    Very well done! I'm debating how long to wait til i go for rl1. This is awesome.

      @@grayestrat Thanks! I had a ton of fun with the level 1 run jumping in in the first week but I also understand wanting to wait so you have time ti do other builds and experience the dlc casually more before jumping into the challenges. With star fists a lot of the scariest bosses weren’t that bad and they destroyed some of the bosses so easily it didn’t even feel like it was a level 1 run.

      @SacredWalrus star fists are so damn insane man 😅 It's wild they've not been nerfed after all this time of deleting bosses and it's wild you don't see them in more casual player runs. It's like it's not that well known how insanely strong they are

      @@grayestrat Yeah, it is crazy. The star fists have some of the best stagger potential in the game, two statuses with a cold infusion, and they’re super fast and hard hitting. And the iron balls as well, on the Hitless route they can kill bosses in 3-4 charged heavy’s with only a few buffs and good strength scaling. The reason I went through the dlc and beat some bosses Hitless was because I destroyed Messmer and midra so easily on level 1 and wanted to fight them with weaker weapons. I had a lot of fun hitlessing Messmer with a +12 milady and now I want to do a whole playthrough with it

      @@SacredWalrus I LOVE Milady with Wing stance. Used it for 80% of the dlc.

      @@grayestrat I used rellanas swords for most of my dlc playthrough, and when I tried the milady against Messmer I immediately fell in love. That was absolutely my favorite kill I’ve done on a dlc boss so far and now I need to do more like it

    So that's how you dodge the cross slash combo. Do you have any advice for that attack?

    • @SacredWalrus
      @SacredWalrus  Месяц назад +3

      @@carlschrappen9712 That attack is easily the most annoying for a run like this. The strategy I use here involves just circling him to the left and I tried to keep myself always to the left of his right foot, and then rolling further left when he does the attack. It’s kinda tough to maintain but works pretty well. Other options are guard parrying it with the sekiro parry tear, or using the talisman that gives back steps I frames so you can back step and then roll because back steps have less recovery frames. This attack is a super annoying one but hopefully some of these tips can help.

      This is the most helpful video I've seen. I probably won't get around to a RL1 run for a bit but thanks! I find the backstep method very unintuitive personally. I'll give this a shot next time I fight him. Hopefully they adjust the attack soon.

    • @SacredWalrus
      @SacredWalrus  Месяц назад +2

      @@BBQcheese I hope so as well, to me it feels like waterfowl where you have to adjust your whole playstyle to not get hit by it and I hope they make it at least a bit easier to deal with. I think the easiest method is definitely guard parrying it but if you don’t want to use parries the circle strategy is the best way to go.

    Really nice dude, but this also shows one big problem with the DLC: dodge every attack, hit once, and repeat. That's just boring.

      Thanks! I feel like the short and infrequent openings are mostly okay, they’re annoying on this boss but generally balanced out by staggers. On most bosses if you are playing aggressively and know their openings you can get staggers frequently enough to get good damage in. In this fight he is extremely hard to stagger so it does feel like it takes too long to get good damage in but I think in general if you play aggressively the bosses don’t drag on.
