    Just got my first dog tail today! I am so happy and excited I keep making laps around my house to keep seeing her lol!

    Beautiful plant! I use an old towel I can throw away and wrap the Dogtail cactus upward and clamp shut. Makes it so much easier! You don't get poked as much and can see where you need soil.

      Cool. I do that with my dessert cacti that have big spikes on it. Those really hurt..lol

    I love that plant, mine has roots growing out like your too. Mine isn’t as big as yours but I find it grows really fast. Anything that breaks off just stick it back in the pot.

      @@tropicalplantmomma They are air roots and roots to attach itself to something when the arms get long or heavy. Air roots sometimes appear when the plant is looking for more water,,,is what I was told. Some people say transplant every year because of fast growth

    I still have my plant. It has grown a lot since you gave me cuttings. It’s not as full as yours yet. But then nothing is so no worries. Some day she will be big and huge like yours Loki love her. She so different

    Mine is growing outside and got too much water during the rainy season. Now, it's half dead. Yours is so full and healthy!

      Oh No! I hope it recovers for you. I'm sure it will. Maybe you'll have to propagate it to get all the rot out :(

    I got one from a friends mother and ,it grew like crazy this summer. Did not know the name of it , glad to know.

    I repot my "beaver tail" and "prickly pear" with metal tongs! No kidding.

      Oh ya,I have a few I use several towels around and wear gloves! 😂😂😂😂 this was nothing compared to this guy hahahaha

    Wow, that was a treacherous job. You've got guts to film that! You go girl😂 I'm nervous to repot my two burrows tails when it's time. So touchy🙄

      yes they are. but if you make sure they are watered well before you repot they wont drop so many leaves...lol good luck

    I use tongs to repot my cacti. She is awesome plant.

      Ya i do to on some of my smaller ones. I have some really big ones, about 3 feet tall that I have to wrap several towels around and wear gloves to,repot😂

    I just saw a monkey tail plant those r beautiful also. I have my dog tail in a hanging basket I keep my plants outside in the spring and summer months.

      Yes it is kind of sticky. I didn't notice to much until I was done. Lol

    Dont rinse, you can fill soil easy peasy!!! Good job of potting. When do you expect to get flowers? Are dog tail same as dragon fruit? They look the same! Can you get fruit? Do you hang or put on shelf? Thanks!!!

    Lookin good! Sometimes I use scotch tape wrapped around one hand to pull out.. with feeling... and catch things which are stuck in and nearly invisible on the other. Ouch!

    Duct tape works well to get the stickers out. She sure is a pretty thing. LOL at the Ariel roots. What she think she is a Monstera??

      Yes I am. My husband and I have been doing it for years. Really love it. Most of the planting I do outside is for our bees and other pollinators.. Just love having them and they are so interesting to watch inside the hive and out. We have 8 hives now. Just did some splits a couple weekends ago.🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🌸🌻🌸🌻🌸🌻✌💖

      No it means it was out on my front porch all summer in the humidity
