No way the resale value on that 600RR is even going to compare with it's past generations. Especially as a first owner because it's just way too much money for what it is.
600cc Inline-4s are the funnest bikes to ride, and they have more than enough power to go fast. Liter Bikes are kinda boring to ride, as we can just stay in 2nd gear, and we really don't wind up the motor with high revs like we do the 600s. Of all these 600s, the CBR600RR is the only choice for me. Here in the USA in 2024, we do NOT get the Gen6 CBR 600RR, but regardless I still would rather much have a Gen5 CBR 600RR. I don't care that the 2024 USA Honda CBR 600RR has the exact same engine as the 2009. It still looks the best with the best graphics. That red, white, and blue color on it looks amazing, and that underseat exhaust is so super sexy. I am a Honda and Yamaha guy. I can't ever see myself riding a Kawi or Suzuki. Hondas have always been easy to ride and the most comfortable. They are also the most reliable, and are basically bomb proof, so there is also that. CBRs can easily go 100k miles, and there is even one CBR out there that went 300k miles. I have owned a 1994 F2, 1996 CBR 900RR, 1999 F4, 1999 R6, 2001 R1, and 2004 R6, with the F4 and the 2 R6s being my track only and race bikes. I like Yamahas more as canyon carvers and track bikes, but the Hondas are better overall just better street bikes, while being pretty decent in both the canyons and the track. All these power numbers do NOT really matter because it is always 99% rider, and at the end of the day its all about the lap times. I know I can make decent lap times on any of these bikes, as I have won trophies before. So my choice goes to the bike I think looks the best, and that is the Gen5 CBR 600RR, which has been sold in the USA from 2015-2024. I am NOT a big fan of the headlights or the winglets on the Gen6 CBR 600RRs, but I will still pick the Gen6 CBR over the others.
He doesn't know how to do power to weight ratios. Higher numbers means higher power per pounds. Why he went opposite is beyind me. I personally just got a 2024 CBR600RR USA version, and love it.
I disagree I think the r6 is still the best looking bike the problem with the honda cbr 600rr is it looks dated or it did do until i seen this video and found they finally changed the headlights and tachometer but the rear end still looks like something from the early 2000s so for me the r6 all round still looks the best
I personally don't think the R6 is gone. Throughout History everytime a Manufacturer does something like this it's always been to Redesign it from the Ground up. I think it we Return sometime around 2025.
@@rt2255 Discontinuing a Bike, especially a Bike like the R6 gets Peoples attention. Take a few Years to Re-tool Your Factories let People start to miss it. Then create a massive buzz around the release of the next Generation.
Yamaha is still offering a new 2022 R6, but it's for track use only because Yamaha couldn't make the R6 engine euro 5 compliant. Although I suppose you could still convert one for the street
my pick would be the GSXR because the ratio is good and more importantly i want to ride my bike myself. i don't like when bikes feel different all the time and take care of every situation. i think i would not be able to really learn how to ride a bike. what if your helpers fail ? can you ride your bike safely in the rain then ? anyway - thanks for the very informative video !
Most aids can be totally turned off. But most 600 riders need aids as they are not high skilled riders no matter what they say. I have 40 plus yrs riding and most riders i come across cannot speed shift on their own, cannot tune suspension, never heard of counter steering, only add power never spend 5 minutes vhoosingnbetter tires or brake pads or adding stainless brake lines. Thing us experience riders know are important. And most as much as they crow about bikes 1/4 mile times are based on times real riders get. Local dragway is littered with 600s and 1000s with extended swingarms that never get within 1 second of stock bikes best time. Mainly as they cannot launch for sh.t. i can run faster on stock 600 faster than modded extended swingarm 600s, makes them crazy. I actually practice drag launches. Best launch is front tire 6 inches off ground rear tire spinning just a bit and zero bog on launch. Practice is key most extend swingarm and think that makes a drag bike. Skill beats hp every time
@@olafkliemt1145 63 at 7 buddy taught me on yamaha 60. Ridden every sense then. Dirt bikes taught me grest basic riding skills. Went up to honda 400 four super sport, first real street bike. In 79 that puppy was fast smooth and real sport bike. Few basic bikes then in 85 brand new ninja 600. Sorry guys but new 600 as forst bike is insane, no way you are ready for 130 hp 160mph bike, you aint got the skills for what 20 yrs ago was the race bikes 25 yr old racers racing for yrs barely could handle.
exactly......if you can nab a gxsr for say $9500 it would be worth considering.......Kawi just needs to lose that air craft carrier cannon of a silencer and it would look fine.....a slip on would really help the looks
I agree, Kawasaki is rhe most streetable 600... Especially with that extra mid range the others dont have from the extra CC's. I own a modded 2018 Ninja 400 and a bone stock 2023 R7... Eyeing out a second hand 636 to add to my collection and possibly start track riding with it.
If you’re going to take it to the track exclusively, gotta go with the R6. The Honda looks nice, but I’ll bet it’s heavier and still lacks some ponies compared to the R6.
I’m shopping right now for a brand new 600 and I live in Canada. I’m unable to get the cbr600rr or r6 so it’s between a gixxer 6er or a Zx6r. I’m just not a fan of any of the Zx6r Color’s right now. I’m considering a gsxr750 the white and grey one
Don't do it until you've seen that gruel-paste grey in person. Saw a litre bike version of it just last week before I nope'd the F out of there and bought the zx-6r in KRT colors. If I hate it come next year... wrap it or paint it.
I would personally go with the either the kawasaki ZX-6R or the honda Cbr600rr. Or suzuki gsxr 650 is good also but kawasaki is best if you're looking for abs and speed mixed with comfort. Even though I have no experience with motorcycles I just ho off with what I studied about theses bikes. 🙏🏽
Great video! Of the bike you've ridden, which has the smoothest engine? I can't stand vibrating and buzzy grips haha, bugs the heck out of me when cruising on the highway and the bars buzz and your hands go numb. Thanks!
I just bought a gsxr600 and was wondering about this. I feel like the buzzing has increased after the "break in" period and was wondering if I needed to tighten the frame bolts or something. Or is it that buzzy all the time?
this was a good video for tech nerds who look at paper stats more than ride... a good 89% of all the tech talk and trinket items that dealers use to sell bikes wont even be used by street riders. the other 11% are people who actually track their bikes. Best way to make a decision is to test ride each one and make your personal decision. I don't know how many people i helped buy bikes, rode home for them, taught how to ride, got into sport bikes... and they all let their bikes collect dust so all the ABS, TC, wheelie control does jack shit except make your payment higher lol
Idk I used to ride a 600RR, those risers on the clip-ons make it easy. I love GSXRs but now I think about it I feel like the low seat height will have my legs more "scrunched" up and my hips will cramp up more. Idk about you but for me it's the hips not the back, atleast yet haha
my 2021 600RR has the same engine from 2007 but mine makes more power bc of lighter stronger internals. even though its the heaviest 600 it still has quite a bit of power. the 2021 600RR is the same tech and performance as the 600RR in 2010 for pro circuit.
Zuk has championships they figure they don’t need an update! But giving the fact that the 750 is racing in Super Sport now, the 600’s are about to go away. Stay safe Bruddah!
Just last week i was thinking about wheel weight for my car, and remembered you made the carbon rim video for the rc51... then I got thinking I hadnt seen a video from you in my feed in a while. Was worried bro
Between the looks of 650r and zx6r.. It's very different.. and in person it's very obvious the Zx6r is different motorcycle.. it also has that hidden winglet at the chin.. The 650r looks smaller and thinner (due to the tank).. It also looks rounder on the edges. I don't understand people who says it looks similar.. the face is not similar.. the middle side doesn't look the same, the seats are different, lights and even the swing arms.. There's nothing similar between the two as in 100% nothing is the same.. maybe just the color.. While the Ninja 400 looks like a Jr. version of the Zx6r but it's a lot smaller in person..
@@KimmyR3 But I always hang out at Kawasaki shops.. It's really different.. Ninja 400 seems small even the 650. The part of the zx6r also looks premium than the others..
Wait what, what are people talking about? I bought the 2021 Honda CBR 600RR last year with only 0.2 miles on it. And if this video is out a month ago why is it still saying not sold in the US? The store i went too has a few of them as of two weeks ago
whyd u do pounds per horsepower and then say power to weight ratio, in fact whyd u do pounds per horsepower and not just horsepower per pound in the first place
it would even cost suzuki much to update their bike......chassis, brakes, motor are all fine....weight is best in class, throw a TFT and LED lights, and some rider aids......maybe sharpen up angles on fairing and they would have a stunner most important thing is reliability and comfort on the street as this is where most of these bikes live their life.......if going to track clipons and rear sets are easy to dial in ergos if one chooses. hard to argue with kawasaki....either this or GSXR 750 for street bike......sucks Honda doesnt release the bike over here but they figure it wont sell so why ship them.....if supersport sales were up they would have shipped them have a duke 890 R but always wanted a supersport.......
R6 probably the best bet, but honestly you could ride any of them. You should go to the dealer and sit on the bikes and see which one fits you the best.
Hey Hero, I would have to agree with you, but….. there is also the Z900 SE that sells for about the same money, and is arguably a better street bike. And to your point, Honda no longer is selling their 600 here, Yamaha has discontinued the R6, and the Gixxer hasn’t been ungraded in a Blue Moon! So, just a caveat that you might bring up in a subsequent video?
I still personally put 1 thing above all else as bikes are so close in most categories. Reliability owned 3bdofferent yrs of kawasaki 600s, bullet proof motors clutchband even the rest of bik parts fail real rarely. Have friends with all four brands and different yrs. In my oersonal experience and friends issues kawi. Most reliable. Put 60k.on one 600 not one part failed not clutch ststor coils nothing. Not many 600 sportbikes can claim that

@@4325Airborne , numbers means shits. It is all about the lap times!
How would the GSXR 750 fit and work into this category yes it’s a little bigger but…..
I disagree I think the r6 is still the best looking bike the problem with the honda cbr 600rr is it looks dated or it did do until i seen this video and found they finally changed the headlights and tachometer but the rear end still looks like something from the early 2000s so for me the r6 all round still looks the best
R6 looks amazing way ahead of its time
The R6 isn’t road legal anymore, and it costs 12K
Love your videos ! But where have you been the last 3 months ?

Honda is always the most well rounded product.
You should do a naked bike buyers guide love those things
I personally don't think the R6 is gone. Throughout History everytime a Manufacturer does something like this it's always been to Redesign it from the Ground up. I think it we Return sometime around 2025.
If they are not making profit watch out. Same was said about 750s that were around since 1969.😮
@@rt2255 Yeah but the CB-750 has Periodically Returned several times over the Years. Infact They just Released a 2023 Model.

@@jerodrobinson4040 good plan only.if it works. No one knows what the markets will be in 5 yrs. They fail as often as they succeed.
Also you randomly showed a 2008 special edition GSX-R600 at 0:55 😂
Yamaha is still offering a new 2022 R6, but it's for track use only because Yamaha couldn't make the R6 engine euro 5 compliant.

I like the GSXR too, I don't want or need bells and whistles.
Skill beats hp every time
@@rt2255 hahaha how true ! thanks for your replay. i was born 1966, rode my first bike (CR50) at the age of 12.
@@olafkliemt1145 63 at 7 buddy taught me on yamaha 60. Ridden every sense then. Dirt bikes taught me grest basic riding skills. I say that was best experience cause at 14 i got honda sl 125 used and hit streets. Knowing and being totally comfortable on bike was key before playing dodge the idiots in cars lol. Went up to honda 400 four super sport, first real street bike. In 79 that puppy was fast smooth and real sport bike. Few basic bikes then in 85 brand new ninja 600. Now the real fun began, power great handling and great brakes. Had that been first bike I would be dead right now. Sorry guys but new 600 as forst bike is insane, no way you are ready for 130 hp 160mph bike, you aint got the skills for what 20 yrs ago was the race bikes 25 yr old racers racing for yrs barely could handle.
Remember you sold me the zx6r. This video finalized it
exactly......if you can nab a gxsr for say $9500 it would be worth considering.......Kawi just needs to lose that air craft carrier cannon of a silencer and it would look fine.....a slip on would really help the looks
You can get an arrow slip on for 350 with removable db killer.
The Japanese cbr600rr is actually tuned down compared to the US production due to emissions my guess
Did opening say r7 inline 4 thoughtbit was twin? Did i see and hear that wrong?
Thw Zx6r is a great bike.
I agree, Kawasaki is rhe most streetable 600... Especially with that extra mid range the others dont have from the extra CC's. I own a modded 2018 Ninja 400 and a bone stock 2023 R7... Eyeing out a second hand 636 to add to my collection and possibly start track riding with it.
buying a zx6r next month 💪
None of these bikes are for sale in The Netherlands anymore - due to euro 5 emissions.
And sluggish sales for the last 10 years.
How can we still buy one in the netherlands? Or any alternatives?
@@MichaelEmanuelZaire
Second hand market is your best shot.
I could not be more satisfied with that list. Bravo 👏
great video thanks for the effort you put into making it. Liked and subscribed
Guys what is the cheats 600cc I can buy with ABS? And maybe even traction control?
I would personally go with the either the kawasaki ZX-6R or the honda Cbr600rr. Or suzuki gsxr 650 is good also but kawasaki is best if you're looking for abs and speed mixed with comfort. Even though I have no experience with motorcycles I just ho off with what I studied about theses bikes. 🙏🏽
excellent video as always! can you also made 2022 300/400 cc guide too? thanks!
I have a 2021 ZXR6R and its really smoot, my wife has a 2017 GSXR600 and it vibrates a bit when high in the revs
So what do you recommend? What should I buy?
Can’t go wrong with any. I personally think the ninja is the best tho.
I got a 17 gsxr600. Not the prettiest but man its a really good bike
If they are in stock and not marked u up 100%
i am new to this bike market is cbr 600 rr is slower than cbr650r and for the yamaha r6 is slower than r7 and is gsx6r is discontinued
this was a good video for tech nerds who look at paper stats more than ride... a good 89% of all the tech talk and trinket items that dealers use to sell bikes wont even be used by street riders. the other 11% are people who actually track their bikes.
As a taller rider everything on the list feels cramped. Suzuki is the only one to make a tall person bike
Next: CBR650R vs Ninja 650 vs R7 vs... SV650??? Suzuki doesn't have an alternative here. But Aprilia's RS 660 takes over that torch.
I'd very much like to see this 650-class comparison also!
I'm 5'6 and wonder what sports bike would be good for my first time riding ? 🤔
5'8" here and can flat foot my 2015 GSXR 600. It's got the lowest seat hight.

I'd wish we had the honda cbr600rr from Japan.
1:29 nope.... the GSX-R600 has been unchanged since 2011...
How would your 2008 CBR600RR compare with these bikes? I'm really looking at buying one as it's still the lightest generation.
my 2021 600RR has the same engine from 2007 but mine makes more power bc of lighter stronger internals. even though its the heaviest 600 it still has quite a bit of power. the 2021 600RR is the same tech and performance as the 600RR in 2010 for pro circuit.

Do r6 still exists after the launch of r7?
You got the weights of the cbr and the zx6r backwards. The cbr weighs 194kg and the zx6r weighs 197kg
How do we get this CBR here in the us?
Just last week i was thinking about wheel weight for my car, and remembered you made the carbon rim video for the rc51... then I got thinking I hadnt seen a video from you in my feed in a while. Was worried bro
GSXR does have one thing all the other bikes dont... steering damper!
🤦🏽♂️ the CBR’s had that since 07.
Is cbrrr600 out of prodoctsuon in eu ??
CBR600RR 2-handed price is higher than official now.
Why wasn’t the 2022 cbr 600rr used to compare?
Nice video. Am i alone in thinkin undertail looks less appealing then a side exhaust??
Between the looks of 650r and zx6r.. It's very different.. and in person it's very obvious the Zx6r is different motorcycle.. it also has that hidden winglet at the chin..
The 650r looks smaller and thinner (due to the tank).. It also looks rounder on the edges.
I don't understand people who says it looks similar.. the face is not similar.. the middle side doesn't look the same, the seats are different, lights and even the swing arms.. There's nothing similar between the two as in 100% nothing is the same.. maybe just the color..
While the Ninja 400 looks like a Jr. version of the Zx6r but it's a lot smaller in person..
they essentially all have the same headlights. from the ninja, to the ZX series, even their adventure versys line
@@KimmyR3 But I always hang out at Kawasaki shops.. It's really different.. Ninja 400 seems small even the 650.

Anyone know if you can do a JDM front fairing + headlight conversion on the 2013+ U.S. CBR600RR??
just checked the zx 6r in my country, we pay over 50% third world tax over the prices you say here. I want to cry.

I'm getting the Suzuki soon
Excellent video! Would love to see this comparing it with other bikes from around the world too!
The gsxr is around 3,500$ less than a zx6r in the Midwest
Wait what, what are people talking about? I bought the 2021 Honda CBR 600RR last year with only 0.2 miles on it. And if this video is out a month ago why is it still saying not sold in the US?
The store i went too has a few of them as of two weeks ago
Honda continues to sell the older model in USA while the newerr version is Japan only.
whyd u do pounds per horsepower and then say power to weight ratio, in fact whyd u do pounds per horsepower and not just horsepower per pound in the first place
it would even cost suzuki much to update their bike......chassis, brakes, motor are all fine....weight is best in class, throw a TFT and LED lights, and some rider aids......maybe sharpen up angles on fairing and they would have a stunner
most important thing is reliability and comfort on the street as this is where most of these bikes live their life.......if going to track clipons and rear sets are easy to dial in ergos if one chooses.
hard to argue with kawasaki....either this or GSXR 750 for street bike......sucks Honda doesnt release the bike over here but they figure it wont sell so why ship them.....if supersport sales were up they would have shipped them
have a duke 890 R but always wanted a supersport.......
I’m
Getting my first bike and rn im
Stuck between the 1 the Honda and 2 the ninja 😫
what 600 do u guys suggest for a tall guy?
R6 probably the best bet, but honestly you could ride any of them. You should go to the dealer and sit on the bikes and see which one fits you the best.
That power figure lol. My R6 made 113hp to the rear wheel. That’s with a exhaust and a flashed ECU but that power figure seems way off
Hey Hero,
I would have to agree with you, but….. there is also the Z900 SE that sells for about the same money, and is arguably a better street bike.
And to your point, Honda no longer is selling their 600 here, Yamaha has discontinued the R6, and the Gixxer hasn’t been ungraded in a Blue Moon! So, just a caveat that you might bring up in a subsequent video?
the video is for 1. Super sports, Z900se is not a super sport 2. for 600cc…900 is in the name of your bike
Better street bike… far worse on track.
Z900 Horrible for riders 5,8 and up
I still personally put 1 thing above all else as bikes are so close in most categories.
