Brother in christ really said that card was "essentially free" to him because he paid for it with the profits from selling other cards... lol.
Nice cash-out! A good time to have cash in the hobby and it will give you a lot of opportunities to pick up new inventory where cash is currently king. Keep up making the quality content.
Thanks for the support! I definitely agree with the state of the market, having cash readily available is an amazing spot to be in!
Living in the junk slab era. A lot of those cards should not of been graded.
General statement not toward you. Confused why folks get stuff graded at a loss lol
I definitely agree. During the pandemic when the card industry blew up, everyone was sending cards in. I don't even want to talk about the Pokemon card slabs I've seen...
It’s kind of like a pawn shop of cards. The difference being it’s a constantly changing market. People who bought before the boom are okay with 65-80%. Some aren’t so lucky and just need fast cash and accept a loss. That’s the way it is!
You're right on the button!
Good information 👍🏾 👌🏾
Thanks, hopefully we were able to provide insight and information that was not already known.
Hopefully y’all haven’t been wearing masks for 3 years!! If’s safe now go ahead and breathe
good explanation on why you did what you did. i like details and i get it
Thanks for the support! We try to be upfront and honest about our thought process.
This comment section toxic bro lol ultimately you know why you did what you did. I sell on eBay and sure I make full “comps” off stuff. But listing each card then making sure I package everything correctly then driving to the post office. Dealing with returns or people claiming they didn’t get their package is a pain lol not to mention taxes and fees in the end you are literally making 75-80 percent of what you sell it for on eBay. 😂 it’s nice to go to a store take a bunch of slabs and make some cash.
yep. i been selling on ebay for 20 years. eBay is in a bad place. they begged me to sign a petition against Biden and his 600... they know they about to lose over a billion
I agree with you. I sell on ebay but was a hassle so I ended up opening my own store that has cheap rent.
@Mason in the Mid yeah that's a very common percentage
@Mason in the Mid well cards shops have to stay in business and that’s how they do it.
Now sometimes prices change and they lose money.
In some cases they double or triple there money but it’s always a gamble
LOSES $50 on GOLD CARD and CALLS IT A WASH? YOU LOOK AT PROFIT DIFFERENTLY
You got cash money on the spot.
Indeed indeed. Cash is always king 👑 !
Sweet...👍😎
Digging the keychain. Squirtle Squad 4Life.
Squirtle Squad all day, everyday! :D
man that was sick cashing out! keep up the good work bud! see you at the shows!
Ha ha! Honestly wasn't expecting them to cash me out for that amount, but I'm definitely not complaining! I'm sure I'll be seeing you very soon!
Thanks for the video :)
Thanks for the support!
Great info. Thanks!
when i started collecting again at the start of 2021 i planned to sell whatever my best cards may be & see if they would be any suprises at least within every 6 months-1 year but lockdown ended all that. now we are halfway through & have pull lot more of cards that i could sell along with the ones last year i was planning to go to the card show next week but unfortunately i won't be able to go & i hear there should be another in one in september so fingers crossed if not then ill just go to one of the stores i go too & sell it to them maybe near the end of the year.
There must be some sort of “sports card vlog” soundtrack.
All I can say is good quality copyright free music for youtube videos are definitely hard to come by!
Oh , it’s groovy, just noticed a consistency. Great vid!!
very interesting. Great video. Personally, I strictly only sell to end-users and never to people who are in it only for flipping cards. I go through too much trouble and hard work to find the cards that I buy only let someone else profit out of my hard work.
Definitely understandable. We buy to sell to end-users as well through our Ebay store, but sometimes its worth more to move some stale inventory that isn't selling or taking a little less profit now to have more cash readily available.
Don't you lose $$$ given to cost to grade?
Great question. We rarely pay to get cards graded. All of the cards that we sold to Burbank we bought from the shows we go to.
Lose on 2 to gain on the rest, still solid
Definitely agree, the object isn't to get them all right, but to be more right than wrong >_
Anytime you want to unload those Herbert slabs I’m your guy I’ll give over 65%
All of inventory is listed on Ebay marked down at the lowest priced on the market. It's only in rare cases that we will liquidate old stale inventory.
Cool. Miss that Cali action. Good job!
Too fast. Can't see what the card and grade
Bro Burbank cards rips you off. Some of those cards you could of sold on eBay for much higher.
You definitely can sell them on eBay for a higher price. But you there’s a lot more to it than just the price it sells for. eBay takes a cut of the sale and you have to pay taxes on that income. Then you have to package which you have to purchase the packing supplies and list everything which takes so much time! It’s the convenience of just dumping what you don’t want to deal with lol
@@livelycardcollector yep Biden and his 600...
Do they buy Pokémon cards
Great question, I'm honestly not too sure. I'd imagine only sports cards. But we are always buying Pokemon cards! Feel free to DM me via IG if you're looking to move Pokemon cards :D
@@IntropyDR ok 👍
Are you in Los Angeles
I live in Fresno when and where is the show you said is here
The Central Valley Show (CVC Show) was on June 11, 2022. Look forward to that show video coming soon!
lets get it bro, after getting like 60% of comps did you guys making any profit from it??? thanks
After everything is said and done, we were about even on the slabs. Some of the slabs we have had from a while back when I first started sports cards, so those we lost money on, but other things were at a profit, so it all worked out. The goal of investing it just to not be always right, but just be right more than you are wrong!
New sub ! Liked 😃👏
Thanks for the support!
Why you the only one wearing a mask? 😂😂
You be at the show at Eastridge mall in S.J today?
Yes we were at the SJ show today and will most likely be back tomorro!
Probably saw you good show I thought!!!! Thanks for getting back to me!
Tomorrow I won't be there hope you had a blast today though!
Nice video, music was super loud though
Do they check pop reports on the cards you sold them? I would think that would get you more money for certain cards that you sold them.
I don't believe that's one of the factors that they check since looking up another detail on slabs over the hundreds of thousands of cards they buy over time, it probably just wouldn't benefit them overall?
All that matters is the comp itself, the price the card currently sells for. If a card is low pop and it's more valuable because of that, then that's reflected in the sale price that they are using to comp the card. It wouldn't make any sense to look that up.
I was there during game 6 of the Finals. Burbank Sports is cool with a lot of product. Where's the San Jose show going to be at?
There are no more shows in the SF Bay Area until July 16-17 in Westgate Mall. Hopefully we will see you out there!
The masks work great
Do you think the shop offered you a fair price? If a slab worth $100, how much did the shop buy it for?
The range is between 65-80% depending on the card. As someone who sells strictly on Ebay, I think they give a fair price, its just a little bit more of a cut from what I would get from Ebay (without the hassle). In all honestly, they are a business, I completely understand that they have to make money too. I will definitely be back in the future to continue to sell cards.
@@IntropyDR 65% to 80% is pretty good. Thank you so much.
why you guys still wearing masks?
Cuz Cali is a cesspool of progressive liberals who need to control all the weak minded citizens...

@@bobstiger435 it is just kind of weird to me. California is to political of a state now a days I see why so many people are leaving. Who wants to pay more to live just to have less freedoms lol
In before immune-compromised relative who was already immune-compromised before Covid.
@@andrewmoore1536 hope all is well. God bless.
How long was the process?
Depending on how many people are trying to sell cards, the waitlist is probably the time you need to be concerned about. The buylist quote and cashout I'd say is less than 20 minutes?
@@IntropyDR what do you mean by waitlist
Yikes 😳
How much you think they pay for Grade card ?
They pay in general 65-80% of recent comps for graded cards.
I going to stop by to check it out
65%?? You got robbed without a gun. 🤣
"Investor" dumping
#Cali..😝💕🔥⚾🤙
Dude you gotta take that freaking mask off bro. It’s doing absolutely nothing for you.
Maybe you could place the post it notes a bit lower on the cards? Some of the ones we see are just the showing the borders
The store placed the post it notes on the cards. For anything thats slabbed, you should be able to read the label. If it was a raw card that you were interested in seeing, let me know and I can tell you :D
You don't make any profit at Burbank. Trust me I went there and took a hit on good cards. You cannot be desperate. Sell on ebay
Now is bad time to sell yo
You got robbed
Why are you wearing a mask?
Take the mask off; makes you less off-putting to the guy paying you (no mask) therefore he'd be more willing to meet you more towards the price you're looking for
Why do you wear that face diaper though?
Great video. Thx for sharing this. Very insightful.
1st time sub. I’ll mention your video and channel in tomorrow’s video on my channel.
If I can help in any way, let me know
Appreciate the support! I'll take a gander in your channel and let you know if there's anything that comes to mind!
What % do they pay generally? Nvm should have finished the video lol
All good! Now you know!
hey brother, I got a friend who does really well cleaning and cracking slabs to regrade with good results. Hit me up on IG and we would love for you to follow
When you crack and reslab the new grade you get is a spin of the wheel. Stop acting like you have some special formula. Scrub
