    I've had 3 of these from brand new from 2012 and they are still the most fun I've had on a bike. Yeah could do with a bit more power but the reality is if you need more power in this bike your really pushing it on a track. There light there nimble they boogie pretty hard and sound pretty good, design hasn't changed much but if it works it works.

    Just picked up a 2017 and I think my favorite thing about it is the very fact that it IS dated. I like analogue tachs. I like old school cable actuated throttles. I don't need or want modes, or traction control, or a TFT dash, or ABS for that matter. The 'tech' it does offer, in the form of the electronic steering damper and slipper clutch is very much appreciated. It's everything I want and nothing I don't. Plenty of power for my purposes with top tier cornering performance and feel.

    I love my 2007 in white. I like the electronic upgrades and abs options of today, and I like the newer wheels than my older 3 spokes. I haven't done much to my bike other than a Yoshi RS5 and different windscreen. In fact, I'm going to go out for a ride today Sunday morning right now and enjoy it.
    I've been pondering a new bike and I'm leaning toward the XSR 900 soon. Its sad to see the 600 segment disappearing. I know there is some 650 CBR but I don't know much about it.

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im Год назад

      The 650 is good for R7/RS660 class and underlooked in that segment but isn't on par with the 600. XSR900 or MT09 horrible choice tbh but I think the R9 if they get it out will be a winner.

    It's weird that 2022 dash looks 95% the same as say a 2006. You'd think these bikes would have a digital screen by now but I guess to keep costs down and make an excellent engine and a great bike overall that's super reliable, you gotta save $ somewhere.

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im Год назад +1

      I like the old school touches on this and the Gixxer's. Electronics remove some of the fun of riding and people rely on them too much. TC and ABS are great don't get me wrong but some of the newer bikes are just too reliant on electronics and these analogue bikes like the CBR600 are WAY more reliable like you said and can take a beating.

    I learned on a Honda 750 nighthawk early 90's edition.
    I will only ever own a Honda Motorcycle the engine on the bike i learned on when sold had 350,000 miles with just routine maintenance it needed a ring job bad towards the end,
    But that says allot about Honda's reliability.
    That engine saw numerous trips from Boston to Montreal,Quebec,and outtowa and was a daily driver.
    The 2023 cbr is a BIG bike i was surprised when i saw it also the pictures dont do it justice when you see it in real life it is absolutely gorgeous and stunning.
    I feel like the back brake could be more powerful or firmer ill take it up with shop when it gets it first oil change.
    The price is decent for what you get in this economy.
    Safe riding!

    I love Honda and the 600RR as I’ve owned many but Honda isn’t being kind to North America. We don’t have the new base 1000RR-R here still and the newer version of the 600RR. Unfortunately the 600 segment is not doing well which is terrible news as i, like you, prefer the 600 over the liter. The R6 is no longer produced for the street and Honda doesn’t want to bring the 600RR to current euro emissions. It’s an end to an era for some of us sadly.

      That's a difficult one... We should have gotten it back in 2020 or at least 2021 as sometimes we're a year behind but heck, here it is 2022 and still nothing. With the way sales have been going, I don't think it's a big priority on American Honda's list but those lackluster 600 sales could possibly be improved with the Japan spec bike. Offering a decade old bike like they are currently isn't exactly going to make people want to go out and buy a new CBR600RR... Like I said towards the end, I'd love to talk with the people making these decisions to see exactly what their thought process is behind it all.

      It's funny how the tides have changed... Back in the 600 SS hayday, naked bikes were the red-headed step-child and didn't get any love due to lackluster sales in comparison. Now, it's the complete opposite and I believe it's because some are stepping up their naked bike's performance instead of just giving them crap horsepower numbers and crap suspension like they used to and when it comes to styling, they just look better nowadays. I used to hate the way 99% of naked sportbikes looked but now, I like 99% of them lol! As much as I hate to say it, I think you're right on having a hard time seeing supersport 600 bikes make a comeback. Heck, if they keep going to the moon with 1000 SS bike prices - I wonder how much longer they'll be around. I remember when $20k seemed like an outrageous number and we're close to seeing that as the starting point for most. It's interesting to see just how the markets change over time and I'm super curious what the next few years holds for these bikes...

      That's funny I like the look of the newer over the older 2007 model years, but I do dislike the gauge cluster, a digital one would be sweet.
      Have you seen the brand new cbr600rr in Japan right now? I'm not sure I like the wings but I like the led and much more aggressive front end

    New to buying a brand new motorcycle so forgive me. When do the 2022 CBR600s come out? Are they not out yet? I have emailed about 6 dealerships about pre ordering one with ABS paying cash and can not get a single reply. Anyone tell me what's going on?

      I found a 2022 600rr about a month ago. The dealer said it did not ship yet. I put 500 on it to hold and then it arrived on 3-24, I then secured financing and it is being delivered on tues 3-29.

      I had been shopping for a while for a used bike in general. The private market is the way to go, dealers have little inventory and are trying to get top top top dollar for every piece of merchandise they have, I wonder if parts are next. I had one dealer try to sell me a 2020 GSX-r 600 with 1200 miles for 12900, but I had to finance according to him. Get this, the "financing" was going to be like $250 a month for 72 months....lol....Do the math...That's $18000 and I was going to put down $4000. So they wanted to charge $22K for a used bike. The reason was "oh it's your credit". So 12900+ttl+f=14000-4000=10000 financed somehow goes to 22? Some of these dealerships amount to state sponsored criminal enterprises.

    My sister was rear-ended by this bike last week killing the rider. He hit her doing 180 MPH! Totalled her car as well! Be careful riders. The guy was on route 55 heading north in NJ weaving in and out of cars and riding irresponsibly. The victim's name was Anthony Giordano

    • @BikesandBriar

      Sucks the accident happened. For the rider losing their life and for your sister’s totaled car. This bike can’t go anywhere near 180 mph. Maybe 160. Maybe.

    The Honda CBR 600 RR is a "Race Replica". Race bikes do not have any storage because it is a race bike. You are buying a Race Replica of Honda's CBR 600RR race bike. Typically a race bike does not have things it does not need. They do not have storage, fuel gauges, cruise control; the CBR 600RR will never have these things because it is a "Race Replica". If you need or want those features Honda has the CBR 650R; for the street. Both the CBR 650R and the CBR 600RR are great bikes, it just that one is a Race Replica and one is not.

    drop the price to 10,999... they will outsell all others combined.... they dont realize that most junkies are gonna buy the least expensive two wheels they can get.(new bike pricing) (honda number one used bike sold),,,,.. hence Suzuki still lives,,,,, and Kawasaki sells the 636 for 10,999 and its a better track bike out of the box... if Honda matches that price,, the name will sell itself...
