  • Even in rainy days camping a really nice omelet is not only possible, but delicious. My PSSL Poncho and three quarter length fleece came in handy on this wet 30 - 40 degree camp.

    That biscuit look awesome, so does the whole meal. Tip of the day though, when cracking a egg always do it on a flat surface not a sharp. Otherwise ya drive small pieces of shell into the egg. When in high school many years ago cooking in a restaurant was taught that, and it stuck with me.

    I like th way you think..
    ..... Love th omelet idea.. Never wash a dish if I can avoid it.. Wouldn't have thought to use that kind of a bag..
    ..... In another vid you tried making cornbread in an iron skillet.. That's a great way to bake, if you set it in coals and put a lid on it.. I once baked a birthday cake that way but in a dutch oven and with coals on th lid.. Worked beautifully..

      We make them as a side line. We are discontinuing the "Build A Grill" Kits, and the Titanium (impractical), but the others are still available. In this video I am using the lighter weight Cookin Sticks, in stainless steel. Since this video we have added actual Cookin Irons which are 3/8" wrought iron and are sturdy enough for cast iron cookware. That said here's a link wildernessinnovation.com/stoves/campfire-cookin-sticks-kits/

I have been offered, a big buck check in , if id cook at a certain camp , cooking their ingredients, the old grandpa , a wants my great northern white beans at least every 3rd day . If I feel better, I'll go this season. Just a few days from now

      +Cindy Frost guess I should add a video like that to my list. It's actually pretty simple. I often carry some pancake flour with me because I can use it for lots of things. What I did here is add a little water to the flour till it made a ball of dough. Then I flattened it out and put it in the little skillet, I turned it when the bottom side was done.

    • @wildernessinnovation
      @wildernessinnovation  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for asking, glad the Omelette went well for you. The bread is easy. I just used a pancake mix from a box, like Bisquick, only I did not add as much water as for pancakes because I wanted a dough not a batter. So just add a little water and start mixing, once you have a ball of dough, you are good to go. Enjoy. -Perry
