Starting Drake Maye is the very thing NOT to do. With a crappy offense line, Maye will get pummeled. And worst, in trying to “do” something, in desperation, he’ll heave the ball up and get intercepted, or hold it to long hoping in all futility SOMEONE will spring open. But the patriots receivers do NOT spring open. They’re the worse in the league. All that is a recipe for a strip sack or an interception or a mauling. All of that would undoubtedly stunt the rookie quarterbacks development. Jakoby Brissett, in all he has endured, has NOT turned the ball over under that pressure. He’s a pro.
