For two years I was Keto, started Carnivore six months ago with excellent results. I have Hashimotos and RA. Both since childhood and I’m mid fifty’s now. I was holding onto coffee because of addiction. I gave it up four months ago and it was life changing for me. The first thing I noticed was that my memory improved. I could remember peoples names more easily and even the thoughts and words came faster. My last bit of inflammation finally left my body and I lost my stomach pooch. Being allergic to beans and legumes, when I finally realized coffee was a bean and it was not my friend it was easy to give up.

Dr. Berry, you asked for good people to interview. There is an inspiring man named Dante here on YT. He’s been recording his carnivore/lion diet since day one. I started off watching Dr Berg and Dr Ekberg but now almost exclusively watch Dr Berry and Dr Chaffee. Would find it interesting watching you challenge those first two guys as they’re more for the fruit & veggies. I went from low carb to keto to ketovore and now carnivore. Lost 10 stone in a year from Jan 1st 2022- Jan 1st 2023.

You were talking about testosterone, Dr. Berry....Mine was 105 in November. I started eating ketovore in Nov, and in Dec my doctor started my on Testosterone injections. After 3 of them (6 weeks) she took me off the injections as I was having pain and tenderness in my chest/breast region. Had my testosterone checked at the start of Feb, and got the results on Feb 15th: 611.5! Also got the results of my A1C that day. It was 10.1 in Nov. and was put on metformin. Taken off of metformin mid January when my daily fasting glucose level was 80 (down from 380). A1C is now 5.3!
Also, saw your interview with Amanda! Absolutely awesome!

Advice for TRUCK DRIVERS or ANYONE who drives long distances: Eliminating carbohydrates will eliminate drowsiness while driving!! It's the blood sugar spikes and resulting insulin response that puts you on the rollercoaster, unable to keep your eyes open after a carby meal or snack or sugary drink. This was one of my biggest revelations after I adopted a very low-carb way of eating more than 7 years ago. We used to own a vacation home that was an 11-hour drive away and we never, ever had problems with drowsiness when driving straight through. An added bonus is you simply don't need to stop and eat as often or pack a bunch of snacks for the trip. You can go much longer without eating because you're just not hungry every couple hours, like you do when on the carb-insulin rollercoaster.

Just wanted to mention that I have been Carnivore for about 6 weeks now. After I lost my initial 15 or so pounds of water weight from the carbs, I didn't loose much at all. I use Monk Fruit/Erythritol in my coffee along with heavy cream during this time. I then realized that I milked my coffee as it took me 4 hours to drink just 12 ounces. and then I would have another one. Since I was drinking my coffee with the sweetener all day long, I must have kept my insulin levels up because of the sweetness so I was not burning the fat.
The last two weeks I switched to no sweetener in coffee and kept the heavy cream and I lost 8 pounds in those 2 weeks. I just started my 3rd week and already down 1.8 pounds in one day. The good thing is that I am finally used to coffee without sweetener. Not everyone has this reaction, but some folks like me do. If you find you are not loosing the weight while be being strict Beef, Butter, Bacon, and Eggs and Eating OMAD like I am. Look at that sweetener :)

If you have heart issues and you go awhile without any caffeine and then drink some, be careful. I read an article about that shortly after the exact same thing happened to me. I had severe chest pains after 2 cups of coffee after not drinking coffee for several months before that. No more caffeine for me.
When I was on levothyroid I kept having trouble swallowing and chest pains. For the heck of it I looked up levothyroxine side effects, and chest pain and difficulty swallowing were right at the top of the list. I haven't taken levothyroxine again since.

The mind is an arrogant entity, we create a mind to interact with this physical universe, but the eternal part of us....soul as an entity is not the mind. Birds love their young, and if you had a close releationship with a bird..... just like a dog, a dolphin, a pig ....all are soul in meat bodies. It covered many years. Bottom line...coffee, caff or decaf, brewed or instant, it of great value to our heart health!

You mentioned about quitting coffee. I weaned down and quit coffee for 2 months to see if my tinnitus would go down any. I couldn’t tell a difference, so I’m drinking coffee again. I’ve been doing keto but started carnivore today. I’m hoping this helps with the tinnitus and lung issues, I have a lot of chest congestion and I’m on oxygen.

Tinnitus can be caused by physical issues that affect the crystals in your ear. If you tend to hold your head tilted, or have issues like headaches, poor balance, clumsiness or dizziness, that would be worth looking into. Check out the work of Pete Egoscue and his book "Pain Free". There is a chapter dealing with head and neck issues like tinnitus and tmj. He has a fascinating approach to, what comes down to, compensating muscles that are messing us up. Of everything I have tried in my life to deal with a severe back injury from childhood, his process saved my life and got me out of bed again.

@@elizabethwhite1068 Thanks for the information. I believe mine is from a medication but I will still check out that book you mentioned, it could be a big help to my wife even if I don’t find it to help with mine.

Coffee is notorious for molds! Single Origin Organic will help with this issue. However, I broke up with coffee and it was a game changer.

    Dinner for me
Was Mediterranean sardines (a big deal for me), keto bread made in 90 seconds in the microwave. (It was dry but ok, almond flour, coconut oil, MTC oil and an egg. I don’t like eggs so this gets an egg in). I also had mozzerella cheese and olives. That’s all I ate all day at about 5 pm

U you asked what we had for dinner. I had chicken drumsticks cooked in the oven with lots of seasoning like turmeric and Chinese five spice and I boiled in water some pak choi but then I got hungry later and I had to make these little chicken bites in the oven

I opine that most of the meds are treating symptoms. and insulin resistance can be the root cause. Proper Human Diet will reverse insulin resistance and can reverse NAFLD, CKD, bp issues, depression, and other diseases.
see Ben Bickman's vids on insulin resistance...

I hate to break it to you Dr Berry but 4 days without coffee is the calm before the storm 😂. Just wait…I tried to quit coffee and I was fine for 6 days and then I started feeling really tired, getting the shakes ect and had to have a cup of coffee just so I could function 😅😅. I plan on trying again starting tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼
