Great vid of the install. The person who owned my v35 before me tried to do this fix and absolutely butchered it and I've had to go and repair it multiple times. I wish this video would have existed when they did it.
That’s not good mate. Glad to hear it’s going to help you fix it. Yeh I seen pictures of people going it online but no really detailed videos.
This is a very well made and informative video. I have to wonder if there is another way to fix the door lock problem that doesn’t involve putting in a new actuator… Like, if there is something snagged in the cable assembly? Or even a way to repair the existing actuator?
You can still buy the actuator new but its hard to replace as you need to gut the door and its rather expensive. I thought of attaching it to the cable but when its locked there isn't enough room to attach it. This didn't take me any longer than 2hrs. The actuator is only $15.
