    A coworker mentioned Snow Canyon to me recently, so I looked it up online. I was pleasantly surprised about a minute in to this video when I realized I have met the creator. My profile picture is from about the time we met, and taken in the place we met. (circa 2016) Great video by the way, not only informative but entertaining. Great work.

    Should we go to the first Sand Dunes Trail or the second Sand Dunes where the restrooms are? What is the difference? Which is better?

    • @trailandtravel
      @trailandtravel  3 месяца назад

      They both lead to the same place. I think the southern entrance tit he sand dune is best if you want direct access to the dunes. They north parking lot is better if you want a picnic table or the restrooms, if you park there you’ll have to trudge through the sand a bit before getting to the dunes.

    I saw somewhere that there are both desert tortoise and gila monsters in Snow Canyon state park. Are they seen frequently ?

    • @trailandtravel
      @trailandtravel  Год назад +1

      yes they are both present in the park! However with the many times that I've been there I have not seen either one in person.

  • @thomza
    @thomza Год назад +1

    I found some feces and toilet paper on the sand dunes. When I left the park, I told the ranger about it and he apologized and said he was sorry that he couldn't hold it. He kept a straight face so I don't know if he was serious or not. 🤦

    • @trailandtravel
      @trailandtravel  Год назад +1

      lol that's pretty funny, but also really unfortunate as there is a bathroom really close to the sand dunes.. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of Snow Canyon!

      There are 7 species of rattlesnake in this area. They are usually out and about from early March to late November, but they can sometimes be seen basking on really warm winter days.
