One more thing. Today I discovered the driver's vents were red hot even after I turned the AC to 60. The Passengers side was ice cold but the drivers side was still hot. Was this the case with yours?
I see no one has provided the part number for that specific actuator on the driver side. However, several people have reported success on replacing it, so please provide the part number of the blend actuator. Parts manual is very confusing and has two actuators on that side that looks similar
So are there 2 actuators one for the driver side and one for the passenger side? My 2017 sportage stays hot on the driver side but the passenger stays cold with maybe a little bit of change..

Yes, the passenger-side one is a lot tougher to access and replace. The code for that is B241577
