hexadecimal codes for 'D', 'i', and 'X'. "Dix" means "ten" in French. And 'X' is ten in Roman numerals. I only wish the middle letter was an uppercase ASCII 'i', which is 49(hex), but "DIX" is 509 in Roman numerals.

Those are both "new" bills. The old ones have Ben centered and in a much smaller portrait.
There are even older portraits of Ben on the larger old notes.

shortly after these came out I heard that they are filled with metals, and when stored in large quantities they can be viewed/found/located by satellite....I never found out if this was true,however I know we can find metals by satellite, and I know there's metal in the bills...I'd say it's plausible

You can go to your bank and ask them send off $2 bills with the serial like that they come in $100 packs, so it's easy to get them with serial #s that run like that just ask your bank.

USCurrency.gov explains the history of the notes in the US. The US notes are old, and were phased out by the Fed Reserve notes, but both are still legal tender. Probably worth more than $2 to a real collector.
