- Dipidu is an Ugandan Greeting Song in 3/4 and 2/4 time. Although the meter of the song shifts repeatedly between 3 and 2 beats per measure, the beat remains steady, giving the music a steady but seemingly complete sense of rhythm.
In this video, we show a simple way to keep the beat in 3/4 and 2/4 time, but feel free to experiment with other rhythms that could be played instead. This is a great song for creating your own rhythms in 3/4 and 2/4 and playing them as you sing.
I love the 3/4 time!
