Not only are you an extremely talented CC creator (I have downloaded every piece you created so far, and use them constantly) but you are an incredible teacher as well! Your explanations and delivery in this tutorial are so easy to understand and follow, and you break everything down SO well! I know you didn't even get in to the "how" part yet, and I don't even really have an interest in creating cc myself, I was just interested in the process, but already I understand way more about what CC creators are talking about when discussing how objects are created. I don't know what your "day job" is/was but whatever you do or are interested in, you should definitely be an instructor in your field!
thank you!!! i worked really hard on it... it seriously was so hard to understand everything in the beginning. so many terms and moving parts... but you don't really need to go full on head in like i did. it took me two months to make my first version of the couldnt chair less sectional (its not the same as the one available today) and when i finally uploaded it, i was rejected for not knowing the poly count. i also think its helpful for downloaders because some creators call out the polycounts and before making cc i had no idea why they were even doing it or why it matter, but its super important! so im so glad you took that away from this :) my day job is an engineer and i love teaching there too!! but this is alot prettier :P
I've often had problems trying to find tutorials on the fundamentals of pretty much anything computer related where instructors actually defined all the terms in the beginning so I can totally relate to your frustrations when you were learning CC. This is a great intro and will definitely help others get started. I really love all of your CC so I'm excited to see more tutorials. Thank you!
yay this was exactly my intention so I am so happy you found it that way... i started making an into to blender tutorial first and as i was going through i was like well how the heck are they going to know what i am talking about which is why it reminded me to take a step back. i am glad you liked it :)
This was the super easy to understand tutorial. I'm looking forward to the next part. I've wanted to learn how to create CC in sims 4 for a long time and this tutorial created that opportunity. Thank you very much and continued good work!
yay! that makes me so happy!! are there any other topics you are struggling with? i have a the next few tutorials in progress but if there is anything specific you want to see I will make sure to cover them!
you are SAVING me!!! I am trying so hard to figure out how to make cc and all the sims4studio tutorials I could find jumped straight into alpha layers and LRLE and UV and all this stuff I didn't understand!!
So not only do you make my favourite cc, you are also teaching me how to make my own?! You're amazing. Thank you for this super easy to follow, fantastic tutorial series ❤️
I literally love you thank you so fricken much. I can't find ANYTHING that explains everything from start to finish like your videos do. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I have just started making functional objects and dived into blender a few days before watching this. This would have been a great intro haha. So sweet of you to help new creators, and I'm a long time fan of your work!!! ♡♡♡
Thank you so much for making this! It explains things so concisely and clearly. I was having trouble finding a tutorial that made any sense when searching "how to make cc" until I searched for "how to make cc for absolute beginners" and this video popped up. My goal is to eventually be able to make cc wedding cakes - I grew up in a family bakery and have made or helped make dozens (perhaps even hundreds?) of real life wedding cakes, so I find the options in the sims to be frankly lacking
All the lightbulb moments! Thank you! I have been fiddling with CC recolours and such without really understanding what I was looking at. This is great and I will absolutely be following along. Thank you so much!
i just uploaded my first blender tutorials! especially for recolor artists, blender can be such a helpful tool for figuring out how the UV map overlays with the texture even if you dont ever plan to modify the mesh. if you watch the first part of my blender basics video it will show you how to apply a texture to a mesh and look at its uv map real time!
Thank you for this video! For a long time I haven't even considered making my own CC, because I thought it'd just be too hard to figure out. This intro tutorial makes the process of getting started much clearer and more approachable, and now the idea of making CC gets me excited! Can't wait to watch your next videos and keep learning.
Thank you for this series! Your entire collection of cc is a must have for my game now, and it’s wonderful to find that you’re such a good instructor as well! Would you consider also putting out written transcripts, especially for future videos, so it’s easier to refer back while working on our own cc projects? That would be a great help as well!
yes certainly for something like this i could easily do that! it may be harder with the follow on blender tutorials (which btw are up!), but i could do written for this one!
Thank you so much for the in depth tutorial! I was getting recommendation by Syboubou to look for your tutorial. Looking forward to learn more from you. I am interested to try out and create cc for furniture. ☺️
Haven't watched your videos completely yet, just skipped through a few of them, but the parts I did saw looked very helpful! I've made mods for the Sims 4 since the beginning but never really worked with meshes a lot. Apart from scaling or rotating, so I think your videos might help me creating other things in the future too. You're also teaching in a way I like to make my own tutorial videos too: Explaining even the smallest steps. So you've got yourself a new subscriber! And I hope I can take a closer look at all your videos soon! :) Greetings from a fellow modder! *>>EDIT
just saw this sorry for the late reply, but join my discord if you want more help!! im always happy to help, its just easier there to help real time. and obvs i didnt see this comment fo 7 months on here sooooo lol
@@Ravasheen No problem, I miss comments on my channel sometimes too. ;) I've just joined your Discord channel, will 'complete' it later this weekend probably. :)
this is so great!! could you maybe make a tutorial at some point on spec maps and shadows?? I'm a total novice still and i just can't get past that step. I get everything else, but as soon as i mess around with the spec map and shadow map, things go... strangely wrong. From black shadows to a completely shiny sim, i really don't know what i'm doing ToT
i know i really need to!! i can help! i have some tutorials i can send you. join my discord... link is on my website ravasheen.com i would be happy to send you the tutorials and help you work through the issues
I don't speak english very well so it's complicated for me to understand but thank you for this tutorial. Do you know if we can take a lot, house and export it as a 3d file to open it on blender for example?
Thank you for making this!! I love your CC and I am excited to start making my own. :) You do a wonderful job explaining things. A special skill indeed!
How exactly would you turn your LOD 3 into an LOD 1 model. Would you make a completely new one, or is there something you can do in blender to make a mesh have less polys.

So talented ❤️

New student here, hi! 👋😊
I want to know how apply a custom texture to a painting.
check ouut the next videos in the series
I really need a thorrow texture tutorial i made a new helmet and the texture looks like some kinda horrendus picasso painting :(
How exactly would you turn your LOD 3 into an LOD 1 model. Would you make a completely new one, or is there something you can do in blender to make a mesh have less polys.
you would take your high lod and reduce the verticies, the way i do it is using this method: ruclips.net/video/Yptda_yKQIU/видео.html
also happy to help on my discord channel! discord.gg/fqpYbTxCvt
