You're completely right, our WR's are going to be surprising some people and turning heads this year. ESPECIALLY when the rookie take over the reins. Probably not so much with Brissett starting out, but look out when Maye takes over!!!!

I was scared when I saw bad news I thought one of our Corners was out that would be much worse. The offensive line rule is a long time coming tackles have been lining up in the backfield for years
I'm surprised OTs aren't called for kicking back into pass protection 1/2 a second before the snap. I see a LOT of tackles do this. I'm wondering if that will be called more this season or not, since they seem to be cracking down on the O line.

Sorry to ask a rookie question here. Surprise: I am a Patriots fan. I am not just a pro football fan. I am a pre-Plunkett Patriots fan. I live in rural Virginia. In the "good years" the CBS station would frequently carry the Pats but that is no longer the case. How can I get the Pats games? I have NO interest in subscribing to all the NFL teams. Is it possible to just subscribe to the Pats games? I tried VPNing to Germany and streaming but only with limited success. Yes, ESPN's gamecast is there and I would even like radio coverage. None of my VPNs are in New England. Any help.

JaMycal Hastey looked great in pre season. If he gets a chance, he may surprise people.
I think that the WR room is better than the league thinks. I agree that Pops is great, but vulnerable due to his size. I think that Polk is a sure handed receiver who is going to have a long career. Hope that Thorton can be what he was drafted for.
I'm very pleased that they held on to Butte. I believe that Kayshon Boutte could be a star in this league. I doubt that the Pats would have made the trade for KJ if they knew that Boutte was going to be around.
I do believe that these wide receivers for the Patriots will supersede the general expectations. I also believe they should be working every one of them into the game. I want to see Boutte and Baker get some play as well.
With Baker, I believe he may be the type of player that is a gamer. Preseason is practice and in practice, you are working on stuff like technique, routes, and more. In the actual game I think you just play and let it rip. In the game, there is less thinking and more reacting and letting your ability take over. Knowing that each play is important forces you to play even better.
As for Boutte, I think he was never given a proper chance last year. The play everyone gets upset over, he was trying to get his feet down but was shoved in the back. That's not his fault, plus the ball could have gotten to him a little faster. With his pedigree you need to give him a shot.
I think by mid season people are talking about the Patriot wide receivers like we now talk about the Green Bay receivers. Of course the offensive line will need to be better than expected too.
Brissette is going to end up holding the ball to long and take big hits. And not because he has a slow release... But all our QBs won't have much time. Defenses are gunning for all patriots QBs. The good thing about Maye coming in. When he does. He has a great quick release and watching him in preseason. He understands the importance of the hot routes available. Brissette just looks like he wants to make bigger plays.
