in the wild west, once a bounty was found, the bounty hunter had nine minutes to get them back to town. after that nine minutes, even if the bounty was walked into the jail and placed on the floor, nobody cared and the person was no longer a wanted criminal

1: arthur mogans bouny must be the biggest in the rdr2 universe if you went down the dishornerable path
2: RDR2 online legendary bountys have 5 different levels 1 star (low payout for easyer bounty) level 5 ( high payout for harder to catch bounty) but the cost moves to around 250$ and example of this is the bauw bounty at level 5 alive you get around 250$

Those 5000$ bounty posters made me a happy cowboy.
The idea for the Bounty Hunter Newsletter is also really cool, making the bounty chases a bit more immersive in the RDO world. More or less like the treasure maps in story mode, that required you to actually discover the map and take notice of details and landmarks around you.

Don’t know how much interest others would find in this topic, but I’m hoping maybe you’ll consider doing a video based on the trapper and the fur trade. You mentioned you wished they’d add more fur coats online in your clothing video. What is the accuracy of the animals hunted and used to make leather and fur clothing in the main game, and what prices could you expect for them as a trapper or trader? What animal furs and leather were more prized than others? What could you expect to get for trading or bartering them with various groups of people or individuals? Where certain pelts or leathers prized by native Americans or other groups? Just an idea I hope you’ll consider.

The way payment works for legendary bounty's is time dependent.
Every 3 minutes you will get .08 gold and an increase of cash till you reach 15 minutes, then the gold will only go up by .04. The cap is 24 minutes that you can wait to turn in the bounty netting you .48 gold and I believe around $230
    Minutes/ gold
    3/.08
    6/.16
    9/.24
    12/.32
    15/.36
    18/.40
    21/.44
    24/.48
I tend to turn them in at 12 minutes

@@ManvsHistory I know this is old but yeah it is weird, and for normal bounties that have time limits if you turn them in at the last 30 seconds you get more of a payout too. This also works in other rockstar games like gta. In gta online I used to spend like a half hour sitting infront of the finish line in a helicopter race back before they had any ways to make money and then after the 30 min mark I'd beat it and make more money. Still to this day it occurs on both games for basically every job and I'm not sure why, it might just be because it detects like "oh hey you had trouble with this and spent valuable time on it so here's a better payout" but I don't know if R* is that generous

I think that proves how reluctant rockstar is to keep accuracy and legitimacy of their product versus getting money from micro transactions towards in-game currency.

I typically try to avoid responding to comments that are this old but, if you're still interested in having this question answered and Man Vs History hasn't made a video about it. I'd highly recommend researching two things.
      1) The Hatfield and Mcoy feud
      and
      2) Plantations in Louisiana and how they survived post civil war. I'm personally not too sure about the "Greys" but I know Braithwaite Manor is a Rockstarified interpretation of Oak Alley Plantation.

I got real excited when you talked about bounty hunting implemented in the game. I Imagine it being almost a passive thing, you are given a vague description of some NPC or even other player that will reveal, after followed enough or interrogated, a next clue Who to follow/interrogate or of a point of interest that Will hold the next clue. This could possibly be made into like random and unscripted and would be to me very refreshing, the action without shooting and being a reckless jackass. And of course all these NPC's would be anonymous, no waypoints provided

    • @ManvsHistory
      @ManvsHistory  4 года назад +1

Exactly, Antii. I see it as passive too. Then perhaps you get a lead, but you still know there's a 5% chance that anything will come of it. But it's all part of the journey.
