Robert D: That does seem to be the trend these days in passenger-view flight videos! At least this video preserves AOA during takeoff so it feels like taking off in a plane, not lifting off the ground in a $200million elevator, lol!
All that power, all that thrust, all that speed, the beautiful wings providing lift...a true "modern marvel." We're totally "spoiled" ...compared to times from the past.
PETER ZARI it’s always funnier at a small airport (Wichita, Bloomington (IL), etc.) when all the flights are leaving at the same time, and you’re 4th in line for departure.
Wow, that was fantastic. I realise it was a long taxi, but it was worth it in 'the long run' ... to coin a phrase. Those engines were so awesome ... even my iMac was vibrating. Did the engine noise subside as the flight continued? I really must fly a T7 one day. Thanks for sharing.
I saw several birds on the green patches there. Apparently bird control is not working as well as it should. Considering how little surface is covered by lawn, I'm wondering why they don't just pave those areas, too. (Theories: 1) Money. - 2) Visual helpers? - On the other hand, they have different tarmac colors, and then they wouldn't have to mow the grass. 3) To allow water into the ground, although, again, there are other means for that.) That airport size is insane, seeing three planes queuing for takeoff on the same runway. Definitely a wholly different challenge for ATCs and pilots than on small airports.
Such a heavy aircraft, Boeing should consider upgrading the 777 engines to a much larger ones, even though the ge90 and the Rolls-Royce's engines are very powerful, the airplane still looks like it is doing a lot of effort to lift all that heavy weight, the Airbus a340 is almost the same size and it utilizes four engines. The ge90 engines from General Electric new design are much larger however they reduced the size of the compressors. this will allow the aircraft to utilize less fuel, on the other hand, this change does not make much of a difference in terms of power
I couldn't deal with that deep drone of those engines for 7+hrs. Much less my current trip i'm about to take to Tokyo for 13hrs...!!! I think i'll pick the 787 any day over this. It's appreciable when your watching it from the outside and hearing it. But not inside for DAMN sure...!!!
Some years ago I got the chance to jumpseat an MD-11.. we also took off on 22R but much shorter taxi.. Finnair's then-terminal must have been in a better location
Wonder if the vapour cloud that came up in the engine intake during takeoff was due to water injection for thrust augmenting or was simple condensation of the air at low intake pressure ?
you are indeed correct. The front end of a jet engine creates incredible low pressure because of the sucking power. If there is sufficient humidity in the air, you will see condensation
water injection is not really used anymore as modern jet engines are way more powerful than they used to be. No need for the added weight of the extra water
More like pneumatic bleeders used to prevent icing of the engine and front edge of the wings, also used for cabin pressurization as well as other systems like ac and pneumatics
You should be right on that one because if you look at this www.pprune.org/tech-log/444991-american-twins-brit-triple-spool-engines-2.html the American Airlines & Delta with the Trent 895 consumes more fuel on idle mode while an United Airlines B777-222/er or Korean Air B777-2B5/er lowest idle fuel consumption while their B777-224/er (Oneworld JL B777-246/er GE 90-94B but SkyTeam B777-228/er & B777-206/er) is between the B777-2D7/er thai airways Trent 895 (Highest idle fuel) NH & OZ B777 PW4090
20:45 take off
gibbyh65 thank you
I will thank you later...
Thank for not wasting my time
gibbyh65 thanks
gibbyh65 thanks for helping me skip the rest
I love the deep rumble that trents make when you leave the ground at full throttle its fantastic.
That beautiful BUZZ of the engines!! It's unforgettable! Those beautiful beating harmonics can put me to sleep during the climb.
Oh my god. That spool up sound on takeoff is soooo good *-*
I got chills from that engine sound 🤤😅
I love the sound of those engines
This reminds me why I love planes. That sound on takeoff is
just awesome !
Yeah and all that power too
The 777-300ER has the best engine sound
xboxgamer except this isn't a 300
200ER with RR engines
xboxgamer Most American Carriers don't use the -300er.
not most, none except American airlines, but soon United
It has nice sound but comparing with A350 XWB I say sorry.
Sounds like my fridge
sounds like my washing machine
Haha
Sounds like my microwave
Como va a ser
You must have a cool fridge
20 + minutes of taxing. 4 + in flight time.
It's called foreplay!
Yeah, airplane travel is definitely not as time efficient as one could imagine it, especially with large airports.
Robert Dambeck Aww stop complaining. It takes that long to get to the runway. Also, we get a look at other planes, which is why I watch these videos,
Have you ever been to this airfield?? It's huge!
Robert D: That does seem to be the trend these days in passenger-view flight videos! At least this video preserves AOA during takeoff so it feels like taking off in a plane, not lifting off the ground in a $200million elevator, lol!
That engine roar is amazing!
All that power, all that thrust, all that speed, the beautiful wings providing lift...a true "modern marvel." We're totally "spoiled" ...compared to times from the past.
15:30 That delta guy's nose is past the hold short line....
Oh no!
I’m in love 😍 with the engine that I literally wanna take it and go home 🤤🤤
You can have one for the measley price of roughly 24million USD.
@@warptek 🤣Even a Wife is expencive
The best engine ever !!!!!
Four British Airways aircraft a taste of London Heathrow in New York!
Six* lol
I must admit the B777 200ER sounds better then the 300ER
I agree that the BOEING 777-300ER Engines are just Awesome That sound is like music to my ears when this JET in Accelerating down the runway.
Thanks Andreag00, 777-200ER it is.
Awesome takeoff! It's better to see it takeoff on the outside. You hear the doppler effect, and the roar of the engine.
777 IS A FUCKIN BEAST! FAVORITE OVER ANYTHING OUT THERE!
Gosh I’ll never forget the one time we were lined up at JFK, and the Captain says we were 30TH FOR DEPARTURE!!
PETER ZARI it’s always funnier at a small airport (Wichita, Bloomington (IL), etc.) when all the flights are leaving at the same time, and you’re 4th in line for departure.
You never know how big those engines are until you stand next to one!
Wow, that was fantastic. I realise it was a long taxi, but it was worth it in 'the long run' ... to coin a phrase. Those engines were so awesome ... even my iMac was vibrating. Did the engine noise subside as the flight continued? I really must fly a T7 one day. Thanks for sharing.
woow that takeoff sound
Looks like it was a bit humid that day judging by the inlet fogging right after the engine spooled up to takeoff power. Nice view!!
Ah yes engines so powerful they create their own weather :))
As much as I love the GE-90's, the Trent engine do have the best sound!
CaptainMum too quiet for me
Lol, sure the Trents are "quiet"
dirtbloxxMC they're not as noisy😂. I love noisy take off
not for startup
CaptainMum So true
Such a clean looking aircraft!!
ACH TA PRĘDKOŚĆ PRZY STARCIE,I OD RAZU NAD WODAMI I CHMURKAMI 👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌☝☝☝UWIELBIAM TO 😊
RR Trent 892 sound....one of the best....
Aircraft Delivery: December 2001
Oooooo that 777-200 is singin
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Ach ta wspaniała prędkość na starcie,i już jesteśmy w górze, a tam piękne widoki ZAZDROSZCZĘ wrażeń i uwielbiam patrzeć 👏👏👏🤗
Great video and what a stunning sound but hell, that was the longest taxi in history.
20:46 what you're looking for
That thrust decrease as it about to bank 😍
That was fantastic!👍
Number 19 blade on the third stage of the fan has got a nick in it.
That sounds remind me to Malaysia Airlines Boeing B777-200ER aircraft.
Epic Video,Big Like,You have some of the best onboard vids on youtube!!!!!!
Sooo many 747's over at World Port. Such a shame they're almost all gone now. :(
Facts I used to see alot of 747 British at JFK and when I passed by last month they were just 777 ;-;
I like this sounds
Wow! Great view and AMAZING Sound quality ;) Liked!
The video starts @20:45
Effortlessly into the air.
I saw several birds on the green patches there. Apparently bird control is not working as well as it should. Wonderful !!!
Daaaaaang, what a buzzsaw! Definitely my favorite engine on the 777 series.
PETER ZARI oh yeah definitely, that one has fantastic buzzsaw too!
That sound !!!!!!!
Nice. It was worth the wait. Exceptional camera pan on the most important star....the engine.

Do you even know what you're talking about? The GE90 is the most powerful turbofan engine in the world. Upgrade to what? You must be an Airbus lover.
You have no idea what you're talking about. These engines are fine and I guarantee this was a derated takeoff.
20:45 the best part begins
I couldn't deal with that deep drone of those engines for 7+hrs. Much less my current trip i'm about to take to Tokyo for 13hrs...!!! I think i'll pick the 787 any day over this. It's appreciable when your watching it from the outside and hearing it. But not inside for DAMN sure...!!!
amazing sound
Absolutely magnificent. One of the best.
I love that engine view! Liked!
Fantastic footage!
21 minutes from push back to take off. Beautiful sound those turbines makes!!!
The Trent 800 has a very similar sound to the Trent 700 in my opinion.
This Sounds Awesome! Great Video Dan!
Typical busy JFK gridlock, I personally love it, they make the planes hold short on the runways so the taxiways won't be congested.
Hell of a lot of aircraft out there waiting for something?
More than three on the damn runway.... Wtf!
Every 777-300 (except the 777-300ER) always have a RR Trent 800 like this
and about half of 777-200 series have Trents, the rest PW4000. There arent many ge90s on 200 series, but 300ER all use GE90.
Great video Dan!
FlyCruise Singapore Thanks man!
I don't care if you made this video long,I still loved it!
Thanks Dan, enjoy your videos !
Some years ago I got the chance to jumpseat an MD-11.. we also took off on 22R but much shorter taxi.. Finnair's then-terminal must have been in a better location
Das a big bird !
Excellent!!!!
Beautiful takeoff from Kennedy BTW. Thanks for posting this!
Amazing video!!!
Very interesting an really worth seeing . thanks for your videos. You are one lucky guy to get these up close Aviation scenes.
Wonder if the vapour cloud that came up in the engine intake during takeoff was due to water injection for thrust augmenting or was simple condensation of the air at low intake pressure ?
No expert on this, but I would guess since having seen this every time, even during test runs, I would say condensation due to low pressure ;)
Water injection wouldn't be in the fan area, so yeah the low pressure in the inlet causes condensation
you are indeed correct.
Excellent video as usual
Amazing sound!
Nice flight
Badass engines
awesome!!
20:45 for takeoff.
The sound is soo good though
4:10 required a good bit of %N1 to get going lol
Still coming back for that sound lol
I wonder why those planes were ‘parked’ on runway 13L
Sounds just like a340-600
I've noticed that too. Probably because the engine is Rolls-Royce
can you hear the engine buzz/rattle?
20:36 is where you can start, thank me later.
Which engines do these run? Too quick for GE90
Jamie Lange Rolls Royce Trent 892 I believe
Borning buzzsaw I like ge90 engine sounds better make me cry
Very Very fast
2 Hr flight and a 6 hr taxi
Damn man! Taxi much? 🤣🤣🤜
Luv ur vids
About 20 minutes taxi, classic JFK
I remember waiting an hour once to takeoff at JFK many years ago
Why are the planes stopped on the Runway?
That’s a taxiway. It’s like a roadway that gets the aircraft from the terminal to the actual runway.
This was Rolls-Royce Trent Engines. I prefer the GE90 Engines better
Why in the WORLD are there more than three aircraft holding on the damn runway?! Like, can someone please tell me
Another amazing clip, having a great sub woofer helps, ahhhhhhh that growl!
Nice Video man, look how many British Airways planes use Terminal 7 at JFK
HaaHaa HeeHee-Aviation Fan a lot
That’s what my GE washin’ machine sounded like before the motor burnt up.
