I went last year. It was a great experience and ABSOLUTLEY EVERYONE was so kind and friendly. I was telling my sister about it and she said it must be all the crystals. Anyhow, even though I have a bunch in my garden and a small tote full of of small pieces, and a bunch more on display in my house, I'm still tempted to go again.
I'm part of a rock swapping group on Facebook, where I met someone who lives in this region who regularly finds these *amazing* druzy quartzes on their property. I've been able to swap some of the agates I find locally in WA state for them and I am in love. I need to visit Missouri someday for rockhounding. Maybe for this dig if work will give me the time off!
The thumbnail with the "Root beer crystals found here!" right above the dog makes us think that it is found in the dog's furr 😆 even has the same color too 🤣
Just went to the public event for this! Got to meet Bryan and had an awesome time collecting some beautiful crystals. If you’re ever thinking about going to one of these public events, then stop thinking and just go! You’ll have an incredible time 🤙🏼
Root beer quartz must be a new stone? About 20 years ago I made jewelry out of crystals and I remember there weren't that many stones at that time. There are a huge variety now 💜
this is so wild you post this right now!! im taking a trip here in 3 days! my 18th birthday was yeserday and i chose to go here for my bday trip!! so excited! wish i could hold out until may Lol. maybe ill come back. itll be my first time
I didn't even know rootbeer quartz was a thing. It kinda looks like citrine. I'll definitely run that event by my sister and maybe we can go over to Missouri for mother's day. Since it falls on that weekend. My mom would enjoy that.
Beautiful stuff! Wish I could make the event but just to far away for me. If you’re doing anything in North Carolina I would love to know, might could make that and would love to dig with ya! Great video!
I watch everyone of your videos. Looking forward to come to one of your events. I am retired 🎉and ready to enjoy life. Hope we get to meet someday . I am in a rock club but we dont go to different places and rock hounding.
I commented on how I was digging around with my hoe in NEPA while back , I have some different looking minerals in my ground and a lot of alluvial materials , white clays and black lava rocks etc , I found a couple perfect tiny rutile crystals , well I think it’s Rutile quartz but clear as glass and tiny , but just found them last weekend . Then I found a tiny twin crystal blood red but pretty clear .So cool !!
Did you know there are impact zones around there Full of meteorites and impactites? Seems that area was heaven sent-I’ve a few pallasites that were found no more than 30 miles away from Haunted Ridge
Wow. Beautiful! Look at that plate!! 😍 But also... Why is it haunted? 😰 Gonna pass on this one. Y'all can keep the haunted ones. Ghosts and I go away back. Too much spooky 🫣 lol
@@TheCrystalCollector that's a relief! 😌 Quartz is truly amazing. Speaking of, I'm looking forward to the eclipse dig🌈. We hope to see ya on the mountain.
Bring plenty of buckets for your finds, but he does have extra here to purchase. Also, I would bring some wrapping paper for your better finds, you don’t want them getting damaged in the bucket, so a bit of wrap goes along ways. The best who is a small gardening tool like a three prong tool for shifting through dirt or a potato rake.
If anyway possible, I would make it out to this event, it’s going to be incredible!!! I will be there a week early to prep out the entire place more than ever before!!
4:40 that smile says it all. That is one beautiful, perfect crystal cluster right there, I am totally envious
Beautiful find! 200 lbs! Incredibly beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Bryan!
Yeah, it’s wild how huge the pieces can get there!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: The red mud is calling me! Bryan & Matrix... you know how to party!🎉
Loved that last take with Matrix. That old boy still has the stuff of a true Rock Hound. You're blessed to have such a partner. ✨✨✨✨🌟
Your machine digs at Haunted Ridge are always epic! Can’t wait for the next one!

It’s really awesome how much time and work you put into these events so others can get out there and enjoy these digs with some experienced guidance.

It’s not an official name or anything but it describes the color nicely. The color comes from

Some of the crystals resemble frog egg clusters in the sun...
Btw, thank You so much for sharing the good stuff on YT 💯👍💯
Very good, good lucky
I have never heard of this before.
That’s what all the locals are starting to call it root beer , it’s just a variety of citrine

Hello from Cali
Hey 🙌💎🙌💎💜
Did you know there are impact zones around there Full of meteorites and impactites? Seems that area was heaven sent-I’ve a few pallasites that were found no more than 30 miles away from Haunted Ridge
Cool dog.
Check out the Mine at Bonne Terre next time you are in the Cadet, MO, area. Worth the fee to ride the underground boat.
Wow. Beautiful! Look at that plate!! 😍
But also... Why is it haunted? 😰
Gonna pass on this one. Y'all can keep the haunted ones. Ghosts and I go away back. Too much spooky 🫣 lol
it’s not really haunted that’s just been the name of the area so the owners decided to name it haunted Ridge.
@@TheCrystalCollector that's a relief! 😌

Hey I am planning on being there on the 11th!! I am super excited, but I was wondering was tools I should bring

I would love to come

@@TheCrystalCollector I’m a disabled veteran and can’t afford the drive unfortunately
DAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!
Do you ever go to Central Texas to dig for crystals?😊
I left with 16 buckets my first trip there. I'll have agate and drusy forever..lol
Amazing crystals. Hope to be able to do actual digging like this and not salted digging someday.
Is this in Washington county Missouri because I have a piece of courts from there that’s very similar
Are you going to Herkimer KOA mine for its grand opening. They are supposed to be excavating a new area.
I have been there several times, never really enjoyed myself at that location
Where do you sell these? I've got a few pieces....
What’s some good places to find minerals/gemstones in Washington and Oragon?
How do you know the difference between “root beer quartz “ and citrine ? It’s always been a curiosity of mine
How often are these events held?
I live in Missouri and have never heard of this place i definitely ganna take the family!
Those kinda look like coral.
Do you have tapered quartz crystal for sale?
I've soaked my stones several in water after the Iron Out but they keep turning frosty white after they dry. Any suggestions?
When are you doing a live chat next
