I always think of mid engine being the best type of engine placement but watching a sleek R8 race against a brick shaped continental has me thinking otherwise.
It really depends on a number of factors. at mount panorama, because of the elevation changes, a front-engine car is actually better because it is more stable on the high-speed, downhill sections since more of the car's weight is forward.
I drive ACC and Compared a Lambo which has same engine as Audi, the Lambo has a Better Setup. What i like to say is that Audio has Constant Powa and Pushes good but i think there missing some Boost. I can feel that Lambo real goes and goes full throttle but Audi feels just weak. If Bop maybee is better the Audi really goes crazy.

Different setting on aerodynamic trim. The cars are almost evenly balanced using Balance of Power that reduces/increases horsepower and weight to match all cars. However all team we were able to run aero bits to the trims that proved most advantageous.
I think that because it is hot in Australia, high temperatures decrease oxygen levels which affects the engine performance. Bently must have a bigger radiator allowing the engine to run smoother/cooler than the Audi, which is why it was staying ahead of the Audi.

6:46 to 6:51.. Bentley went too slow and packed up the top 3 too much, and then didn't get away quite fast enough when it had control of the restart.. It doesn't get a clean gap on the Audi and Nissan and they stayed a relative distance.. 6:52 to 6:58 .. Either the Audi is in a bad part of it's torque band or Vanthoor gets his foot off for fear of rear ending the Bentley (very unlikely), and the Nissan strolls past. However, the relative distance between the Bentley and the Nissan stays the same as it was thru the last turn at the restart until they hit the turn 1 braking zone.. And Chiyo takes a huge chunk out under brakes. Maybe the brakes weren't at optimum temp for the Bentley after the safety car.. 7:00 .. The Nissan pulls of a much more efficient line through hell corner (turn 1) than the Bentley - which doesn't hit the optimum apex.. it's about a meter away. This kills Bell's exit speed and Chiyo is able to quickly ride on his rear bumper then slip past. The Nissan over boosted turbo argument is somewhat invalid between these cars as the Bentley is also a turbo car - and both have boost levels controlled and monitored by the BoP - set by SRO. Lastly, the Aston Martin (N/A V12 engine) that finishes 3rd. at 7:06 it is still very much 6th in line, and the speed and distance Mucke closes to pass the car that is placed 4th and get to 3rd is relative to the distance the Nissan gaps the Bentley and Audi at the last turn before the finish line - so the BoP of the cars is fairly accurate.
