great comparison. and you have a great captain of an aeroplane voice . can just imagine you saying yes we are now cruising at 32 thousand feet over the north Atlantic. .
The suspension is a huge letdown for sure. I dont think it is nitpicking. They put so much effort everywhwere else but fail at building a decent suspension.
thing is someone posted a vid on how to fix it; the issue is literally fixed by just using the lower friction pins instead of the blue pins that do have a lot more friction, cant believe the original creators of the set didnt think of that
Oh wow, I'm getting PTSD flashbacks to when I built the Porsche! Back then I swore never again... buuut it'll look so nice next to the Porsche. Great review!
@@stevendeboer456 yes the top speed key also unlocks more horsepower, now I'm not sure how many more but I can confirm that it gives it more horsepower and allows it to go at its top speed
Good review. I think you've got the side door upper/rear panel piece on incorrectly. Rear edge should follow the line of the lower door. Just boisting my powers of observation. Love your channel!
@@alexnunes One more small mistake. The upper ends of front window pillars (where they meet the roof) are rotated incorrectly. You have to interchange them.
brickitect it is a very difficult build I have built it myself and make sure you follow the instructions for the gears that attach to the wheels you will know what I mean .p.s. I am a huge fan of your videos and may you say hello to clark for me been there since 2,000 subscribers
If you had to choose, which one of these two sets would you get? And why? I’m making that decision right now and am not having an easy time! Huge 911 fan but I think the Chiron is probably a nicer set.
Really tough choice. They are both amazing sets. If you are a huge 911 fan then get the Porsche. It really is an amazing set. I think if you had no attachment to a certain brand then the Bugatti would be my choice.
I would personally say the Bugatti, just because it's got better internal features in the engine and such, which i find more fun. Also having more that one color is nice. Overall I think the Bugatti is way cooler
And it's also wrong because Lego didn't want to make pieces to make a proper boxer engine :( And nothing changed because the Chiron has a weird V8+8 engine instead of a proper W16
Hi Alex I'm working at it now, i wanted it before it retired. I have a problem, though I can't get the 2 bottom pieces to connect. Do you have any possible advice to help. You make it look so easy
I have acquired this set, however I to date have not build it yet. I was fortunate to get it at a good price of 250 pounds, as it was on promotion at the time. The Porsche GT3, set no 42056 retailed for 250 British pounds when it was launched. Today, in January 2021, this set retails at 570 British pounds. Not easy to find. In my view, the Bugatti Chiron will also in a few years retail for a higher amount.
No offense taken. I saw another reviewer with the same issue before I built mine and figured he messed something up. When I came to the same result I just figured maybe that was just the way it is. Oh well, I am not about to tear it up and rebuild. Thanks!
"Just for fun i brought the Porsche too for comparison" At the moment you're the only one who did that and that was riiight was i was searching for. Also why your Porsche has no stickers on?
At 11:39 Where you say the Chiron and The GT3 RS have the same amount of suspension, that is incorrect. Whereas the Chiron has two rods per wheel in the front axles, the GT3 RS has only one per wheel on the front axles.
Hello Alex, Just letting you know that the Porsche has only 6 springs, not 8. There are 2 on each of the rear wheels and one per front wheel. Awesome video none the less!
Technic is not my type of building I tried a 230 piece one for my birthday and it took me and a friend 6 hours combined over 3 days to build it. Nice video.
Thanks for your review. Given your experience do you think you could modify the body shell to be removable. I've seen the GT3 with a removable body but the Chirron is packed with components. I've been building for 50 yrs, so beat you on that front. Good review.
50 yeas? wow, yes you have. With LEGO I always say it is possible. Given the amount of integrated pieces I would say that it is still possible, but maybe not as easy as the GT3.
Honest question, does your Bugatti move along a flat surface with four wheels down? The differential issue with this model is perplexing, infuriating, and seems to have no definitive answer. I've followed the instructions to a t (AFAIK), disassembled the entire thing, and am preparing to build it again. Your shot of the underside of the car seems to match the watch the instructions call for, but I didn't see you 'drive the vehicle'. Don't know why I'm so adamant about getting it right, but I am. Thanks for your content!
What happened to the sticker on the engine at 13:17. Did you forget to put it on? Edit: Now that I realize it, do you ever put any stickers on the Porsche because I dont see them anywhere else.
At 3:31 of Matthew Hauptman's video on the Chiron, he is explaining that he 'ran into' the same issue with his differential that I did on the first build. Then he flips his car over, and it looks like his rear differential is flipped from yours. His car runs. I know next to nothing about Technic, the inner workings of cars, etc., so maybe he flipped his rear differential to make for a mistake he made on the front one? Please help (anyone) if possible.
I dont really get it. I love lego, i have a huge collection including technic sets, as well as the Porsche 911. The Bugatti Chiron by itself is a beautiful car, and i get the lego-fication of it can never get perfect, and a lot of effort has gone into it, but for me its just not right. Maybe the wrong choice to lego-fy in the first place. I am really not getting all the rave reviews about it. Seems like the "emperor's new clothes". Anyone agree/disagree?
It's more of a "what's on the inside" marvel than the exterior in my opinion. The drive train they have rebuilt will be wonders for other technic sets down the line.
this was one of the most challenging build of lego technic? really? the instruction booklet is so thick and done in very easy steps. If I compare that to the Mercedes Benz Arocs truck with all the pneumatics and that many tubes the Chiron is easier.
Let me know how the build goes. I found some of the pages to be a maze of elements and they stopped highlighting the added parts in yellow like they used to. Still pretty fun.
Dude that car looks amazing, do you think it will be available in Canada anytime soon? Also I think it’s really cool how you can change gears with the paddle shifters or the Gearshift in the car, and when you pull the gearshift in the car that’s actually change gears?
The reason the buggatii chirons suspention doesn’t go back up is because it’s a feature in real life it lowers the car so it goes faster or something like that
it never went back up again... im pretty sure people would be annoyed if that was irl, fair enough if it locks low for high speeds temporarily but not forever.
That's the design of the lego set. When you push down on the suspension it locks in place for the higher speed. The only way for it not to lock like that would beto not having the lower feature that he used the key for. It's a pretty complex job they have going on there.
great comparison. and you have a great captain of an aeroplane voice . can just imagine you saying yes we are now cruising at 32 thousand feet over the north Atlantic. .
the tool is the speed key in the real car, cool review as well
They should make a technic lamborghini like if you agree
Evan Krieger Ferrari or koesiengg and maybe Pagani would be awesome as well, even Maserati or Aston Martin
A Technic Huracan would look sick!
Body lines would be tough but I’d sell more. Bugatti’s and Porsche’s are cool but not as eye catching in my opinion
They should do the centenario
Edit: and/or the veneno
An aventador would be pretty easy that has pretty boxy lines
The little fashion bag just topped it off for me.
haha, yep. I believe that was a freebie from LEGO.
I’m sure it’s a terrific build but in terms of styling the Porsche is iconic and wins hands down.
not really, porsche looks way worse than the bugatti plus the bugatti has more pieces and is cheaper also
Got to film a full size 1:1 working Buaggti Chiron alongside a real one. incredible workmanship.
wow, that is awesome!

I did the EXACT same thing. I saw an article about the Lego Bugatti on June 1st (Friday) went out an purchased it on Sunday Morning! HAD TO HAVE THIS!
Man, imagine how long it took to design this. Not only is it complex, it is so large

The key for the spoiler represents the key used to unlock ALL the horsepower in the real car.
HisLordStigness nope only top speed.
Commonly called the speed key
Oh wow! That's cool. If that's true. I did know about the top speed unlock key but not quite sure of its design, or shape.
@@XrisD147 nah it's the actual design

Porsche has a flat 6, not a V6. Also its pronounced "Sheeron". Excellent video tho. Definitely love both sets

Sean Petersen Chiron not sheeron dumass it's named after the a real person

Shame for the suspensions. Seems like an easy thing to catch for QA ...

need a ferrari someday, that would be a cool lego set too
While the F40 is not Technic it is quite an engineering masterpiece lego has done. Check it out if you have not seen it already.

I think the problem of the suspension is due to the builder (not offensive) , because in the official video, they work really well
