totally agree. Part of the reason I think was they got played in the draft, when 5 linemen came off the board, right before they selected Polk. Even then they should have taken Zach Frazier, who likes he will be a tremendous center.

Because three years ago when the pats had a ton of money-Mac Jones rookie year-Belifraud went out and over paid bust Agholor, over paid two tight ends because he said "well if I'm told to spend I'll get both" and Smith was a horrific bust, Henry did work out, but is only still here because BB is no longer GM and would have let him walk. They paid Judon, worth it other than the last two years of contract whining and injury, so....my point is when Kraft said spend, Beliprick was pissed. They offered Ridley 22 million-and I think it was only 12 they offered Hopkins a couple years ago, and they were in the upper twenties for Ayuk.
Now, tell me-seriously-who was out there that was worth spending huge money on, for a year that you're rebuilding? I'd see your point if they were a piece of two away from a playoff chance, but they're a half a team away so....maybe the plan is to have more money next year when there is a better free agent class because in this year, resigning Owenu was pretty much the best guy out there.
But to be fair, I'm sure there were some O-line out there they could have signed for mid money that could have helped. But the cheap thing was Belicreeps ego. He wanted no stars, he wanted meh players so he could claim he coached them up. I'm fine with this year sucking just to not see his miserable over rated face. Now next year if this keeps up, I will be 100% in your corner.

He ruined Mac Jones on purpose, destroyed the offense on purpose(he drafted two kickers last year) was mad he had to hire an actual offensive coordinator so left him with nothing to work with, Mayo was never allowed to be DC because he had his mullet wearing tooth sucking useless kid out there holding daddy's clip board, he made no trades at the deadline last year on purpose to not give the new guy any draft capital, and didn't care about coaching at all the last two years. He also cheated on his wife and cheated on Linda with a girl who could be his grand daughter but most of all he is an over rated POS who owed everything to Brady and the last four years proved that to everyone. You buy into that crap he didn't get a job because of Kraft? He didn't get a job because every owner in the league saw what an arrogant tool he was and how he couldn't win without Brady, just like he never won before Brady. That's the tip. I could go on for an hour about the things that disgrace did that cost this team and players personally.

Love that Maine flag in the background. I’m from Maine but lived for many years in Massachusetts in fact owned a home in Foxborough not far from the stadium. The opposing team buses when past my house. I moved in 2019 to Virginia and last year to North Carolina but still a devoted Pats Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics fan, also Maine Black Bears!
Imagine a NE O-line where players played the position they are most comfortable playing, instead of being juggled around into a role they barely or never played before. The fault falls on Wolf and whoever is in charge of playing musical chairs with this OL. I can't blame Chuks for not wanting to be part of this. No top-notch QB or WR1 is gonna fix this Offense. You can't run an Offense when the opposing D walks through NE's OL.
They should return everyone to their natural positions and use an extra lineman to assist on whichever side needs the help for each play. Maybe then they could start operating an offense.
Knowledgable football folks know teams have to be built from inside out.
WR #1 does nothing for this iteration of Patriots. QB has less than 2 seconds to release the ball and protect himself.
I didn’t understand the craze for a WR either. It kinda feels like they were listening to all the so called football journalists saying we needed WRs. But you have to go back to Jerods introductory press conference of weaponizing the offense. O linemen can be weapons too. They have to back the defense off by spreading them out and attacking them. The TEs and the backs need to help with chipping those edge rushers. The interior line has to watch out for those T E stunts and those blitzers rushing from LB depth. The qb has to see those safeties coming down to the LOS right before the snap blitzing as well. It’s a lot going on, it’s not just the poor play of the line

Patchwork o-lines never work. Somewhere, somehow, they gotta get a left tackle. If they don't, its gonna be a long season. Brissett was getting hit, before he even finished his drop back. A lot! How are these young receivers gonna show what they can do if the QB has no pocket to throw from? He's running for his life on every pass play.

There going to play the best they got , the healthiest they have . Personally I think there going to have to pivot and spread defenses out . Let the backs or tight ends pick up the 5th rusher.

Besides that, I don't know how long you've been following NE, but Milton is the next Rohan Davies, Michael Bishop, and even the kid from last year-can't recall his name-everyone was excited about because he ran for a TD in preseason. All these guys somehow get people excited and none of them pan out. They are not putting a sixth round pick in the game before they put Maye out there.
If they're that afraid for Maye they'll find a vet to come in for a few games.

I say, don't trade away your future to get 2 extra wins in the regular season. The only exceptions would be to get enough of a band-aid to the offensive line to prevent injuries at the QB position.
I commented on the last video. It all starts from the line. We need to draft lineman with our first three picks and look for talent in free agency but do not put Drake May out there. We seen what happens. Bryce young, Justin Fields I could keep going on and on
Mayo has so many pluses that the few weaknesses that have been exposed, will slowly but surely become one of the team's strong suit. Drake Maye will have everything he needs which absolutely includes building an O line the best in the business.
