Second time I’ve smiled so thoroughly at having my world destroyed so beautifully. Thank you Andy and That Pedal Show. These Andy’s are something else. Wood and Timmons both got me. I think because they have you smiling then hit you with this guitar emotion right through.
Imagine coming back to guitar after 4/5 years out from an accident... returning to a TPS binge, setting up your PRS and playing your first four hour session in near six years, whilst listening to your favourite guitarist hang out on your favourite channel... Its 1:40 here, many hours past my bed-time, and I've had a bloody brilliant night. I'll be joining the Patreon ranks on both sides as soon as, and maybe one day I can dream of catching a woodshed event. Apologies if I come across as cheesy, I've had a rare moment of feeling great after some incredibly challenging years, and I just wanted you guys to know a little bit of that impact. Have a fantastic Christmas folks, I'm glad our guitar community and the hangouts are still here. I have a lot to catch up on.
Im the camper that was jammin Born on the Bayou with Mr Rudess and Mr Timmons...it was better than any Christmas present I've ever opened. The entire weekend was amazing! I can't wait for next year!
Andy talking about really hearing something like Banjo or Clapton for the first time and having it change your trajectory - I had that happen to me last weekend. At 53, it may be surprising to English folk, but the whole Smiths thing got by me. I was not into most of the current music of the day while they were popular. After watching the Johnny Marr interview a few times, I dug in deep on his playing. I was fortunate enough to pick up a Rickenbacker 330 a little more than a month ago. Throwing a capo on that guitar and playing along with Johnny Marr youtube concerts loud for about 9 hours last Friday and Saturday changed everything for me!
What a fantastic episode! Fabulous playing, insights, tones; the most fun! If this episode doesn’t bring a smile to a guitar player, then you probably need to change instruments… Currently having a severe talking to my hands….plus putting together what could be an expensive “Dear Santa…” list. Thank all of you guys!
The miced-up sounds on this show are always spectacular, this one and the Andy Timmons show just blow me away. Great to get Andy's backstory, just started checking him out a few days ago. Wow, like EVH of the 21st Century.
Every guest you have on your show inspires me to play. It’s awesome. I never really knew of Andy Wood and now I will follow him on RUclips. I love how he ties different music styles together. I’m the same way. It’s okay to love folk music and Van Halen. Many thanks Gents!
What a fine Gentleman and what an amazing guitarist and sound-artist. Wow wo wow… Dont recall I have ever seen a guitarist with such a wide and understandable musical language. I wrote this 15 min in, now minutes later - BLOWN AWAY. What the biip…
I met Andy this week at Guitar store local to where we live. We chatted about Revv amps, Suhr guitars and other things he could not have been nicer. Beyond the playing he’s just a very nice person.
Andy Timmons, Greg Koch, and Andy Wood episodes on TPS will go down as some of the greatest episodes ever. So much entertainment, and information on gear and technique. Good job TPS!
I never tire of Dan’s genuine expressions of joy watching masters do their thing. It feels like it’s for the love of the music and playing and not an attempt to sell you something.
The greatest show on the planet with some stellar guests. Awesome to get to know Andy Wood, such an inspiraton, breaking barriers that should never exist in music in the first place. Thank you...
Interesting, this video has 137,000 views yet the information, playing and overall conversation for real guitar nerds like myself is a must watch , where are the other million people that tuned in to watch some of the other videos?
TPS - this shows the value of your show. When top players from diverse musical backgrounds want to be on your show to play and explain where their influences come from, you have GOT to be both pleased and humbled by the content they produce. As guitarists, our environments are only enriched by listening to these people play. Its made even easier by the fact that it feels like you are in our living rooms... informal, but at the same time, great quality. And truly awesome guests - Timmons, Gallagher, Marr, Wood and other guitar royalty. Sincerely, thank you. This is genuinely on the road to fulfilment. Andy is an unbelievable player; his set-up is great too. I was looking for an influence to complete a guitar build and this burnt / oiled look is now the top contender... Keep smashing it. TFI Friday for TPS.
What a fantastic musician and a beautiful human being! Loved this time with Andy Wood. And D&M, you guys continue to impress, grow, and bring us the highest quality content and guests. Thank you SO MUCH!
Best RUclips show! Makes you feel you are in there with them ! Simple 3 dudes with guitars in a room with outstanding film and audio quality! Ty guys !
What I love about Andy Wood (& Andy Timmons) playing is, their ability to make you feel that they are NEVER just throwing lines out there. 100% intentional I know it’s an illusion, but they are so dynamic and capable I feel that way. Dude, so good, on so many levels. Lovely human being
I am embarrassed to admit I have missed Mr. Wood over the years but what an engaging, generous, humble, entertaining and most importantly FLIPPIN’ TALENTED person. Thank you.
The sound in the room must have been amazing, judging by the smiles on Dan and Mick’s faces! Sounds great on good headphones but a picture speaks a thousand words!
I have corresponded with Andy here and there on social media and he is always really down to Earth and helpful. It almost…ALMOST…makes you forget what a terrifying guitar player he is. I love seeing good people get the attention they so rightly deserve. Bravo Andy and TPS.👏🏻 Oh, and that Andy Wood Suhr is really calling to me.
Fantastic show Leg Ends, what a player Andy is , just when you think you can't suck anymore than you already do , ANDY TURNS UP !! " no i don't think i suck, i just love playing my Guitar" as Mick always says " to compere is too redactive ? " or something like that, in all seriousness you think you can play & then you meet a BLUEGRASS PLAYER!! Those people are on another level. Many thanks for another wonderful show. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤❤.
Andy is as much of a nerd about tone and pedals as you two. I love it. A lot of guitarists just focus on playing and tone is secondary but when you hear the guys that are fully involved in it all, its eye opening.
I was finally able to attend Andy’s annual Woodshed Guitar Experience in August…Andy Wood, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Mark Lettieri, Brent Mason, Greg Koch, Seth Goldblum, Uncle Ben Eller, and many other outstanding musicians.
Now that...THAT was special. Andy revealing not just tricks of the trade for sessions/Nashville/Top Level Guitarists, but the thinking behind them was enlightening. Thanks guys for a very enjoyable TPS episode.
What a fantastic hang out that was to watch. I have been a woodshed fan for 3 years now and Andy is such an inspiration. Finally got my hands on a Gearbox all the way out here in NZ about 2 weeks ago and adore the thing. His Tele is what made me pickup a Tele Deluxe for the first time just to get even close to holding something so epic as his Suhrs and it’s been my main gigging guitar since. He got my into practicing picking using fiddle tunes and my right hand has never felt as confident. Genuinely a hero of mine and watching this had a smile on my face the whole way. Music lovers everywhere thank him and his grandad for everything they’ve added to our lives with their generational inspiration. One day I will get to one of his clinics if I have to swim to the US to do it. Thanks guys
I had the good fortune of attending 2 of Andy's clinics at Cosmofest. He is such a phenomenal talent. The best things is that he's an even better human!!! What a super guy, humble and down to earth, with great advice. Wishing Andy, as well as Dan and Mick all the best. Thank you all for doing what you do!!
love it!!! Huge AW fan and patreon member and 4 time Woodshed Guitar Experience attendee/photographer!!! Thanks AW for sharing so much with us mere mortals. Mick and Dan please come to Woodshed 2024 : )
Andy Wood, Andy Timmons , and Guthrie Govan express a sense of clarity and fluidity which delivers MUSICally. Technical abilities which support style are secondary - at best.
WOW! Beautiful piece at the very end! ANYONE who hasn’t jumped over & subscribed or follow Andy simply doesn’t recognize talent, achieved through natural talent, hard work, practice & dedication! He sat in with one of my BFs a few times in Myrtle Beach. Both players are world class so needless to say, it worked! 😂
TPS is the most entertaining show on YT! If you enjoyed Andy talking about EVH he has an one hour + video on tbe EVH SDE 3000 delay. He plays VH in that video better than anyone I have ever heard.
Such a great interview, and AW my god how great is he, super clean fast everything, to be able to play like that I never will, won't stop trying though.....
What a gigantic omission on my part for not paying attention to Andy Wood earlier. What a player, what a seemingly great guy. And his tones are nearly as sweet as Andy Timmons' - pretty clear the impact AT has had on Wood, all for the better. Andy Wood for sure has his own unique voice on the instrument. I shall be rectifying this enormous oversight immediately. AWESOME as always leg-ends....
Andy has always had such an infectious energy, incredible ability mixed with a big smile. His crossover between styles to make "His Thing" is just a melting pot of goodness. Thanks TPS for this one ❤
OMG This was fun! I gotta say, when Andy was talking about sound and talking fast, there were a few words that just ran right over me, and I realized how much I DON'T know...but overall, I got a lot out of this. He is a phenomenal player, and while watching this I realized that my guitar "education" is missing having a Bluegrass player to play with and learn from. I always enjoy TPS, but this one was especially good. Thank you: Mick, Dan and Andy!
I had the opportunity to ‘Hang’ with Andy over the following weekend. His playing is beyond, even more than that he’s is a really cool fellow human being..
Thank you Dan & Mick & Andy ! Another excellent episode with great insights. That Pedal Show offers one of a kind content here on RUclips. Excellent ! Best Wishes - John
This was so much fun!!! 🧡🎸🏁
Dude, you had me cracking up. So stoked to see you on here man. Great job brotha
never really heard of you...dude you play all styles!!! so impressed hey from nyc!!!
Second time I’ve smiled so thoroughly at having my world destroyed so beautifully. Thank you Andy and That Pedal Show.
These Andy’s are something else. Wood and Timmons both got me. I think because they have you smiling then hit you with this guitar emotion right through.
Nice of you to finally get known! Lol! 😜
Great to see you on the show! It was nice of you to put down the new Mortal Kombat game to come play guitar for a bit.
Andy Wood is the guitar player's guitar player. The guy is incredible.

Andy is such a monster. Definitely one of most fun episodes to watch ever.
Ya this was a good episode
He's great; one of the very best players ever.
The miced-up sounds on this show are always spectacular, this one and the Andy Timmons show just blow me away.

@andywoodmusic ///// That Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" had ALL the Charlie Hunter flavor, plus some slap ya mama. very nice.
I had the pleasure of meeting Andy twice at cosmo in Toronto… pure class … such a great guy and insane talent
I met Andy this week at Guitar store local to where we live. We chatted about Revv amps, Suhr guitars and other things he could not have been nicer. Beyond the playing he’s just a very nice person.
Andy is such an inspiring combination of technical facility, musicality, AND a pure love of music! What a talent!
Andy Timmons, Greg Koch, and Andy Wood episodes on TPS will go down as some of the greatest episodes ever. So much entertainment, and information on gear and technique.
Good job TPS!
You can see the mandolin experience in Andy's right hand. It's really something
I never tire of Dan’s genuine expressions of joy watching masters do their thing. It feels like it’s for the love of the music and playing and not an attempt to sell you something.
I didn't know Andy but now I do. Thank you gentlemen for turning me on to him.
I dont know how I've never heard of Andy, but WOW this dude is a monster! Absolutely gained my respect and a new fan!
Andy is so well rounded, the guy just oozes knowledge and passion. He makes everything look so easy. What a brilliant guy and true professional!
I predict that this will be the most watched over and over and over
Oh my lord, we are being blessed on TPS recently! You guys deserve and need way more subs, this content is next level!
And the play out was as amazing as the rest of it ! Probably my favorite of all your shows I've seen. What a great guy and musician, clearly !
This dude is like the Ted Lasso of guitar, love it!
😂 I love it
Guthrie next?… Adam Goldsmith would be a good one too 🙏🏼😀
Andy Wood is a musician magician
The sincere joy I see on your faces as you listen to Andy Wood talk about Eddie Van Halen playing is just wonderful. Makes me smile.
Greatest guitar player of all time = the one that makes you nostalgic for your youth.
The greatest show on the planet with some stellar guests. Awesome to get to know Andy Wood, such an inspiraton, breaking barriers that should never exist in music in the first place. Thank you...

OMG. Just when I think this show could not possibly get better, it gets better...
Andy giving me the Chills this morning. (Yes, Pointy Nips too).

I love Andy Wood as much as Julian Lage for the unbounded optimism in everything he plays. Always inspiring.
Can you give me some examples, please? I don't get it
I think his fingers actually left his hand at one point !!! WOW Amazing guitarist. Thanks for the great shows, TPS ROCKS !!!!
What a fantastic musician and a beautiful human being! Loved this time with Andy Wood.
And D&M, you guys continue to impress, grow, and bring us the highest quality content and guests. Thank you SO MUCH!
Andy Wood is an incredible inspiration, a unique musician and a true gentleman.
I missed this one when it came out! Andy is one of my favourites, he's a master of all trades!

I am embarrassed to admit I have missed Mr. Wood over the years but what an engaging, generous, humble, entertaining and most importantly FLIPPIN’ TALENTED person. Thank you.
Andy is the best - love you Andy !
i’ll die a happy man now that i’ve heard a guitarist play nessun dorma. your instrument doesn’t restrict you to, or from, any genres!
The sound in the room must have been amazing, judging by the smiles on Dan and Mick’s faces! Sounds great on good headphones but a picture speaks a thousand words!
This fella is the bees bollocks ..unbelievably great and to my shame I’ve never heard of him…excellent show
YES!!! Finally! One of my very favorites ever! Thank you for this
Even with all that technique Andy has, he still has an incredible feel and soul in his playing.
Cheers my dude 🙏🏻
"Bring sand to the beach." Andy has some gloriously Southern turns of phrase. And what a picker 🎸
I'd never heard of Andy Wood until this video but what a player! I will certainly be checking him out. Thanks Dan and Mick.
It's easily one of your best episodes for me 😊❤😂 Amazing Grace wooooow
I can't think of a more beautiful way to tribute a loved one than to write a melody like that. brought tears to my eyes
Mick, you look like you've been taking good care of yourself! Cheers
Fantastic show Leg Ends, what a player Andy is , just when you think you can't suck anymore than you already do , ANDY TURNS UP !! Two coffees, hour and a half leisure, and a little AMAZING GRACE to end another EPIC Video. Bravo @That Pedal Show & @Andy Wood Music 🙏🏼❤
Playing guitar like Andy does should be illegal in a way. Fantastic episode.❤❤❤
YES! So good. Andy is an absolute beast so happy to see him on the show.
Andy is as much of a nerd about tone and pedals as you two. I love it.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had my socks just knocked off by someone I didn’t know of before. What a talent. And what a great show
Aside from enjoying Andy's genius playing, I'm loving the oil finished look of that Suhr! Also Andy seems like a great dude.
i can longer refer to a whammy bar as anything other than a kickstand from now on! amazing player and genuine bloke, full marks as always guys!
Now that...THAT was special. Andy revealing not just tricks of the trade for sessions/Nashville/Top Level Guitarists, but the thinking behind them was enlightening. Thanks guys for a very enjoyable TPS episode.

This was a great episode. Thank you for inviting Andy. Monstrous player and seems like a very humble guy. Can't wait for a new album.
This may be the best guest ever..Andy can play everything..And so humble and honest
"The science of guitarists audience" we want a full show around that !!
love it!!! Huge AW fan and patreon member and 4 time Woodshed Guitar Experience attendee/photographer!!! Thanks AW for sharing so much with us mere mortals. Mick and Dan please come to Woodshed 2024 : )

HOLY TPS BATMAN!!! One of my favorite episodes and I've yet to watch it. Totally dig Andy Wood and the woodshed. This is next level
What a show, awesome. Love Andy. Cheers from Germany.
TPS is the most entertaining show on YT! If you enjoyed Andy talking about EVH he has an one hour + video on tbe EVH SDE 3000 delay. He plays VH in that video better than anyone I have ever heard.
This may have been my fav TPS interview.
What fun. Thanks for coming on this show Andy. I am a Tennessean like yourself.
Never heard of Andy before this. I sure do enjoy both his playing and his tonal sensibilities.
One of my favorite guitarists and who seems to be a great person as well. Just a monster at any style he touches.
Such a great interview, and AW my god how great is he, super clean fast everything, to be able to play like that I never will, won't stop trying though.....
Not sure why but I felt this whole video to the core of my soul. God bless you That Pedal Show for all you do.
That was an amazing episode.. couldn’t take my eyes/ears off
Andy is the new coolest guitarist on the block. Super humble, crazy talented, AND a gamer? Dang bro. LOVED this interview.
Andy is such an inspiring person. His love of music and guitar are so infectious. Can't help but want to pick up a guitar when you hear him play.
Beautiful.
Thank you, Gentlemen!
I adore Andy's playing - what a treat this is. Thank you, chaps.
Andy has always had such an infectious energy, incredible ability mixed with a big smile. His crossover between styles to make "His Thing" is just a melting pot of goodness.
Thanks TPS for this one ❤
OH YEAH! LOVE ANDY'S ATTITUDE ABOUT PLAYING LOUD! GREAT STUFF!!!!
I love Andy picking so much
My favorite commercial from the 80's!
EVH is the king. Totally agree 😊 Still can’t believe he’s gone…
That might be the greatest into on TPS of all time.
I had the opportunity to ‘Hang’ with Andy over the following weekend. His playing is beyond, even more than that he’s is a really cool fellow human being..
That guitar is a work of art.
Amazing episode! Thank you for bringing in Andy, I'm always amazed by his musical brain and how humble he is.
Thank you! Excellent chat.
Thank you Dan & Mick & Andy ! Another excellent episode with great insights. That Pedal Show offers one of a kind content here on RUclips. Excellent ! Best Wishes - John
