I really think it's confusing for a lot of people for brands to specify the SPF for makeup because to get that level of protection, you need a decent layer, which with things like concealer, you might not actually get over much of your face. It's an extra not a replacement for a spf base moisturiser. Remember half the layer required provides only 1/10 of the specified protection. The relationship between thickness of application and protection isn't linear.
