    GOOD GRIEF! I am so glad I found this! First of all, love this guy. He explains every single step, shows all the ingredients and also shows us exactly how he is putting it all together. He doesn't rush at all. Makes it easy to follow along. My mouth was watering, just watching that. He did a fantastic job. Thank you for sharing this with us. I know those grits were absolutely a whole other level of delicious! Thumbs up. I'm subscribing. :-) Beth

    • @CreoleLadyBug
      @CreoleLadyBug 5 лет назад +2

      +Smokin' & Grillin' wit AB ~ Peas for the presentation. You’ll have 3 colors. Plus the peas pair well with the grits. Grits are made of ground corn kernels. We don’t need two corns. Y’all don’t know nothing about Southern food in California. All we use is salt and pepper and butter here because that’s all we had. Grits don’t need all that. Grits is like some good old fashioned loving. They don’t need all that extra❣️

    I found a 5-pound bag of grits for under $5 at the local grocer. Inflation has been hitting hard, so 60 servings for under 10 cents seemed like a bargain. My mother made grits for breakfast and dinner, so I remember that they can be creamy, sweet, or savory. Mom passed in April this year (at 94 Bless her) and I had lost how to make these raw grits until I found your video. Thank you so much.

      Actually. I am in NJ but grew up in Philly where fried scrapple is a breakfast staple.
      Some folks don't like it. LOL
      It now comes in Turkey and beef. As a kid. I think it was just pork.
      We still enjoy it.

    I was curious if I could find some actual authentic restaurant style grits on RUclips and this is the closest I have found. Your recipe is pretty much dead on for restaurant grits. And I’m not talking about like waffle house or IHOP I mean those fancy southern places where people absolutely love the grits and have no idea why they are so damn good. Great recipe.
