Hey Paul loved this video. I am also visually impaired. I am married with two kids. My wife and I we’ve talked about going to the Philippines and possibly moving there to have a more simpler life but in my case my sight loss has always just popped up in my mind and aren’t in our conversations considering I didn’t think that I would be able to get around there and the people would understand but in watching your interviewing this gentleman makes me have hope and believe that the Philippines would except my site loss, and that we could actually probably make a life out there with our kids. Thank you so much and hopefully someday we could meet who knows my only fear is 22:06 😊😊❤😊😊not knowing how to get a visa out there and how the three-year visa thing works. If you have any information maybe you can do a video or contact me I’m willing to give you my number and we can do a WhatsApp call. Thank you. God bless you keep up the good work
Hey Joe I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it was very easy for my Visa extensions they basically did it for me and I just paid them 😊 just need to bring some money and your passport.
Paul did an interview with another blind gentleman very recently as well. That was also a really good interview, and the blind guy seemed like an incredible human being, and very funny
Just be in a right place to live in the Philippines and you will surely be happy here. This interview is very informative for expats who has impairment.
@@RobinthePhilippines Hi Robin. Although I am not an art fan I was my best friend’s best customer for years. I purchased 10+ pieces over 20 years when he was “starving” . I gifted the pieces over the years to friends, family and co-workers. Today he shows his work in a few galleries and can now pay his rent regularly, lol. I would like to purchase a piece or two from your work. Where can I view your work? Hang in there i’m pulling for you.
A lot of people in his situation would be hiding in a small apartment back home, lonely and with nothing to look forward to. I think it's great that he is putting himself out there and living on his own terms without fear. I really hope things work out for this young man. In truth, his challenges aren't that much different than many older expats; limited income, medical issues etc. so there is no reason he cant do this. Paul is right. This young man is an inspiration.
Rob is a total inspiration. I can't even imagine anyone with a good heart saying anything negative about him or his situation. Hearing he's so much happier their is so awesome.
I DO NOT see a train wreck! This young man has gone about this adventure very intelligently. He setup his meds, his money and everything else. Even more so, he has planned a one year trail, to make sure it is right for him. I wish him the best in everything he does, either there or in the US if he decides to go back. Rob, you are doing a great job, keep it up.
Hey Guy! Kudos to you young man. All of us have a story and usually play their own violin and get nowhere but deeper into despair. Not you! I'm sure you have your moments too. You are navigating your destiny NOW where too many of us wait till it's almost too late to realize joy. Get on with your bad self. I'm on your side. Glad you and Paul crossed paths ... he's awesome.
I had the pleasure meeting rob an his girlfriend with a few other people . He is a great guy and I give him a lot of credit for what he is doing and know he has good people around him there in the Philippines .Great interview Paul
What a great young man. She answered herself ''people with disabilities make everyone around them into better people.'' About the most important lesson in a year long university course.

I'm a Filipino living in California. I was born and raised in Manila and migrated to California when I was 20. My grandfather was an Irish kid from Minnesota, lied about his age at 16 and joined the Marines. He was then shipped to the Philippines where he took his discharge, married a local girl (my lola) and never went back to the US. LIstening to all these stories now I understand why.
My husband have Crohn’s disease too. He’s on stelara. We only pay $5 every 2 months and our insurance doesn’t cover. I think there’s a program that your gastro Dr can apply to Crohn’s foundation. We will be moving to Philippines next year and he can get his medication from Japan.
Well, what a nice genuine guy. I wasn't sure at the start of the first video but now I am. I won't say too much else but I'm very close to giving up, my strength has almost gone. Yes, I live in the Philippines and have just been moved to an area miles from anywhere and hardly anyone to speak to in great length. I don't need help btw, I'm done with that.

Really Paul? Someone gave a thumbs down on part 1 of this video? Maybe they were smoking a little something and got confused with the buttons :) Rob's an incredible young man who was dealt a challenging life and has turned his life around and working to keep it going good. Best wishes Rob and would enjoy seeing your paintings too and even how you paint. Thanks Paul!
it is interesting that there are videos from ex-pats which say the opposite regarding health care in the Phillipines...and also about personal safety in the Phillipines...I wish this young man good health and a comfortable life in the Phillipines...i'd be interested to see updates in the future
@@paulinthephilippinesolddog9234 Thank you Paul for passing that on. This story really made me look deep inside myself and realize how good I really have it
Hang tough Rob! Very inspirational story sir. You should be proud of all you’ve overcome. I had part of my colon removed at a young age and that basically turns us into the crohns club. Visually you look a lot like the baseball player Cody Bellinger. Not a bad thing! I think you’re in the right place considering how empathetic Filipinas are
The inspirational story of how this young man overcame his adversity and came out winning! Thank you Paul for this timely video that has truly inspired all your viewers including me!
What a great video. He is so inspiring young man. Wow. You have my respect. For the negative comments or thumbs down. Remember this. It takes all kinds to make a village. Even the dumb ones. All the best and enjoy the Philippines 😊
Paul and Rob - There's always going to be those types of people who seek to destroy rather than create, and it's not worth the time or effort to give any attention to them or their negative comments. Responding to them in any way empowers them to continue their behavior since you've given them exactly what they look for/want/need, for them to feel happiness by finding faults with anyone that boosts their own morale and attention. They thrive on it. To Rob, it's great to hear you're finding new friends, regardless of their age or gender. It sounds like you've already found someone (your girlfriend) who has shown you that there truly are caring, loving, supportive and understanding people still around in the world, whether it's in The Philippines, or USA, or wherever you choose to set up for your home base. And it's also clear, you have not let your disabilities or 'bad-boy' background decide what YOU want to do, to be happier, healthier, and to enjoy new things that you can experience. I'm sure you'll find others and more new friends closer to your own age who don't even see your disability as a negative, and as another comment posted here said, you are an inspiration! I too, look forward to seeing your art! And Paul - Thank You again for another great video! Stay Healthy, Happy and Safe, and keep on doing what you're doing, Rob!

Good for Rob! He's moving forward with his life! He's not sitting stagnant and feeling sorry for what he doesn't have but using what he has and finding joy! Keep up the good videos Paul! "You take care Rob" there are always jealous people that make stupid comments!
wow, you are one brave young man Rob. thanks for sharing your story. Good luck and God Bless you. talk about inspiring .. 😃
Great video Paul ! Congrats to this young man for taking the chance in moving to a foreign country and improving his life. He is a great inspiration !
Thanks alto tim 😊
it is interesting that there are videos from ex-pats which say the opposite regarding health care in the Phillipines...and also about personal safety in the Phillipines...I wish this young man good health and a comfortable life in the Phillipines...i'd be interested to see updates in the future
What a great man and also down to earth guy. I wish you the best. Hope the lady or your gf takes good care of you.
Thanks!
Please make sure Rob gets this money Paul, thank you

Such an amazing young man and a truly amazing story. God bless Rob and Paul.
Thanks Joe
Thanks for listening to my story 😊
Great uplifting story.I know people with crohn's disease and avoiding stress is very important.I wish you the best of luck( Erik from Belgium)
Love his perservation through all of his challenges and how he is still going strong.
Hang tough Rob! Very inspirational story sir. You should be proud of all you’ve overcome. I had part of my colon removed at a young age and that basically turns us into the crohns club. Visually you look a lot like the baseball player Cody Bellinger. Not a bad thing! I think you’re in the right place considering how empathetic Filipinas are
Paul love this guy, he has the biggest balls and Heart in the world
The inspirational story of how this young man overcame his adversity and came out winning! Thank you Paul for this timely video that has truly inspired all your viewers including me!
This young man courage is an inspiration for all of us
Thanks alot 😊
What a great video. He is so inspiring young man. Wow. You have my respect. For the negative comments or thumbs down. Remember this. It takes all kinds to make a village. Even the dumb ones. All the best and enjoy the Philippines 😊
Great video Paul & Rob. Wishing you the best. Hopefully after that year you'll decide to have PH as your home. Very inspiring thank you
Thanks alot jeff😊
Thanks alot bob cat and I can't wait to show off my art work 😊

Very encouraging to hear the young man's testimony, passion, drive, and the will to succeed in life as a sight challenged individual. He gives encouragement to all those who have listened to his life journey and his never ending optism. God bless the woman in his life, she's God send.
Thanks for the support 🙂
Amazing how life can change for this brave young man, it is inspiring to others, God bless him and I hope he enjoys his future and makes a new life that he can enjoy and feel safe in , tremendous guy thanks Paul for sharing this to the world cheers mate
Great video. It is good to hear that Rob is able to grow in the Philippines. I wonder if Rob has told his story to others in the Philippines. He can inspire others that are visually impaired. Go to schools or adult centers. He has a great attitude and outlook on life.
Great interview with a nice young man. God bless him.

Hi Paul..once again a informed video….also Baby Mae did a excellent job on her last interview with the 18 year old. Mae asked some hard questions and the young lady was very honest and open to answering.
a big salute to the gentleman ( rob).
Good interview! Best wishes to you Rob! I'm glad you found freedom to get out.
Thanks alot martin😊
Rob, you are a very inspiring young man. You have taken some incredible challenges that life has thrown you..and your triumphing. More power to you Rob. I know there are so many people who are wishing you the very best that life can bring. You have given the world something inspiring already. Mate you need to do motivational speaking.....corporations will line up. You have strength, character, humanity, humility...and all the qualities of an inspirational leader. I won't wish you luck, with your character, you don't need it.
Appreciate that Nicholas

Contemporary Artists represent an expression of a life style that is difficult to compare with historic art movements.
